"I’m 35. I was prescribed Isibloom before beginning IVF. This is the first birth control that I ever had. My experience is just bad! On pill 3, I started having mood swings and what’s worse, I felt like having pressure in my throat (after 6 hours of taking the pill) - all that continued for like 10-12 hours. On day 4 of the pill, I went crazy - uncontrolled aggression, and started having difficulties breathing. Day 5 - I could not sleep, choked. On day 6 of the pill, I had a sleepless night with heart pain and pain in the back (in the area of the heart or lungs). Today, day 7 - I stopped the pill, I cried the whole morning and decided to stop taking the pill. Other side effects were weight loss (4 pounds in 6 days), no appetite, aggression, crying, insomnia, depression, being scared of everything around. It’s horrible for the first experience. But I thought I would let others know. Of course, we are all unique, and maybe what did not fit me will be good for others."

"No problem with the pill, been on for 5 months. Since starting, my breast used to hurt every day, they just stopped hurting (they used to hurt around the time of my period). Haven’t had a period since starting the pill, no cramps. I do get bloated sometimes. Only thing is I’ll eat, then I’ll get hungry like 10 mins later, lol. Gives me the munchies, but I don’t munch. I have also lost weight being on the pill. I pay out of pocket, 19.99 for 4 packs, so not bad on price either!"

"I've been on Isibloom since July. The first two weeks, I suffered headaches, and at times I felt nauseous. Since I was using this pill to skip my period, I had breakthrough bleeding for a few weeks. However, I decided to have my period this month. Before birth control, I had 7-day periods that were quite heavy the first 4 days. Now my period lasted 3 days with light flow. I have not gained any weight, in fact, I was able to lose 5 lbs through frequent exercise and somewhat watching my diet. My acne is under control, and I rarely have blemishes."

"I’m 18 and was prescribed Isibloom using an online birth control provider. I’m currently on my second pack, and I don’t really have many complaints. My emotions haven’t varied all that much, although some days I am definitely moodier, but it’s not to an extreme. I have had no adverse side effects, maybe I feel a little hungrier at times. My period has lightened up a bit— I used to have a 5-day period, now it’s down to 3, and it’s very light with minor cramps. No pregnancy scares either, so I can confirm that the pill is effective. Overall, I like Isibloom, and it seems to work for me."

"So I used to be on Chateal, but after my insurance coverage ended, I started using The Pill Club. I have hormonal acne. When I did start birth control, my skin was GLOWING, I mean like YouTube skincare guru glowing. When I started Isibloom in Sep, it was okay, but I was getting HUGE zits. A month into using Isibloom and I started experiencing these huge acne build-ups. Literally cystic acne. They hurt so much and took 3+ weeks to go away. It was so painful. Not only that, but I was experiencing huge mood swings. 1-2 months in, and I was literally crying to work about absolutely nothing. I would also break down really easily over stressful things. This birth control also reduced my sex drive to zero. Stayed on this for 3 whole months and literally nothing improved, only got worse. Switched, and literally within a WEEK, I stopped experiencing mood swings and depression, sex drive came back, and my forehead no longer has huge mountains."

"I have been on Isibloom for 2 months now. The first few weeks were rough. I was nauseous and had tender breasts, and as of today the tender breasts are still happening. I haven't had any weight gain. It has lightened my cycle, which is only 2 days now. For the most part, Isibloom is great once you get back your body adjusting to the hormones."

"I got prescribed this. I am 25 and have 3 children already. I gave myself a year and some months' break from birth control since I was not sexually active but decided I needed to get on the pill because I started seeing someone and because I heard it could help with acne. So far, I am ten days in and I started on the first day of my period. It instantly made my period lighter and shorter. By day 3, I was only spotting and by day 4 my period ended. Usually, I have longer, heavier periods. I have felt some nausea, but I didn't actually throw up. I drank a lot of water and made sure to eat something before taking it. I do feel a little shaky for an hour after taking it, but it goes away. I hope I haven't jinxed myself, but after reading all the bad reviews, I thought I'd share my good review on it."

"I have been on Isibloom since 2010. I don’t have a period, so I have no cramps or bloating. There were no side effects such as mood swings or weight gain for me personally. This is the best birth control."

"I am 39 and started Isibloom about 2 weeks ago. The only thing I noticed seems to be getting hungry more often. I could not say if it is the pill or just me not eating enough on a daily basis. Either way, no migraines, no acne, no body ache. Everything is good!"

