"I would NOT recommend Aubra to anyone. The entire six months I was in it I constantly felt depressed and exhausted. Staying awake was a constant struggle. I also experienced crazy mood swings that caused major problems in my relationship. I also developed extremely bad acne which I never had before. Also, I never felt hungry and whenever I did eat I always felt so bloated and uncomfortable afterwards. On top of that, my periods actually got worse; heavier bleeding, really bad cramps, etc. I wish I would have talked to my doctor sooner about getting off this birth control and would strongly discourage anyone else from ever taking it."

"I took Aubra (the generic of Vienva, Sronyx,Larissia, Lutera etc) for about 6 months. I didn't want to continue after the first month but doctors urged me to see if things changed and wait a few months before stopping. I had (and now still have) TERRIBLE mood swings, bad cramping constantly (on and off periods), constant nausea, and like someone else mentioned weight gain - while eating healthy AND exercising (like.. 50 lbs in 3 months, literally). This Aubra contraceptive pill is rubbish. My doctors now don't even believe me, and won't consider my issues as due to this at all anymore because they just think I'm an overweight liar now and NONE have ever heard of this medication."

"So ive been prescribed Aubra due to some irresponsible decisions. I have been on it for nearly 3 weeks and I have been bleeding ever since I started it. I began taking it the first day of my period and my period normally only lasts 3 to 4 days. Aubra caused it to last 6 days. A few days later I began bleeding slightly and I had to use panty liners for a couple days then it got a bit heavier and now I have to use liners or pads. When I first started taking it, I had terrible mood swings and my period was terrible. I am hoping that it gets better and the bleeding stops. It is uncomfortable and I feel very unclean."

"I was on Aubra about 1.5 years. I was super regular every 28 days, however towards the end of this time I had a miscarriage & my periods stopped. I was VERY regular with the pill. I went off of it, at dr advise, because he said if I get pregnant on it then there is no point. It is now 7 months later and I do not have a period & my hormones are out of whack. I am looking at the very real possibliity that this ruined my chances of having kids in the future. I gave it more than 1 star because it never caused mood swings, no acne (actually cleared me up) and it was the easiest bc I've been on."

"This is the worst birth control I’ve ever tried. I had every side effect known to man. monthly yeast infections, violent headaches, also didn't get my period for months with this stuff, yet i still had VERY painful cramps. It gave me depression & made me antsy. i also would have episodes where i’d shake uncontrollably. I’m convinced someone evil handcrafted this stuff. Stay away."

"First birth control i was put on. The first couple of months were fine I was very emotional at times tho. Boobs grew for sure and acne has cleared up. The third month I started spotting for 2 weeks before I got my period and only had it for 3 days. I recently have noticed I've gained a lot of weight. Used to have great abs and now I have a muffin top and pudgy looking stomach, have been working out and doesn't seem to do much. Debating if I even like having these hormones in my body. I was fine before taking birth control, i went on it for acne and to regulate my periods but now I don't think it was really worth it, it's starting to make me feel like I'm starving like an hour after I eat a full meal."

"I have NEVER had a negative reaction to birth control pills. I've never gained weight, felt bloated, had acne, or ANYTHING until taking Aubra. Over the last 6 years, I've tried at least 7 different pills and this is by far the worst. Yes, it keeps me from getting pregnant and keeps me from having a period. However, since taking it, it seems like I have developed IBS. It is NOT agreeing with my body. I constantly have to go to the bathroom and get woken up at 2am with that burning stomach pain before I'm forced to rush to the toilet. I've gained a little weight, but my belly is so bloated like I'm 4 months prego. Lasty, my face has broken out. I've always loved BC pills, but this brand is terrible!! Hope you guys have better luck w/ Aubra."

"This Aubrais the worst pill I have taken so far. Extreme abdominal bloating and pain. Really bad nausea and it gave bad diarrhea. Weight gain by the second day. I was always in pain and in discomfort. My stomach and ovaries felt so tender...never taking this stupid pill again."

"This is the first OC I’ve ever taken and I must say, I loved it. I’m 5’9 and 135lbs and I have long menstrual cycles (every 29-32 days) and bleed for about 7-8 days. My periods have always been slightly irregular and I’ve always had a very heavy flow. The first month of taking Aubra I honestly didn’t notice anything... at all. Actually I was convinced it wasn’t working. Once my period came, it came at the exact time it was suppose to and ended at the exact time. My flow was significantly lighter and I had much less pain and bloating. THE ONLY BAD THING: I attempted to skip my period and go straight to the next pack. NOPE. I BLED FOR A WHOLE MONTH IT FELT LIKE. My period is light enough and manageable enough that I probably won’t be attempting to skip again, but I do and have recommended this to every lady I know that’s interested. I take Aubra as a birth control and it definitely did the job!"

"Wow I've been reading these negative comments but I've had a great experience with this pill!! I'm 19 I was on the shot before this it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. But on this one my only side effects were mild headaches and I'm definetly mode emotional. Also I sleep a lot more. I haven't gained weight. I don't have spotting. It did clear my acne. My boobs feel bigger. But I also think I haven't had the negative effects because I've been taking these vitamins from super supplements they have folic acid calcium and all the vitamins the lady at planned parenthood said I would need and when I stopped taking the vitamins for 2 weeks I felt real shitty!!"

