For Birth Control "I've been on Falmina birth control for about 8 months now, and I love it. I have not gotten pregnant, and my cycles are much lighter, less cramping, and shorter. My acne has cleared! I would most definitely recommend this birth control. The only negative thing I find annoying at times is breast tenderness."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I wanted to share this because I've had nothing but a positive experience taking Falmina. No pregnancy despite no other form of birth control, an extremely regular, light period, and literally no side effects. I have gained about 10 pounds, but I credit that more to my bad eating and lack of exercise. I know there are a ton of bad reviews, but don't be scared, I've had a great experience."

For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "I was really hesitant to take this birth control after reading the reviews on here. I have been on a variety of BC, including Aviane and a bunch of others, but none have stabilized my moods as much as Falmina. In the first month, I definitely had an increase in breast size and a little bit of weight gain. Acne hasn't been that extreme except for one zit on my chin (spironolactone helps with that), but that's minimal in comparison to PCOS symptoms in general. I've had a really good response to the medication, and I have had the most emotionally stable month I've had in a long time. Please try it for yourself before freaking out about the comments. I know how anxiety-provoking it can be to be switching hormones up."

For Premenstrual Syndrome "I’m starting my 3rd month on this pill and am using it to treat PMDD. I take the pills continuously, only the active ones. The first two weeks I had a few mood swings (nothing like PMDD, so manageable), chills, and nausea rarely. I used to get menstrual migraines every month and still do, but am hoping those go away as my body adjusts. I’ve been spotting for 2-3 weeks and hope that will go away too. Most importantly, I haven’t had PMDD in two months!! This is life-changing, and the side effects of spotting and one pimple here and there are 100% worth it to me."

For Birth Control "My acne is the worst it has ever been due to this birth control, Falmina. Since I’ve started taking it, my acne has progressively gotten worse and worse over time. This birth control was originally prescribed to help with acne prevention, but has proven itself otherwise."

For Birth Control "In my experience, this has worked wonderfully! I have no problems with weight, if anything, I feel like it helps me lose weight. I've had no problems, just the usual symptoms when you first start taking it. This birth control is really effective. If any accidents happen, you'll be fine, there are plenty of times I thought I would get pregnant, but it worked, and my period came. I really have nothing bad to say, and I'll continue to take it. Even if you don't take it exactly at 9:00 pm, for example, and you take it a little later, you'll be fine, just as long as you take one each day. Hope this helped, I recommend (:"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Falmina 28 for 4 years with no issues. I started using it at 15/16, and I’m now 19, graduated from high school with my first full-time job. For Polycystic Ovary Syndrome "This medicine is terrible. 3 weeks in, I started having severe depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and hideous dark thoughts. I had zero history of mental illness prior and have never experienced any of this prior to taking this medication. If your doctor suggests it, ask for something else!"

For Birth Control "I have been on Falmina for about 4 months now, and at first, I was severely hormonal. I went through a little depression period while on it and had anger outbursts, but after the second pack, they subsided. My periods before I was on it were very painful because of severe cramps. But Falmina has stopped the cramping and has made my periods very short. The thing I don't necessarily like is I have spotting around the 3rd row of the pill almost a week before I am supposed to get my period, which is annoying. My appetite has increased a bunch, but a good diet and exercise are a part of my daily life, so I have actually lost weight on the pill. My boyfriend and I have been sexually active and don't use condoms or use the withdrawal method, and I haven't gotten prego!"

For Birth Control "I got a prescription for Aviane and received Falmina from my pharmacy. I was immediately worried because of the poor ratings online. Thankfully, I have had a great experience with Falmina. It has regulated my period (I get it on the same day down to the hour each month), helped my cramps, lessened my acne, and hasn't caused any weight gain or bloating. The only negative is that I have noticed I am a bit more emotional since starting Falmina. This is the first birth control I have been on, and I don't see any reason to change."

