Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been taking Tenuate for about 3 weeks now, and I have lost 10 lbs so far. That was without watching my diet too much and little to no exercise. I asked the doctor to put me on something to help because I might have to have back surgery. I can't do a lot of cardio aside from walking. He put me on this, and I've been feeling so much better. I sleep great, no side effects aside from dry mouth, and I do get dizzy quite a bit. Definitely makes me not want to eat. In fact, if I go to eat something an hour or so after taking it, I feel like I'll get sick if I keep eating. I know it triggers nerves in your brain, so everyone's reaction will be a little bit different. I don't feel like I'm over-energized or 'spacey'. 20 lbs to go!"

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I'm very pleased with Tenuate. It has changed my body completely. I have more energy, and my body has stopped aching. I had back pain and knee pain almost every day. Since I started in February of this year, I weighed 206 and am size 16. Now I am 164 and a size 10. I'm very happy yet fearful of what it's going to be like when I stop taking it or will this be a lifelong struggle to keep the weight off."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been taking this medicine for 2 1/5 months and have lost 3 inches and 17 lbs, and I feel a whole lot better and have more energy. Also, walking twice a day at 6 am and 6:30 pm for 2 miles each session. I have cut my food portions in half, and I want to be losing more, but I am happy to be making the progress I am making. I had to increase my fiber because the medicine made me constipated. I do drink 10-12 glasses of water daily, and that does help some. I would love to read other posts on their progress that are recent this year. I will keep you updated."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been taking the 75 mg time-released Tenuate for 12 days now, and I've already lost 6 lbs. I take it in the morning; after it kicks in, I feel a little shaky and nauseated for about an hour (but it's not disabling); after that, I'm fine for the day. I have to be careful because if I'm really busy, I'll forget to eat. I was concerned that it would keep me awake, but it seems to wear off in the evening. I think drinking plenty of water is probably pretty important with this medicine."

"I've taken these for approximately 18 months, and I have lost 10 stone 11 lbs (as of this morning). I love them. I don't get any side effects really aside from occasionally being unable to sleep for longer than 5/6 hours. I'm more focused, procrastination isn't even in my vocabulary, and I am feeling amazing - only 3 more stone to go, and I am there - ALL THANKS TO Diethylpropion."

"After 3 beautiful children, I found myself struggling to lose weight. I never gained more weight, but I just couldn't lose it. I was 215 pounds for 5 years after the birth of my last child. I have always been muscular, so it wasn't sloppy weight, but I wanted my pre-childbearing body back. I am only 5'3" tall, and I didn't like that, according to BMI charts, I am considered obese. The first day taking this, I was 217 pounds, today, I am 186. I have gone from a size 14 to a 10. My only struggle so far has been maintaining muscle mass. Make sure you adopt healthy eating and drinking habits (lots of hidden calories in juices, soda, etc.), and get up and burn calories. Use it as a stepping stone, not a crutch. Good luck!"

"I previously was taking phentermine 37.5mg with absolutely no side effects. Nothing, as if I wasn’t taking anything at all. I will say in the beginning I had dry mouth but eventually that went away. 2 months later my doctor switched me to diethylpropion ER and again nothing. I’m sticking to my 1000 calories diet low to no carb , walking and or working out daily and gallon of water a day. First week 12 pounds and now 2 pounds and hungry all the time. What am I doing wrong."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been using Tenuate 25 mg once a day. I am on day 6, and I have lost 9 lbs. The only thing that I have noticed is that I sweat a lot. I have no other complaints. No jitters, headache, etc. I have tried Adipex in the past and had nasty side effects. This medication is awesome for anyone who has a low tolerance for medicines. I'll keep you posted."

"I've just started taking the pills for only four days, and I'm down 7.2 lbs! I am a heavy binge eater, but I haven't done so since I've been taking the pills. Love them... so far no side effects... no heart racing or anything. I was prescribed 75 mg and told to take two a day. I've only been taking one a day! Will up the dosage after day seven. I'll be back with an update! Also, I have to remind myself to eat... force myself really. It's definitely an appetite suppressant."

"I was on Phentermine and lost 60 lbs down into my comfortable range but then started gradually going up, plateauing 30 lbs up at 165. Doc put me on Tenuate for a month and I immediately gained 6 pounds while remaining on the same low carb diet. I was actually more hungry than normal."

"Nov 2020 I was 222 lbs. Began Phentermine, but I needed sleeping pills to get any rest. Dr. changed me to diethylpropion, and slept better, less jitters. I went off the pills last week, at 200.7 lbs. I stopped because I want to lose more weight and doctors and patients agree that the effectiveness diminishes after a few months. I also read reviews by patients who said intermittent use, extends the effectiveness of both phentermine and diethylpropion. I stopped last week. One week later, I gained back 2.3 lbs. BUT, when I resumed my regular dosage this morning - the effect was as strong as when I began in Nov. So abstaining reset my tolerance. At a cost of only 2.3 lbs. On day 1, I can't look at food. The effect is a complete reset. So I hope to lose another 20+pounds."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been taking 25 mg Tenuate for almost 3 weeks, and I am gradually losing weight. So far, I lost 8 lbs. My physician prescribed a water pill. I am definitely watching what I eat and making better food choices when I do eat, i.e., low in fat and lots of veggies. I have absolutely no side effects, and I can easily sleep at night. So far, so good."

