"This was the first birth control I tried and have been on it for the past two years. I have had no side effects besides a lowered sex drive. It shorted my period and lighten them as well! I have never experienced cramps before but when I first went on it I got the worst cramps ever but that’s was only for a month and it went back to normal! This also did help me with acne after accutane and I did lose weight! I would recommend this to anyone, but everyone’s body is different! The only thing that sucks is that it does lower your sex drive by a lot but if you are not looking for that then I suggest trying this pill out."

"I’ve been taking Viorele for 3 years now and never experienced any side effects. I’m on it for cramps and they are really improved. I also have a shorter period that’s only about 3-4 days. I’ll still have some mild cramps the first couple days but don’t have to take medicine for it anymore. This was the first pill I’ve tried and it’s the one I’ll be staying on for awhile :)"

"This birth control option does it’s job but it made me severely depressed and anxious and I also lost a lot of weight on it. At first there was a bunch of spotting too. And gastronomic issues as well, also loss of appetite. Did not work for me but I’m glad it worked for other women."

"I was on this pill for a few years with no issues what so ever. I could miss 2-3 pills in a row (definitely not recommended) and start back up with no abnormal bleeding or spotting what so ever. I know everybody is different but the last 8 months or so have been awful for me. I've been checked out by my OB and have no underlying conditions either but I've been spotting for a week to a week and half prior to my period and if I miss a pill now (even just 1) I have breakthrough bleeding up until the start of my next period. Needless to say I'm changing pills now."

"It hasn’t even been a full month I’ve been on Viorele, I gained 5lbs, breast went up like 2 sizes and cramped the whole month. Everyone has a different experience but I stopped taking it today…. It had me feeling like a pregnant woman"

"Pharmacy switched my pill from Azurette to Viorele and that was a big mistake! I was very emotional and depressed with severe anxiety. My appetite was low. I felt like crying everyday. Never again!"

"I don't need birth control for reproductive reasons but had noticeable and severe changes in mood with out birth control. I have been taking Viorele for eight months and the depressive mood swings are practically gone. I even lost a little weight too, even though it wasn't something I was particularly worried about or looking to do. I'm thankful I have had a good experience with this birth control, as I read the reviews on here before starting and it really worried me. Everyone is different but this stuff has worked wonders on me"
