For Birth Control "I've had the patch for 3 months after having the Mirena removed. The patch is amazing despite constant breast tenderness. I'm happier and more Chilled out, my partner has noticed too. Best contraception I've ever tried! Highly recommend."

For Birth Control "I've never used any contraceptive before but when my doctor told me I just needed to change the patch once a week I knew it was the patch for me. I LOVE the side effects! My breast increased in size, my butt did too, my weight is stable and my sex drive is amazing! Some breakouts here and there but not that bad."

For Birth Control "I'm 17 and have been using the Ortho Evra Patch for about 2 years now, I absolutely love it!! It helped out my periods a lot! Before I was on the Nuvaring and I hated it compared to the patch! It's so easy to remember and easy to apply! It just looks like a nude color band aid, I just apply it to my butt cheek so no one can see it. The first few weeks I had some problems, but after I've never had another problem with it! I highly suggest it! And it definitely prevents pregnancy!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch for 13 years. It's been amazing. No real side effects except for slight mood change before my period is due. My periods are shorter, lighter and I always know when it's coming. No weight gain. My skin is flawless. It's rare I get a pimple and if I do it clears up quickly with no marks. I love this form of birth control and would highly recommend it."

For Birth Control "I loved this birth control. I suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome. On this birth control I lost 60 pounds, and I probably would have continued losing the weight I gained from the syndrome if I didn't stop. Unfortunately, insurances don't like covering this, which is why I had to stop taking it, as I couldn't afford it. I hate the new pill I'm on, and might switch up again. This patch didn't make me depressed (like the pill does), I lost acne quickly, and my hair lessened in growth. The only thing I hated is after you take off the patch you have the square mark from it on you for a couple weeks. I recommend 100%!"

For Birth Control "I've even on the patch for just over a year now. I like the patch, but there are side effects. Be careful putting the patch near your groin muscles. It can cause blood clot. And it is extremely painful! It happened to me and I'm still in the patch I'm just a lot more careful of where I stick it to. Stick it on your lower back or your bum. Your bum would probably be the bet spot because the patch easily gets stuck on your jeans, shirt, bra, and will come off if you don't notice in time! Overall this birth control is very effective. But remember double the protection, better chances of staying on the safe side."

For Birth Control "The issue with a lot of these reviews is they don't give the patch time to settle. You're giving your body hormones that it isn't used to having excess of so it can take up to 6 months for it to fully settle. I've been on the patch for 8 years and love it. The first 3 months I had headaches, cramps and slight nausea but after that I have had 0 side effects. No other birth control works for me and I would recommend the patch. Please just give it time, it won't be for everyone but 3 weeks, like most of the reviewers have had it for, just isn't long enough."

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch for 8 years. Took it off 2 years ago to conceive my 2nd child and had no problems whatsoever. It does take 3 months to leave your system so keep that in mind before trying to conceive. After those 3 months... BOOM! We were pregnant! Got right back on it after my 2nd was born and have been good ever since! No side effect, I like the fact that I can control when I get my period by removing the patch the week that I want it or putting on a new patch if I don't want it that week. No weight gain, nothing. A in my book!!"

For Birth Control "i’ve been on the patch for about 4 months. I haven’t noticed any emotional changes, nor weight gain, but I’ve been spotting throughout using almost every patch. I am not supposed to have a period with the way my doctor set this up for me (taking patches back to back, indefinitely) but I still have them THROUGHOUT using the patch. The first month I bled every single day, then it cleared up for a couple months, now I’m back to bleeding every day. It’s like a mild period, but I’d say it’s more than just spotting. I’m trying to stick with it to see how it plays out, and hoping i will stop bleeding before the 6 month mark."

For Birth Control "I've been on the patch for about 5 years now and love it. I never had many problems with it. I didn't gain weight but I typically will get a pimple or 2 the week before my period is supposed to start. I do get a slight skin irritation where I put it on. Only a little itchy and no big deal. I wear mine on my stomach and switch sides to help irritation. I don't think it hurts that bad to take off it's like pulling off a bandaid. I have only had 1 fall off and I was swimming every day for a week when it happened. I do notice I am more emotional (and slightly bitchy) while I'm on my period but I put the new one on and I'm fine. definitely would recommend!"

For Birth Control "The only side effects I have experienced are bloating and tender breast. I think my breast are growing and I think it is a downside because I don't want them too. I didn't notice any weight loss or gain. I had spotting which is normal but it is annoying I just suggest using pantyliners"

For Birth Control "Well basically when I first used it, it was great only have tender breasts felt a little sick but it went away. Then all of a sudden I had these terrible mood swings. Felt really emotional. And I've been that exhausted, I've had to take naps during the day. So yeah not that good for me."

For Birth Control "I first decided to try the patch after trying the pills for several months. I liked the idea of only having to worry about changing it once a week as oppose to having to worry about the pill every day. At first everything was perfect, I had some spotting here and there but nothing major. My mood was normal and I had no weight gain. The downside of it for me were the headaches. I got terrible headaches from it."

