For Migraine "I suffered for years with migraines, I have lost entire weekends and days from these headaches. Relpax is a lifesaver. I had times I thought I wanted to die during these headaches. No more, don't have to suffer anymore. Get the script. It works. Does make you pee a lot."

For Migraine "Relpax 40 mg is my go-to medication when I have a bad migraine. I have tried almost all triptans, and this works best for me. If taken ASAP, it typically zaps my migraine within 60-90 mins. Relpax makes me feel spacey, 'floaty,' and tired, so I usually take it and then lay down for a nap. The side effects disappear within an hour or two. This seems to be stronger than Imitrex (sumatriptan) or Maxalt (rizatriptan). Not sure if it is actually stronger or just works better for me. It is quite expensive, even with insurance."

For Migraine "At times I get a migraine every day, particularly after I have been away from home, e.g., a week or more, then usually I get a daily migraine for around two weeks. Imigran works well once I know a migraine is on the way. None of the preventers I have tried have helped. Recently, I tried taking Relpax at night as a preventer, and so far it has worked. This has been a short-term experience, and I don't plan to continue daily use before I check with my GP."

For Migraine "I've been taking Relpax since 2009. It has always taken away the migraine headache within about an hour of taking 40 mg. For that, I'm grateful. What I've noticed is that when I take it makes a big difference. If I take it at the first sign of a migraine, I always get a rebound headache the next day. I find that if I wait 12 hours, then take Relpax, the migraine goes away and doesn't rebound. If it ever does rebound, I have to just tough it out. I need to rest a lot after taking it or I'll get a rebound. And I have to take it with food. The one time I didn't, it gave me horrible nausea."

For Migraine "Relpax is effective for taking away my migraine pain most of the time. I find I have to take 2 occasionally. The worst part is the side effect. It makes my joints ache (seems like all of them) for several hours after the migraine is gone. But at least it takes away the migraine. I guess the joint pain is the lesser of the two evils, and I am able to function."

For Migraine "I started Relpax in a trial for the medication. I was first diagnosed with migraines, my doctor tried me on this medication as a trial. I had never been on a migraine medication before and found this medication helpful. Getting relief from the awful, life-consuming headaches was such a great blessing. I found that I could function with migraines. I had been just surviving them. Thank you, Relpax, for giving me my life back. Thank you for the 10 card."

For Migraine "Relpax is a great migraine medicine. I have tried ibuprofen 800 mg, Elavil, Maxalt, Imitrex, Midrin, and countless others. Relpax stops the migraine quickly, but it is ridiculously expensive, even with my copay, it is $119.00 for 12. I still have a couple left from samples, but I can't wait for a generic brand!"

For Migraine "I love Relpax. When Excedrin Migraine doesn't work, I take 1 20 mg Relpax, and my migraine is gone in an hour without side effects. So glad Relpax offers a $10.00 co-pay on their site, otherwise, my insurance would charge me $60.00 for 9 pills."

For Migraine "I've had migraines (several types and causes) for about 22 years. I've tried about every other triptan and preventive medication that's out there. Relpax works the best, by far. I have little side effects, other than it makes me a little tired. But I'd rather have that than a debilitating migraine for days. It works in about 30 minutes, and you can totally function well on it. The only reason I give it a 9 is because it's expensive. With insurance, I pay $30 for 6 pills. And half the time insurance won't cover it, which makes it about $220 for 6 to 8 pills. But if you can afford it, it's definitely worth the money to live a normal life again!"

For Migraine "Of all the migraine medicines I have taken, Relpax has worked the best for me. The side effects are less for me than Imitrex was. Maxalt made me sleepy and didn't always work. Imitrex didn't always work either. The only reason Relpax gets a 9 instead of 10 is because it is so expensive."

For Migraine "Relpax is an amazing medication that completely ceases my migraine pain, nausea, and light sensitivity within an hour. I have luckily no side effects or groggy feelings. I read that it hasn't worked for some, my doctor told me if your headaches are cluster or other, then this medication will have no effect and your headache will remain. :-("

For Migraine "Relpax works well most of the time, but occasionally it doesn't get rid of all the pain of a migraine. It takes about 40 minutes to stop the aura and flashing lights and begins to attack the migraine pain. Overall, it's okay. Why is it so expensive, though?"

For Migraine "I have really severe migraines about 4-5 times per week. My doctor suggested Relpax! I tried it, and it took my migraine away within 20 minutes. The best medication I have tried by far. I take 20 mg pills. I decided to use that dosage because I can get more pills for my money. I would say the downsides to Relpax are the blurred vision and upset stomach. I generally try to drink a lot of fluids and eat a small snack when I take it. This seems to help settle the upset stomach quicker. This medication is extremely expensive."

