Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I have been on this pill for a couple of months now. It's great with acne and no weight gain or anything but I will say it's absolutely horrible with moods. I've had the worst mood swings. I'm depressed and I literally cry over ANYthing and when I start, I cant stop!"

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I have been taking BeYaz for a year now to prevent pregnancy. Because I have been taking it consistently at a scheduled time it has worked wonders! I would recommend this pill to anyone that is sexually active. Only side effects I have noticed are blood clots and emotional sensitivity. 10/10 highly recommend."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I started taking Beyaz in 2016 and was on it for four years. I never had any serious side effects, just headache, some slight stomach pain and mood swings. I am now back on it after being off for a year and I’ve had much worse mood swings. I’m hoping they will subside in the coming weeks and am willing to stick to it because I have PCOS and my periods suck. It does wonders for my acne and I have very regular easy periods on it. It’s nice knowing when I’m going to start and I only bleed for about 3-4 days. I do notice I have a much lower sex drive when I’m on it though. All in all this birth control is good and the good out ways the bad."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I was prescribed this medicine to help with my erratic periods. It was great, at first. About eight months into it, I became anemic from heavy bleeding and had nine day periods instead of four. I've also experienced spotting eight months into taking it."

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I had been taking Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for 2 years until it started giving me bad cramping and breakthrough bleeding on the active pills. I think my body was starting to reject it or the dosage just wasn't high enough anymore. Then my doctor suggested to try Safyral and gave me 2 free samples. I just finished my first month and it wasn't too bad. The worst side effect I had was nausea. My breasts felt fuller, but they went back to their normal size after my period. My period was lighter and the cramping wasn't that bad. I didn't gain any weight or feel bloated. I will have to see how this next month is...I plan on staying on this pill!"

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I've been taking Beyaz for about a week now, and it has been great. The only side effect I've really had a problem with are intense cravings. None of the other side effects (clearer skin, increased libido) have been a problem to me in the slightest. I would say that starting to take Beyaz was a wonderful choice."

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "Have almost been on Safyral for a year and I love it. I used to have really heavy periods, but I know exactly when I am going to start (usually a Tuesday night to Wednesday morning) and I know I'll stop on Sunday. It's lighter. I have noticed that sometimes my bad cramps I used to have are starting to return. It has definitely kept the babies away which is the reason I went on the birth control and will continue to keep using it."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I have been on Beyaz for about 3 weeks after switching from yaz due to cost. Now and I feel more bloated, depressed, and have experienced weight gain. I have also had headaches. I haven't had a real period in several months since Yaz would just make me have cramping, not actually bleeding. I even have taken tests to ensure I wasn't pregnant because I wasn't bleeding. I'm not sure if the same thing works for Beyaz or not. I just hope my body adapts to this and I start to lose weight again and get energy back."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I've been using this birth control for 7 years. I love it! At first I definitely saw a change with myself. Positive and negative. My period became shorter and my skin cleared up so quick! I have not had a pimple on my skin since starting this. The only negative I can think of is a little bit of weight gain and an emotional side effect. I definitely felt a little more sensitive and anxious after taking it but nothing crazy enough to go off the pill. Definitely recommend for people who are you struggling with acne or bad breakouts."

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I was concerned about starting Safyral after reading some of the reviews here, but have been pleasantly surprised by how easy my transition onto it has been. I was not on any contraceptive previously, and when I started my Safyral regimen my ONLY side effect was very light spotting for the first month. Not only did I escape mood swings, weight gain, acne, nausea, etc., but my usual menstrual symptoms (bloating, cramps, breakouts) have become almost nonexistent. I am not yet sexually active so I can't speak to Safyral's effectiveness as a contraceptive, but I've been very happy with it in the meantime."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I've been on Beyaz for 1 month. It's the first kind I've tried and it's worked pretty good for me so far. The only problem is that I have moments where I get extremely moody. My hunger has increased and I get headaches more often than usual. Also towards the end of the pack I started spotting a lot. Other than that I'm happy with it. The side effects aren't too bad so I can't complain. They will probably go away since I've only been on it for a month and my body's still getting used to it."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "On day 7 of Beyaz. I'm 22, and I was previously taking Femcon. I discontinued because of severe anxiety that could or could not have been related to the birth control (it's hard to tell sometimes if the symptoms are the pill, or just you). I took a year break off of birth control before starting Beyaz. So far, I have mixed feelings. I have been feeling panicky, and moody, but again, I'm not sure if that is a product of the birth control, or my GAD. I also went back on birth control for my skin, because I have bothersome acne. I have been developing pretty severe headaches, and I have also been feeling nauseous. My doctor said these symptoms will go away with time, so for now I am going to stick it out and see."

