For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I am 9 weeks pregnant and have had horrible nausea and sometimes vomiting. Zofran helped, but is linked to heart defects in the babies, so I was put on Phenergan, which helped but still didn't stop the nausea, which is when my OB put me on Bonjesta. Turns out, I had no idea what nausea, dizziness, and gut-wrenching vomiting were until I started taking this medication! It made my symptoms so much worse. I've heard good things about it but want to let people know it does not work for everyone! I have settled on Phenergan, it keeps my nausea at a reasonable level, and I rarely vomit. Please stop taking Bonjesta if you're getting dizzy and sick to your stomach!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Bonjesta helped immediately. After dealing with nausea and vomiting starting at week 5, I realized it would have been impossible to get myself out of bed and into work. I wasn’t able to keep water down. Was dehydrated. Weak. My doctor prescribed this immediately, and it got rid of probably 90% of the nausea and vomiting."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "At first, I hated how drowsy this medication made me. The first dose, which I took at 9 p.m., knocked me out until around 3 p.m. the next day. But slowly, my downtime started to decrease more and more. Last night, I took it and went straight to bed around 10, and I woke up around 9:45. So that's improvement. I think it's worth it to keep taking it and seeing if your body gets used to the drowsiness because honestly, for me, it really helps with the nausea. Some days it's just barely there, others, it is almost non-existent. It totally makes morning sickness more bearable for me."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Came into severe morning sickness at 6th week of my 1st pregnancy. Lost my appetite; nauseous all day, every day. Nights were the worst because I would wake up every 20 minutes, feeling like I needed to vomit. I lost weight. I tried homeopathic remedies. Nothing worked. I was so worried that I would have to live like this for my whole pregnancy. My doctor prescribed Bonjesta. Within 20 minutes of taking the first pill, I felt drowsy, but my nausea already started subsiding. I will take drowsiness over nausea any day. I have to work hard to stay focused, but still, I am able to work and function and eat. I highly recommend Bonjesta. I still experience mild nausea from time to time, but nothing like before. I take 1 pill when I wake up in the AM, plus 1 pill at approximately 6:30 PM."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I suffered from very bad hyperemesis gravidarum (morning sickness) in my first pregnancy and had success in relieving symptoms with Diclegis. During my second pregnancy, I ended up having morning sickness again and was desperate for relief. My doctor prescribed me Bonjesta, which at first appeared to relieve symptoms, but within two days I was just as sick as before. I ended up having to eliminate so many foods that, by the time I was done, I was only able to eat spinach and potatoes that were steamed. I decided to drop the Bonjesta and see what happened, and within two days I had zero symptoms and was able to eat whatever I wanted. Imagine that, the anti-nausea drug was causing my issues all along. This medication did not work for me at all. I’m glad that my insurance covered the medication because I would have been pretty sour about having to pay the exorbitant cost."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "Well, I came to the comments hoping it wasn’t just me, haha! I started Bonjesta at 13 weeks, and honestly, I passed out the first night (can’t have nausea if you’re knocked out), so now I’m on day 4. It doesn’t put me out, but it’s like it amped it up. I’ve thrown up 3-4 times a day, and as soon as I put food on my tongue, I get gaggy and chills and end up not eating. I’ve been living on crackers and chips, then I throw those up. I tried a smoothie yesterday and ended up puking it all back up. Please tell me it’s almost over, lol."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "10/10 I've had terrible nausea and vomiting since week 6, currently in week 11. Two nights ago, I forgot my pill ONE night, and the next AM, projectile vomiting. What does this tell me? This WORKS, and I will make sure I don't miss another dose as I feel great when I do take it."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I was experiencing pregnancy nausea without vomiting from week 6 to current (week 8). I wasn’t able to eat, really only able to rest in bed for the most part. I tried Bonjesta, and it’s helped a great deal. I still experience slight nausea, but it’s bearable, and every so often I will actually feel hungry and am able to eat like normal. I have tried Zofran as well, which does help with nausea but backs you up badly, so be careful."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I guess some of us are lucky to have this pill work for morning sickness, I am not one of them. Started at my 4th week, I am now 11 weeks. The pill made me worse!!! Felt like a tranquilizer and knocked me out!!! Not good when you have a 6-year-old. By my 4th day, I was still nauseated and throwing up. Yes, I would see the somewhat dissolved pill in my throw up. Gross, I know. My doctor is not going to put me on an IV pump because I am not losing too much weight, not good!!! Wish you ladies the best and hope this helps."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I take one Bonjesta pill at night before bed. This medication is the only medicine that has helped with my extreme morning sickness. When I take the pill at night, I feel less nauseated in the morning. I can eat more, and I am not vomiting as much. I feel more like myself. I went from being sick 100% of the day to 20% or less some days. Definitely worked for me."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This medication did not work for me at all. I never got relief from nausea and actually threw up twice while on it. I stopped taking it, and the next morning I actually woke up feeling okay. Started a new medication (Zofran), so we'll see if it works. The Bonjesta made me sleepy, especially when taking one at night and one in the AM, but it never helped the nausea!"