For Birth Control "My experience with the patch was terrible. I started it Wednesday night and by Evening of Thursday I had a headache and felt completely drained at work to the point where I had to ask my manager if I could be sent home. Went to bed around 9:30 and but kept frequently waking up throughout the night. I had the most intense nausea, threw up, and then threw up again in the morning. Felt as if I was pregnant even though I'm not (on my period while I put the patch on). Immediately took the patch off me. The side effects were too brutal for me to endure."

For Birth Control "Loved the patch! Been using it for about 5 months. The first 2 months my breast were super sore but I went up 2 cup sizes! Soreness started to taper off after 2 months. Weight, acne, and sex drive did not seem to be impacted. If anything they got better. Only complaint is that the patch would sometimes cause my skin to itch a lot."

For Birth Control "Been on the patch for almost four months now and I love it! It is much more convenient than taking birth control pills everyday, most of the time I forget I even have it on. The first month I experienced really emotional mood swings and a really heavy, long period. Those side effects have really tapered off since then, I'm still slightly more emotional during my period and it still can be a little heavy the first day or two. Nothing too bad at all and I think the longer I'm on the Patch, the better it'll get. It is also completely free with my current insurance plan. And the best part, it is effective! All in all I'd totally recommend it"

For Birth Control "I started Orthro Evra about 3 months ago. Let me just say, it has changed my life for the better. One, my period is more light and short. My sex drive has went up. I have put on a little weight. But, to me it's good weight. My breasts have increased from a C cup to a DD! I'm not complaining there! The only complaint that I have had, is one patch did come off. I noticed right away and put on a new patch. Nothing to worry about. This was my first birth control method, so I can't compare it to other forms but, I honestly love it and will continue to use it."

For Birth Control "Been on it for 2 months now, increased 2 cupsizes and lost weight! Went from 140, to 128-130 lbs, only thing is, I'm SO emotional, it's driving my boyfriend and I crazy, I cry about everything. No babies, bigger breasts, weight loss. Sounds good to me! Only problem is emotions, but I'm sure they'll subside."

For Birth Control "I was on the depo recently. Switched to the pill and after month 3 just wanted to throw up every morning. Remember having these side effects when younger. So. Had a break and jumped to Evra! Can say this is the last and final switch! Three weeks in so far so good. Just boobs have shot up a size. Nipples sensitive to touch. Hurts to lay on front. But can't complain looks like I've had a boob job and I know it's temporary. No morning sickness. Not hot flushes (pill gave me). No anxiety of some kind that always managed to rear its head. More motivated. No spots. It's a slow release so I believe as it's not going through blood stream it is necessarily better for you. Definitely recommend if you're out of contraceptive ideas due to above side/e"

For Birth Control "I've been using the patch for over two years because I have no other choice. only upside is ive never gotten pregnant on it. Right away I noticed side effects of gaining weight and nausea. Over time the symptoms became worse. Everyday Monday after changing the patch I become very ill. I wake up hot and disorientated. Then my body forces me to violently vomit for 4-5 hours. While this happens I experience chest pain. Difficulty breathing. Extreme exhaustion. so dizzy I can't walk. My heart feels like it almost skips beats then tries to catch up to itself. It's like having food poisoning."

For Birth Control "I love the patch. I'm 17 and I use it to regulate my periods. They used to be very irregular and long and now they come like clockwork. They're kind of heavy but they only last 4-5 days which is so nice. The first week of the patch I felt pretty nauseated and I had loss of appetite, but after that I was fine. No nausea, no headaches, and my breasts got bigger. The only problem is that I'm extremely emotional. I overreact and cry a lot, especially before/during my period. Overall, though, the patch is great, and way easier than the pill. I recommend it. "

For Birth Control "First birth control I've used and I LOVE it. Been using it for 6 months now. I remember the first 2 patches I ever put on made me a bit nauseous, but now I put it on with no complaints whatsoever. When the patch needs to be taken off for my period, I typically get my period after 24hours. Although not recommended, it does work if you have unprotected sex so it's nice to have that safety in the back of your mind. The only complaint I could possibly have about it is the price of the patch per month. Other than that I've had no side effects and am very happy about it!"

For Birth Control "I was on the Depo shot for 2 years, at first it was fine, but in the last 6 months I became very depressed, my anxiety levels were through the roof. I gained a few extra pounds, and I had mood swings like crazy! I decided to try the patch since it has different hormones, and even though I just finished my first week I can already see a difference. I'm not moody at all, I'm a lot happier and more myself. And I've even lost a few pounds. Other than the breast tenderness everything else is completely fine. I'll still have hormones from the shot in me for a while longer and I never had my period with the shot. I'll just have to wait and see!"

For Birth Control "I ended up trying the patch after having too many bad experiences with the pill form. I have fibroids and am extremely irregular (skip months at a time, so I really needed to be on something. The first few months were a bit rough, but it evened out pretty smoothly after that. I've now been on the patch for over two years and I absolutely love it. I've never had it fall off, and I no longer have any side effects. In fact, 99% of the time I forget it's even there. Not pregnant yet either, so it works there too. Great option if you can't handle the pill."