"Aubra has been my very first birth control pill and from reading all these reviews before starting the pill I have to admit I was afraid of the side effects I would have. Surprisingly, I have been on the pill for two whole months and the only mild symptoms I could think of that I've had are two bad headaches and the bloating feeling closer to my placebo week. Other than that my skin doesn't break out and I haven't had any spotting in between!"

"I was prescribed Aubra through planned parenthood and I've been on it for about 2 months. I love it so far, I don't feel any symptoms and no weight gain. I was previously on the depo and I HATED it!! I gained about 25 lbs in less than a year. Birth control is different for everyone so I didn't know what to expect. I'm hoping this stays this way!"

"I am 18 years old and I have been taking Aubra for a little over 2 months. So far it has been working effectively since I have not gotten pregnant. The only problem I have with this birth control is it has made my acne worse! Everywhere else on my face is clear except for both sides of my cheeks they are such bad breakouts. I've noticed them to appear once I was on the pill for a while. I guess half a bottle of foundation to cover up my acne is better than having an unplanned pregnancy so I guess I will have to live with the complications it comes with."

"Okay, I would like to start off by saying that everybody's body is different and everyone reacts to things differently. Personally, I really like this birth control! I have always had an irregular period like I could literally go months without having a period and this fixed that and on top of that it has made me skin so much more clear than it already was and I'm not pregnant so that's all good! I didn't experience any weight gain, I did have some mood swings but that's basically it. so 10/10 would recommend."

"This is the worse birth control method to take especially if you have depression. I took this pill for 6 months and had nothing but breakthrough bleeding and even worse depression symptoms.. I most definitely wouldn't recommend"

"I’ve been on this pill for a month and a half and my skin is breaking out like never before, my mood is totally irrational, and I had 2 weeks of break through bleeding that finally stopped 2 weeks ago and now I’m getting a full on period (cramps, back pain, actual bleeding) in the middle of a pack. Do not take this pill. It’s garbage and not worth the side effects. There are better pills out there - I was on the pill for 12 years and was fine. I went off it for a few years and this was what planned parenthood gave me when I decided to go back on. Big mistake."

"I've been on this pill twice. I started it when I was 17, it took it for a year and I LOVED it. This was the first birth control I ever tried. It made my period significantly lighter. I had no PMS when I was on this pill, before I had horrible PMS. I also lost weight on this pill (about 20 pounds) I believe the pill made my appetite a lot smaller which is a good thing. At this time though, I was still a virgin. I got the Paragard IUD a year later because I was tired of taking a pill everyday. I had a horrible experience with Paragard so went back to this pill. It’s still great. I pretty much don’t have a period now except very light bleeding for a day or two.I have all natural sex with my boyfriend once or twice a week and I've yet to get pregnant."

"I got prescribed 6 months of Aubra EQ by planned parenthood after I had been off the pill for a year. Almost immediately this pill reduced my sex drive. I've always had a high libido especially when off birth control. Aubra made me so dry and unable to get "loose" during sex, I didn't really enjoy sex anymore (lube didn't even help), but not having sex can be the end of a relationship, so I powered through it and put up with the pain. I've always been quite thin but I felt like Aubra stopped my appetite to the point where eating feels like a hassle and it's only done out of necessity. I feel like it made me kind of depressed but nothing too extreme. I think I got used to being depressed it after 3 months and it was easier to manage. Overall I wouldn't want to take it again."

"I am not an emotional person ever, but this Aubra pill gave me extreme depression for months. It would be the worst the week before my period, but throughout the month I felt tired and sad almost every day."

"I was on lutera but I changed doctors and he only had aubra so I started taking that and horrible I bleed non stop and it gave me horrible cramps. Anytime my Boyfriend and I had intercourse it caused me to bleed even more like I had my period again. Worst birth control ever didn't agree with me so I went back to my doctor and told him to give me a prescription for lutera and I just got my lutera and started taking it. Already I feel better"

"Honestly it has been great! I get very light periods now that last two days with little to no cramping. No difference in mood swings and emotions. My skin cleared up. I was very skinny unable to gain weight and this allowed me to FINALLY get curves. Overall sooo happy I made the decision to take this."

"No weight Gain. Actually lost weigh because this pill made my appetite smaller and I get full faster. No acne just broke out little bumps along jaw line but no one can notice except me. I crazy mood swings or depression like I got on other birth control pills. Regular period, no pain. First day light cramps that's it. No spotting. Happy with this pill. Almost on my third pack."

"Disclaimer: Birth control effects vary from person to person since we are all slightly different. That being said, my experience has been very positive. I have had almost zero side effects since I started taking Aubra 2 months ago. The first week I started taking it, I had some nausea that would wake me up while sleeping (I take it at 5pm), but after my body adjusted, I haven't had any nausea since. My weight has stayed the same, my skin and body hair have stayed the same. I did spot a bit for a week during my first pack, and then my first period was super light with zero cramping and lasted 4 days. If this is the norm, then I'm a happy Aubra consumer!"