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "This is my 2nd pregnancy, and the nausea and vomiting from the thought of food or taking prenatal pills was taking a toll on my mental. My doctor prescribed me Bonjesta. I took it a few nights, and the next day I had no morning sickness. It's working about 80% of the time, which is good. Just a huge caution: if you decide to take this during the day, make sure you have absolutely NOTHING to do. I made a mistake taking this at 2 PM in the afternoon, couldn't get up until about 8 PM. This pill put me on my butt! I fought the drowsiness as long as I could, but it won. It's now 11:45 PM, and I'm still tired. I will stick to taking this before bed."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I wish I knew about this during my first pregnancy. It helps me go from throwing up 2-3 times a day and miserable to feeling very little nausea most days. I take 1 pill around 5:30 pm (after I’m done driving for the day) and I usually sleep around 8:30 to 6:30."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I took Bonjesta around the clock with Zofran, not at the same time but as often as I could. Once the Diclegis began to become effective, it literally saved my life and allowed daily normalcy versus the misery of which makes you sad. You want to enjoy your pregnancy and all that comes with it, and being nauseated all day can certainly put a damper on that experience. I was so happy this was available, and I would ONLY accept the brand name, and I found this to be the most expensive yet! Best money spent that I could remember... I did try Zofran alone as you already don't like to take anything while being pregnant, Zofran didn’t work alone for me. But these two around the clock gave me what I needed for six months that I was nauseous."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "The nausea was absolutely unmanageable before Bonjesta. I was throwing up almost every day, and it was hard to eat anything. The drowsiness is real. The first few days, I had a hard time waking up before 10:00 a.m., and was sleepy again by 6:00 p.m. But, as many have said, I'll take the drowsiness over the nausea. At least I'm able to eat (still small meals, a little at a time, nothing with a ton of flavor) and stay hydrated. Also, my OBGYN gave me a coupon that brought the price down to $40. Otherwise, with insurance, it was $200 (no insurance closer to $800). So definitely ask for a coupon."

For Nausea/Vomiting of Pregnancy "I started having extreme nausea and vomiting at around 6 weeks pregnant. There was a point where just thinking about food would make me nauseous. Obviously, I had to force myself to eat because of the pregnancy, but I knew it wasn't going to last, I just threw it back up. I would vomit 2 times a day and feel nauseous the whole day. My OB told me about Bonjesta, I would take anything at this point. Turns out my insurance didn't cover it, it would be $700+ out of pocket. I literally started crying because I was so tired of feeling the way I was feeling. But luckily, I got a prior approval, and immediately after taking it, I was able to keep my dinner down for the first time. I am on day 3 and currently have not thrown up or experienced nausea like I had been. It does make you really tired, but I'd rather feel tired and fight through it than be nauseous all day and have the horrible feeling of hunger but not eat from fear of throwing up."