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "Safyral has been a great birth control pill for me. I lost water weight from my previous birth control plus some, skin is clear, no unusual mood swings. My only complaints about it is from 2 days before my period until 3 days into it is I get a bit of stomach bloat and my left ankle tends to get sore and swollen when on my feet too long. Sometimes I crave sweets at certain times of the month. The pill is more expensive, but a great birth control pill. I highly recommend it."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I started this birth control when I was 18. It was then called yaz and changed to beyaz. I love it, it shortens my periods to 2 to 3 days and that was back then. I have had 2 kids and after nursing and using a different pill during that time I got back on beyaz... Now it has actually stopped my periods after a couple months of use. I highly recommend trying this pill I have had zero issues with it all positive from this gal! ( I am now 28) so I've used this for a looong time"

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I love this birth control. No weight gain, acne cleared up, shorter/lighter periods. Only problem is I can't tolerate wearing my contact lenses for very long (no more than 4hrs). Best thing about it, no babies!"

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "My daughter, after using Beyaz for 6 months, developed bruises, swollen lumps, joint pain, and finally she needed to use crutches to walk. We saw many doctors, but none knew what to do. So on our own, we decided she should go off off Beyaz, and the symptoms slowly disappeared. 9 months later, they are gone, thankfully, but it was a nightmare!"

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I have been on Beyaz for 6 months and as a birth control, it works as should. When I first started I had no symptoms. But I gained around 10-15 pounds which, for my size isn't a bad thing, but the fact I don't fit in my pants comfortably now stinks. For my cramps, it didn't do a single thing. I still get cramps that make me want to curl in a ball all day. While my period is finally regular, it seems a little heavier. I was told it would help my cramps and period, but I guess my body doesn't like that. "

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I've never taken birth control before. I'm 24 and I got on it to try to stop sudden breakouts, I've been on Beyaz for only 6 days.. I can see my oily skin becoming noticeably less oily and shine free throughout the day, which I'm hoping will clear my face completely in the long run. As of now, my skin feels softer, less oily and seems to be clearing up. On the down side, I feel very, very tired. I'm on my last week of school taking finals and I regret not having waited until after finals because all I want to do is sleep. I do feel a little more irritable than usual but it's manageable."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "Overall this was a good pill for me. The only reason I stopped taking it was because i wanted to switch to a form of birth control that i didnt have to take everyday. At first for maybe the first two weeks I felt more depressed but after that I felt the same as usual. I did spot through pretty much the whole second month BUT that has happened with every birth control I have been on, so I think it is just my body. There was also a mild increase in acne toward the end of the first pack but it went away and my skin became very clear. This pill was also helpful for excess hair growth that i have in certain areas. It was a helpful pill for my pms symptoms and to regulate my periods."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "So I will say that Beyaz has served its course. I've been on it for a little over a year and can only offer 2 pros. Pros: it stopped my period, it prevented pregnancy. Cons: the mood swings are terrible, I am always irritated, every little thing bothers me, I am so rude to my husband. Not to mention, I cry at the drop of a dime. Before Beyaz, I could count on one hand the number of times I had cried in the last 5 years. Also, the weight gain. My doctor put me on Beyaz because it was supposed to help me lose weight. Instead, I have gained everywhere & although I constantly work out, I can't lose the weight. I have never had acne, so I can't really speak on that, but I will say that I have had quite a few breakouts while being on Beyaz."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I've been on Beyaz for 6 days now and I feel slightly different. Started on the first day of my period. I don't know if it's me but I've been feeling nauseous on day 5 and a tiny headache here and there. Hope this is just a beginning process lets see how it goes, I'm not liking how I feel. Just blah."

Beyaz (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I switched to Beyaz about 4 years ago, after being on OrthoNovum. The first 3 months was tough. I recall having irritability, fatigue, discolored complexion, breakthrough bleeding during sex, etc. After that transition I felt fine. About 2 years ago my period began being lighter and lighter and evenutally went away. I asked my GYN if it was ok and she assured me that Beyaz may eliminate my period. At first I was displeased because I wanted a period to prove that I wasn't pregnant each month. But when my gyno told me she can put me on something else to force a period, I told her no! Now with the new year, I discovered that my new RX plan doesnt cover ANY of the BEYAZ/RAJANI/SAFYRAL contraceptives. I'm DOOMED!! :-("

Safyral (drospirenone / ethinyl estradiol / levomefolate calcium) "I have been on this birth control for about a month and a half now. This my first time on birth control so I did not understand all the changes that were going on. BUT I started craving so many things and also nausea will come! Also many mood swings, specially when my period is near all I want to do is cry, and acne was HORRIBLE. I did not gain weight or anything like that though."
