Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "I am 56 years old and experienced a surgical induced menopause after having both ovaries removed 12 months ago. I started using Replens approx 3 weeks ago and it states to use twice weekly. My GP prescribed as I was experiencing what I can only describe as discomfort around the urethra (and just inside the vaginal opening). After using Replen 5 times it's not helped much, but I haven't experienced the brown discharge or any discharge for that matter, which worries me as if I'm putting it up there, where's it going? I'm writing this as three days ago I started with irritation in the vaginal opening which has got worse. Day 3 today, and only toilet paper with cold water soothes it. The area is sore, red, and a burning sensation. I've used Canesten thinking it might be that, but after reading these comments convinced it's Replens that's causing it. I am also on Vagifem twice weekly and HRT 1% daily. This prod is expensive too. Going to try natural SYLK now, as lots of women have recommended it."

CeraVe (emollients) for Dry Skin "I used CeraVe on my skin and it broke me out with hives my entire body itched like crazy I ended up taking 3 showers to feel better never will I use it again I also had red spots on my body horrible product!"

Eucerin (emollients) for Dry Skin "As a recent (1 yr) below knee amputee, the sweating I suffer between my residual limb and my gel liner is a constant struggle. Constant washing off my stump causes severe dry skin issues. Used eucerin after cleansing, this would cause a minor burning sensation leading to my stump becoming red and irritated, looking like a strawberry. Stopped using eucerin, applied "Sween 24" from Coloplast, redness subsided."

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "I am 53 and have vaginal dryness. I bought this...started it on a Friday...every day I started feeling worse. Sunday I had abdominal cramping, bloating and feeling like I had a UTI. It is now Tuesday and I am just starting to feel a little better...but now I am a little itchy. UGH! I never thought buying this would lead to all of this."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) for Dry Skin "Last night I used the Raspberry Lemonade Blistex as a chapstick and when I woke up the next morning, my lips felt very itchy. There were bumps on my lips and it was red. I had a rash like it last year, but I realized it wasn't the same thing. I took Claritin hoping to make it better because everyone says to use an antihistamine. I hope this helps!!!"

EpiCeram (emollients) for Dry Skin "I think some folks may be confused about what this is supposed to do and the days it takes to do it. It restores your skin's own barrier to help heal and prevent a "break" = eczema and atopic dermatitis. You put it on first, then your prescription a few minutes later, if you need one. You use it for at least 2-4 weeks to strengthen your own skin from the damaged outer layer so it stops and prevents an active break(out). Almost nothing worked on me, including "shielding lotions." From their instructions: Should EpiCeram® be prescribed along with corticosteroids or a topical immunomodulator, it is recommended to apply EpiCeram® just a few minutes before applying steroids or topical immunomodulator to allow proper penetration."

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "I do not understand so many negative reviews here. It's like you're trying to run them out of business. I chose Replens over Revaree simply due to price. Why the woman doctor inventor charges so much for Revaree is beyond me. The very first night after inserting the Replens gel, I found relief that only a woman who's been through vaginal atrophy would know. It no longer felt like my insides were about to drop out. I'm so very happy I finally did something about this and found relief from Replens. Women leaving negative reviews: Did you read everything about Replens and how it works? Then why are you all so incredibly surprised and concerned about the discharge?! THAT MEANS IT'S WORKING. The mass panic you've brought through ignorance is keeping many women from tremendous relief. Educate before eradicate."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) for Dry Skin "I bought a set of 3 fruit smoothies Blistex lip balms. At work I ran out of my Burt’s Bees and pulled these guys out. I have been using them at work for 3-4 days and couldn’t figure out why my lips hurt, were scaley, swollen, and really burning (where my lip meets the inside of my mouth) then figured out this is the only new thing I have done different. No outdoor time, no new foods, or new face lotions. And even only using them 6 hours a day (then other kinds at home) they have totally blown up my lips! I read these reviews and it confirmed my suspicions! Just don't use these! Yikes!"

EpiCeram (emollients) for Dry Skin "My face had bright red almost raw patches of skin with no itching. Tried Aloe, Aveeno & everything made it worse. EpiCeram was like a miracle product & the only thing that cleared it up. However, after using for a while & rebuilding skin barrier I end up with dry flaky skin patches that then need mild exfoliation. I don’t know if this is from excess buildup of skin barrier or not. It’s become a vicious cycle. I’ve become my own advocate. In conclusion EpiCeram clears up rawness but then causes very dry flaky patches. I don’t find it moisturizing but it does help with raw skin"

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "after using Replens I have had white clumps the next day as well as reddish some times brownish and this only happened the next day after use. Not too mention a couple of minutes after use I had burning. Once I had a yeast infection from it within a week and I've not had a yeast infection in 25 years . Yes it does moisturize and last and I love that but the side effects are not normal ."

Aveeno (emollients) for Dry Skin "I used Aveeno for Dry Skin Relief Body Wash four different times. Got big itchy welts on my arms but mostly on my thighs and legs. Itched so bad I couldn't stand it. Quit using it and the welts are finally going away. Don't know what ingredients are in it to cause this problem, but will not use it again."