For Birth Control "On Falmina for about two years, stopped taking it after I missed a week due to my doctor failing to update my prescription, been off for two months. My acne was okay, but it used to be pretty clear before I went on it. I'm sure other factors mixed in, but I gained over 60 lbs over the course of the last couple of years, which was abnormal for me. Since going off of it, I've already begun to lose weight, and I'm not exercising at all and eating about the same as I usually do. Since Thanksgiving, I've lost 10 lbs, which is fast for me, which I didn't even notice till I happened to weigh myself a few days ago. As for my periods, they were short, like 4 days max, always landed on the Wednesday night/Thursday morning of the placebo week pills, and ended Saturday night/Sunday morning about 98% of the time. Super light most of the time and rarely any cramps, and if I did, it was like once during my period for a few minutes, and it wasn't ever so painful I couldn't move. I hope this helps someone."

For Birth Control "I have had a large variety of problems with birth control. My first bc, Tri Linyah, depressed me to no extent, gave me mega cramps, heavy periods, and made me feel sick every day. I switched to Falmina after being on that for 6 months, and it was amazing how normal I felt again. My mood swings were under control, and I could fully function through my day without having to feel ill. I recently have been switched to Orsythia, and even though it's only been a month on it, I can tell it's leading right to depression. I'm switching back to Falmina immediately. I wanted to share my experience because Falmina was a godsend for me, and I wanted to give more insight than the negative reviews gave. Everyone responds differently. Find what works for you :)"

For Birth Control "I was taking another birth control pill for a couple of years and never had any side effects from it. Then, a couple of weeks ago, I went to get a refill, and the pharmacy said that the pill I was taking had been replaced by Falmina. They said it had the same ingredients as the last pill I had been taking. The first week of taking this new pill, I thought everything was normal. Then, within the second week, I started getting really angry and sad, etc. I also started spotting, which I never did between periods before. I've even been extremely tired and haven't had any energy in the past couple of weeks. I was not expecting any of these side effects since I thought there was not a difference in medication, but the crazy mood swings and tiredness were terrible."

For Birth Control "When I came home from college, my pharmacy didn’t carry Aubra and switched me to “generic” Falmina, and I HATE it. It made me gain an incredible amount of weight. My periods are completely out of whack; some months it will come a week early, some will be a few days early, and others will be when it’s supposed to be. When I get my periods, I never know how heavy they are going to be, and some months they still give me awful cramps. My breasts are tender for all weeks of the month other than the week right after the placebo pill. I get worried that I’m pregnant (which Falmina has been good at preventing) because my symptoms, such as breast tenderness and random spotting between placebo pills, are so bad. I get dizzy and nauseous, have had no motivation, have zero sex drive, and have been prescribed an anti-depressant medication since I’ve been on Falmina. I have been on Falmina for 9 months and will be switching."

For Birth Control "My OB-GYN doctor prescribed Falmina to me due to my extremely heavy periods and ovarian cysts. I've been taking it for 7 months now, it's done nothing but cause extreme hair loss, depression, and hasn't made my periods lighter. I'm incredibly irritable and have mood swings, constant night sweats, and yeast infections ever since I've taken this!!! I absolutely hate this. The only good thing that's happened is no ovarian cysts and no weight gain. I'm done taking this. I'm switching over to another low-dose birth control and hoping for the best. I'm anemic, and this has made my hair even worse. I'm even more depressed, my hair used to be so thick and beautiful. I have great genes, I dunno what else to do. Good luck to y'all."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I've been on this for I think four months now. Before taking it, I had a weird issue where I had spotting that lasted for months. By my first week on Falmina, the weird spotting went away. However, I started bleeding a few days before my first round of placebos, and then my first period on the pills was absolute hell. I missed classes due to excruciating cramps and uncontrollable bleeding. I used both NyQuil and Tylenol but still rolled with pain for the better part of a week. Despite that, every month since has been absolutely lovely. Since starting Falmina, my libido has risen considerably, which is nice for both me and my partner. On top of that, the pills have fixed the issue that I originally took them for (except the bad period)."

For Birth Control "First, I have to say this birth control is very effective for what it is intended. My period is very regular; I always know the day it will come. After deciding with my then-boyfriend to have unprotected sex, it also never failed me. However, those are the only two good things I experienced. I was nauseous, anxious, and at times very depressed while on Falmina. Nausea was the worst symptom for me and heightened after drinking or not eating enough. At times, I'd be vomiting for hours straight. I can't be happier to be off this drug after what I've experienced."