For Migraine "Relpax is the only migraine med that works for me. It relieves my migraines in about a half hour. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it. Side effects: tiredness, mild nausea, frequent urination, runny nose, head fogginess."

For Migraine "This is a great medicine for migraines. Relpax works better for me than any other triptan medication, although Maxalt seems to work also. But Relpax works even faster than Maxalt. Unfortunately, like all triptans, it is exceedingly expensive, forcing me to seek a different type of medication. I'll be very happy if (when) Relpax becomes available in a generic."

For Migraine "Relpax has more side effects, for me, than other migraine medications, including vomiting and the heaviness in my chest. Originally, I was prescribed Relpax 20 but needed to go up to the Relpax 40. The pain was mostly relieved, but the substantially increased nausea made me change to a medicine in the same drug family but resulted in less nausea than Relpax. (The heaviness in the chest isn't all that uncomfortable... it's a trade-off that is well worth it)."

For Migraine "Relpax has helped me control my migraines that, in all but one case, I had to take a second one. At this point, I have not had any side effects that I know of. To me, it seems to control the migraine where it does not go on for days by stopping at the onset."

For Migraine "Didn't work well on the migraine and made me feel like I was roofied. Both times I tried it for migraines I slept for 12+ hours and felt out of it for many more hours. I know it works well for some folks, just not for me apparently."

For Migraine "I've taken Relpax for at least 10 years and it has been a lifesaver for me.. Without it I would not have been able to function in a professional job. My health insurance only allows me to have 6 pills a month, so at times I have to cut the pill in half to try and make a 1/2 dose work. If I take this pill and go back to bed for a couple of hours it will take the migraine away - it does make me fill a little sick and lightheaded after I take it, so I'm careful about that."

For Migraine "I have been getting excruciating migraine headaches since about age ten. I've been on such a long list of medicines that I can't even begin it. I ended up popping Motrin 800 mg tablets like they were Tic Tacs and holding on for three days. Relpax has changed my life, but the price is killing me."

For Migraine "Relief 20mg. Sometimes the relief is 98%, which is great. In other instances, it works 70%. The discomfort is better than the migraine, although I'm afraid to tell my Dr. because I'm scared he will take it away, and this is the best thing I've had in a long, long time. Discomfort: tightness on the back of my neck and shoulders, soreness inside my throat, mouth, face, and around my neck, as well as my legs and arms. Creating anxiety."

For Migraine "I recently started experiencing severe migraines following a whopping concussion. They completely take me out with crazy pain, pressure, dizziness, and confusion. They often last around 12 hours and are accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Today my neurologist prescribed me Relpax. It was perfect timing as I felt a migraine coming on this evening. At first, I didn't think it was working, but right at about 45 minutes, I began to feel relief. After two hours, I feel so much better! I feel a little bit drowsy, but completely worth it! I am so grateful for Relpax! It works!"

For Migraine "I have suffered with migraines my entire life, both with and without auras. Migraines leave me having to close myself off from the world and try desperately to find a semi-comfortable spot so that I can lay down long enough to hopefully fall asleep through part of my usual 12-18 hour migraine. Since being prescribed Relpax, I am finally free! Once I feel a migraine coming on, I take one 40 mg Relpax pill and, within 10 minutes, can actually feel it working and the pain subsiding. Within a half hour, the pain is completely gone! Only once or twice did I need to take more than 1 pill, but that was because I waited too long to take it, and it works better the sooner it's taken. It's improved my life!"

For Migraine "Relpax has changed my life. I used to suffer for 3 days with such painful migraines. I couldn't even leave the bedroom. Any light or sound would cause me to vomit. If I start to get a migraine, I take 1 Relpax, and I am relieved. The side effects are minimal, maybe a little light-headed, just like after a glass of wine! I am a nurse, and I recommend this medication to anyone who has suffered from migraines."

For Migraine "I've suffered from migraines for about 10 years. Relpax has been the best prescription thus far to relieve my migraines. It usually kicks in within an hour of taking it; my nausea and headache go away within that hour. My insurance only covers 6 in a month, although my doctor told me that they're supposed to cover 8. I used to pay $50 for 6 pills; now I pay $10 with the copay card I found on their website (thanks to my pharmacist). Unfortunately, I get migraines a few times a month, so I use all 6 pills a month. Common side effects I get are sleepiness (when I take a Relpax, it knocks me out like Nyquil) and frequent urination (don't know how common that is). Overall, I'd highly recommend Relpax."