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "I used this product Replens for the first a few hours before having sex and immediately notice a white rubbery yeast like substance. I knew it wasn’t a yeast infection because I had no other symptoms. It happened suddenly after using. I was able to extract some of the stuff to check for an odor. Thankfully no odor or any other symptoms. So I tried again to make sure it was the Replens, but this time I did a self check and found nothing in my vagina so I proceeded to use the product. Then a few minutes later, I inserted a figure a pulled out this rubbery substance again. I cleaned myself and through the remaining 12 doses in the trash! HUGE WASTE OF MY MONEY!!! Don’t purchase this product. Use coconut oil it works better."

Dermasil Lotion (emollients) for Dry Skin "I used this lotion on my hands and elbows for dry skin. Within minutes I broke out in hives all over my body. It was itching uncontrollably and my face, eyes, lips, and hands swell up like a balloon. I ended up in ER with an epinephrine shot. This product needs taken off selves. Hypoallergenic???? False advertising. Want to rate 0/10."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) for Dry Skin "Within minutes of using the strawberry coconut blistex lip balm, my lips were itching and starting to swell. Hours later, they are puffed up and burning. Really painful. With so many negative reviews, this product should be pulled from shelves."

Aquaphor (emollients) for Dry Skin "My late husband’s back was badly broken out from radiation and chemo which were focused on his neck. We applied aquaphor and by the next day it was already showing signs of clearing up. The itching stopped as soon as I had applied it! I continued to apply it whenever his back was itchy. I now use it in the winter to moisturize my arms and legs. I love this stuff!"

Eucerin (emollients) for Dry Skin "I bought Eurecin because some Dr said it is good for dry skin and eczema. I noticed that I've been having itch all over my body with some rash/little bumps, for weeks. I couldn't even sleep. It was so bad! I thought, I had bed bugs in my bed or I ate something that triggered some unknown allergies. But, nope! After observing for days of using the product vs another cream/lotion, I figured out that Eurecin was the culprit. So sad and mad about it, at the same time."

EpiCeram (emollients) for Dry Skin "I have moderate eczema around my eyelids, and though cortisone based creams do have a beneficial effect in bringing down the inflammation, irritation, scaling, dryness and itching, I was concerned that long term use would cause my skin to thin, and also that I might get glaucoma or cataracts. I decided to try Epiceram after reading that Stanford medical researchers now believe that eczema is not an autoimmune disorder, but is caused by a breakdown of the skin's natural barrier due to dryness. The theory is that if you can re-moisturize the skin, outside insults from the environment will not trigger an attack. After using it for 5 days, Epiceram worked amazingly well, but to avoid stinging in my eyes, I shut my eyes after applying to let it dry."

CeraVe (emollients) for Dry Skin "I decided to invest in more expensive skin care products. I don’t have problem skin but I’m turning 40 next year and wanted to level up my skin care regimen. I bought cerave hydrating cleanser and then after 2 weeks I broke out in a rash all over my face. After 2 weeks I’m still suffering and will be seeing a doctor tomorrow. I have zero issues with my skin. I just wanted to maintain my nice skin. I can’t believe I used this product that ruined my skin. I’m itchy all over my face!!"

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "According to the instructions, "a few days after first using Replens you may notice an off white residue (which may be dry and bitty). This is natural and is the result of Replens cleansing the vaginal passage. The vagina is normally self-cleansing, but when you have been dry for some time, discarded cells tend to accumulate. Replens simply clings to these cells and flushes them away." My experience did differ a bit from this description. I am not menopausal and as far as I know I have a normal amount of discharge, so I believed my vagina was self-cleansing just fine. I have mild PCOS without diabetes, and I am using Nuvaring, which I did not remove when I used Replens right before bed a few days ago. The next morning, I had this huge amount of white stuff, and worried I may have developed a yeast infection. The next 2 days I had a few more small chunks, and a LOT of clear watery fluid. I will use once a week and see if it gets "less and less" as it says in the instructions."

Cetaphil Cleanser (emollients) for Dry Skin "I bought this thinking it would be mild. I have used another variation of it in the past without issues. I think I have used this for about a week and noticed my top eyelids are red, and now dry patches and itchy and swollen. I am assuming it has to be the cleanser. I hope it goes away without having to go to the dr. My eyelids actually hurt. Never again will I use this product."

Blistex Lip Balm (emollients) for Dry Skin "Used orange mango spf15 Blistex and it made my lips red, swollen, itchy and burning sensation. Felt like I had Botox or something, lips were big than normal. And all I wanted was to prevent dry chapped lips, instead I got Botox looking lips. Going on day 3 and they’re still the same!! Horrible product!! I didn’t expect this outcome! DO NOT BUT!! Shame on Blistex for not fully researching the effects of this product!!"

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "Absolutely shocking!! I am swollen and on fire inside and outside, labia is swollen. This is second time I’ve used first time same thing, thought I had inserted it incorrectly, but no same thing second time, can hardly keep my legs together!! This product needs to be taken off the shelves, not even going to go there with the white clumps it’s painful and shocking!!!!!"

Replens (emollients) for Vaginal Dryness "I was looking for relief for my vaginal dryness. It definitely helps with the dryness. However, the big white chunky stuff (no smell, no itch) is a humongous turn off. Especially during intercourse. Product has been discarded. The search continues."

Cetaphil Cleanser (emollients) for Dry Skin "I always had hormonal pimples, but my skin wasn't dry or oily. Since using Cetaphil, my forehead is extremely oily and broken out in small pimples. My face BURNS when I use the cleanser, but I have never had sensitive skin so I am unsure what is happening."