For Birth Control "READ THIS PLEASE!! I was taking Falmina for only one month. On my last week of almost being done with the first pack, I started getting panic attacks, depression, and anxiety. I would cry for anything and started getting so much nausea, I couldn't even eat at all, only drink water!! It's the most horrible symptoms I have ever experienced with birth control. I couldn't even be around my kids. I read this site and stories and didn't think it would happen to me because I tried different birth control, and this never happened!!"

For Birth Control "I've literally had the worst experience with this pill. I had been taking another birth control that got replaced by my pharmacy with this pill, however, this one had a lot of side effects I had never experienced. I started experiencing major headaches, getting acne, becoming extremely depressed, having no sex drive at all, increased anxiety, and I was just overall moody and irritated at everything. I wish they would've never switched me to this generic version of the drug because this is way worse. I have never experienced such a terrible medicine. I do not recommend it."

For Birth Control "Prior to Falmina, I was taking Aubra for birth control, and I loved it. I never had irregular periods, mood swings, or weight gain. Since starting Falmina about 6 months ago, I’ve had extreme issues. My period comes days early nearly every month. I’ve had pregnancy scares because I will have breast pain to the point where they can’t even be touched, and I’ll be extremely bloated 1-2 weeks before my period. I’m very irritable and cry over nearly everything, something that usually never happened. Also, since beginning this brand, I’ve gained 10 pounds without changing any of my eating or exercise habits. Overall, I’ll be talking to my OB/GYN about switching brands, and I do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been taking 3 packets, then getting a period (on purpose, because of possible endo). I usually bleed a little for a week or two during the second pack and will definitely bleed on the third. My doctor told me it would be great to not have to buy so many pads, having fewer periods - hah! My biggest complaint aside from that is that the packet itself is confusing. The foil has distracting writing all over it. The part where the days are is WHITE on WHITE. I didn't think all this would bother me, I'd just keep going across taking the pills, but I've already messed up twice... If a company wants you to not get pregnant so you can keep taking their product, don't you think they'd improve the design?"

For Birth Control "I was started out on Falmina to regulate my period, but during the three months it hasn't done so very well. Meanwhile, the side effects are horrible. The nausea is seriously so terrible, I’m miserable, and I barely eat throughout the day because I’m so nauseous. Not only do I feel the urge to puke 24/7, I have the worst mood swings that I’ve never had with other birth control pills. Half of the time I’m either really angry or balling my eyes out and starting stupid fights. It’s awful, and while it does prevent pregnancy, I don't think the side effects are worth it."

For Birth Control "Beware of this birth control! I've been on them for the past 3 months. They are effective in preventing pregnancy, but the side effects were so not worth it. For the past 3 months, I had absolutely no energy and no motivation. I fell into depression and actually went to a psychiatrist and was prescribed anti-depression/anti-anxiety meds! I had no idea that the birth control was causing all of these issues until I did my research. I got off them immediately and already feel so much better. Not to mention, I gained 15 pounds (that was probably a combination of hormones and the fact that I didn't feel motivated to actually exercise). There are many other birth control options on the market that are so much better. Pass on this one!"

For Birth Control "I'm 19, and I started taking this pill because I was sick of passing out from painful cramps, and I had started having sex with my boyfriend like 8 months before, and I was always afraid I'd get pregnant. This pill is quite effective, my cramps have most certainly subsided, and I feel safe and comfortable having sex with my boyfriend. There is just one problem though: I have become very hysterical in situations where I should usually be more calm and collected. Lately, when I get into arguments with my boyfriend over very little/petty things that used to not bug me as much, I end up screaming and sobbing hysterically. Also, about a week ago, I stubbed my finger and reacted as though I had been stabbed. I screamed and cried for 30 minutes."

For Birth Control "I started taking this birth control to lessen my migraines and anxiety, and I’m 100% better. I haven’t had any pregnancy scares, thank gosh. I haven’t gained any weight. But my acne has gotten a little worse. I used to have pretty clear skin, now my skin feels more textured. Otherwise, I love everything about this pill!"