"Completely satisfied with this prescribed medication. The medication truly re-directs your eating habits for the greater good. Minor side effects are dry mouth, anxiety & constipation and will subside by drinking water. I've been on this prescribed medication since May 2017 and am down 20 pounds. Great results so far!"

"I'm five feet and was weighing in at 152lb. I tried diet and exercise but I wasn't losing any weight. I went to a clinic and got this medicine and just four weeks later I'm down to 139. The clinic did tell me that the medicine works best the first few months and then hardly at all. For me that's just fine bc I'm not wanting to lose more than 30 pounds anyway."

"I’ve been on this medication for 3 and half months so far lost 29lbs and the first month I lost a lot and now seems slowly shedding a pound or 2 a week. Walked and exercising did help a lot. After the 2nd month seems like the medication doesn’t do me any good, but I know I gotta stay committed to the diet of no sugar."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have tried and failed so many times to lose weight with low calorie and exercise. I went to a weight loss clinic and they gave me Tenuate. I'm always so worried about weird side effects, but I'm happy I don't have any with Tenuate. I have so much energy and painted almost my whole house in two days. I'm on 75 mg, and have to force myself to eat, that's never happened before. It's 2 weeks and 5 lbs off. I'm hopeful. Please post more success stories."

"Went to a diet clinic as I was unhappy with my weight, put on 3 stone while being in a relationship, only started a week ago went back to the clinic to be weighed and so on to find I have lost 7 pound in a week. Find the tabs helped a lot as I find I'm a picker when it comes to food and these tablets stopped me picking and I'm cutting the meals I usually have in half. Hope to lose an extra 27 pound to get my target weight."

"I took this medicine 2 years ago and lost 60 pounds in about 3-4 months. Unfortunately, I stopped taking the medicine and started dating, and of course we ate all the time. I have recently started taking the medicine again, and I have already lost about 25 pounds. One thing I can say, on other medicines, if I stopped taking them, they didn't work when I restarted them. This medicine is not like that, if you take it, it works. My blood sugar is below 100 most of the time, and I was at the point where the doctor wanted to put me on insulin. I have more energy and find myself actually looking for something to do rather than sitting and watching TV or taking a nap because I'm so tired. I hope that one day the company will let me be their spokesperson."

"I was on this medication for 2 weeks and started noticing abnormal bruising and mid-cycle spotting. I looked on the paperwork that came from the pharmacy and it listed those symptoms under the "contact your doctor immediately" category. I spoke to him and he said to stop taking it immediately. It can mess with your blood cell production in your bone marrow. Not taking this anymore. I am one of the unlucky ones that gets side effects so I will stick with something safer for me. It's not worth it in my case."

I have not weighed yet but I have to make myself eat at first I was counting calories but couldn't eat more than 900 calories a day and that was eating 5 times a day so I just eat a little here and there. I have only experienced dry mouth. I am very hopeful I need rid of this weight maybe Tenuate will do it."

"I just started diethylpropion yesterday and I am sick as anything. Been sick since I started. I don't know if I should stop or get use to it. If it helps me loose weight its because I'm too sick to eat. It's multiple sickness. Migraine, vomiting, sweating. I feel like I have a bad stomach flu without the fever."

"I was only 162 pounds at 5’5” when my doctor put me on diethylpropion. I have anxiety really bad so she thought this was the best pill. I’m on 75 mg once a day. I take it at 10am. From day one it instantly stopped my appetite almost completely. I almost have to force myself to eat and it’s very small amounts. In 3 days Ive lost 6 pounds. I have anxiety, insomnia, and severe dry mouth. I drink tons of water. I can barely sleep at all and when I’m awake I feel kind of trapped on the couch. Sort of frozen from nervousness. I don’t feel like I have a ton of energy but my appetite is definitely Gone. My blood pressure has gone up and my heart rate has elevated considerably. The anxiety kicks in about 2-3 hours after taking it and subsides around 8-9 hours after taking it. So, the anxiety is gone by bedtime but the insomnia is still there. Each day seems a little better though. I’m going to stick with it as long as none of the side effects worsen or any new ones arise."

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "Its good for controlling your appetite but there are some other side effects than mentioned above including several joint pain and stiffness of lower jaw which some times feel like its locked specially when I'm dehydrated and it looses its effect over time so its best to start on lower doses"

Tenuate (diethylpropion) "I have been taking Tenuate 75 mg once a day for a week. I've lost 7 lbs, I have experienced dry mouth, but I can definitely live with that. In fact, I almost feel sick in the morning if I don't drink 16 oz of water between 6 am and 9 am. I still get hungry, but I get full faster. I keep a bag of organic almonds in my desk and eat 6 to 10 almonds when I get hungry, and that takes care of that problem. This is the first weight loss pill I've ever taken, and I am pleased with it. 40 lbs to go, I hope to reach my goal in 4 months. This first 7 lbs was with only 2 days of exercise and eating semi-healthy."