"This is the worst pill I’ve ever been on. I took it for 11 days, and on the 12th, I had forgotten to take it until it was well past 24 hours. That day made me realize just what this pill had done. The past week and a half is just a haze of unimaginable mood swings (I’m usually laid-back and calm, I cried at least twice daily and even once got so crazy I screamed at my husband). I was sick to my stomach every night and threw up on three of the days. I had some kind of headache, whether small or almost migraine, daily. I couldn’t keep my contacts in all day because my eyes felt dry and irritated. That night (after forgetting my pill that morning), my husband mentioned I may be getting used to the pill and its side effects, as I was my usual self. So I haven’t taken another. I have an appointment with my doctor to figure out something different, I do not recommend this pill for anyone."

"I just started Isibloom almost a month ago. This is my first birth control, and it hasn't been bad for me, really. Other than that, I've been super emotional and tired more frequently. My sex drive has increased since starting it. The only thing I haven't liked so far is that my emotions now live on my sleeve. I haven't had my period yet since I started Isibloom... I would definitely recommend it as a first-time birth control."

"I’m on my 4th week with this birth control, Isibloom. (The placebo week) The only side effect symptoms I’ve had thus far are breast enlargement, like my breasts are seriously a cup and a half size bigger within a week. I’m not complaining though because I didn’t feel any pain or tenderness. Secondly, the 1st week on the pill, I literally felt nothing during sex with my BF. Luckily, that was only ONE time. Since that week, my sex drive was back to normal. I also had mild chest pain/shortness of breath my first 2 weeks, but that went away. Those are the 3 symptoms I’ve experienced within the first 3 weeks of this BC. I’m in the 4th now & got my period- it was SUPER light & no cramps at all, so I am very happy. I usually get my period for 5-6 days, but with taking this BC, it hasn’t definitely shortened my period, the amount of blood flow in a day & reduced cramps."

"I was initially really scared to start this brand of birth control because of all its negative reviews. But as a broke college student who had already paid for the medication, I figured I might as well give it a try. I take my medication at 7 PM every night. I haven’t felt any nausea or pains so far (I’m on my third pack). I have experienced some weight gain in my breasts and hips, but nothing crazy. I would suggest trying this out if you can, but be aware that everyone is different and everyone’s body is different. 8/10 for me."

"Honestly, I was terrified to use this pill after seeing the reviews, but for some reason, I did it anyway. I have only been on it for a week, but the main side effects I experienced aren't as bad as I thought. I do have severe bloating, but any anti-bloat pill can fix that, you know, and I expect my body to eventually adjust to the pills and stop bloating. The pill made my period SO MUCH lighter, but I did get some spotting following my period. I do get a little moodier, but once I noticed it was from the pill, I was able to control it a little better (even though I am still crying over dumb things). Also, I did eat really healthy last week because I feared gaining weight on birth control, so I actually ended up losing 3 pounds."

"PLEASE READ THIS. Do not even consider taking this birth control. I received this through the Pill Direct Club. I have NEVER been so sick in my entire life after taking this pill for not even three weeks. I tried to get through it and hope for the best, but my stomach was in agonizing pain. Felt like I was being stabbed from the inside out. Had to call out of work for two days, would have been more if I could afford it. I could not stay off of the toilet. Constant diarrhea. Constantly nauseous. Headaches. I even thought I was going to poop in my sleep. IT IS THAT BAD. I saw the reviews on here and called to see if I could try a different birth control, and they told me they chose this specifically for me. Don’t listen to them. AWFUL PILL."

"I have tried multiple forms of birth control, including the Kyleena IUD. I have awful cramps that make me cry and insane mood swings off and on different birth controls. I got prescribed this pill, and it has changed my life. I no longer have depression during different parts of my cycle, and the painful periods are gone! When I started, I did have some mild stomach upset after, but after an hour, it always goes away. If birth control others rave about doesn't work for you, I highly recommend trying this one."

"I'm 32 and started Isibloom in April. The first two weeks were awful. I had what I felt like were migraines. I wanted to give it a month, though. I began to experience major mood swings by week 4. I am normally a laid-back individual, and this made me feel crazy. But the real kicker happened in the 5th week of me being on this. I developed a blood clot in my leg. I thought it was just a pulled muscle. By the time I realized it wasn't because my calf swelled up 5 inches bigger than my other calf and my foot went numb, I had to be taken to the ER. They ordered me to stop taking the birth control and started me on a high dose of blood thinners. I just want to warn other women that the blood clots can happen! I'm sure all the other side effects can too. I should have stopped taking it when I developed the migraines in two weeks. I've never had this many problems with a birth control! Now I can't take oral birth control because I'm high risk for developing more clots."

"Isibloom is a decent birth control. The first month of taking it, I had nausea, tender breasts, mood swings, and low libido. Those were completely gone after the first pack. It keeps me regular, having short and light periods is wonderful compared to the time with no birth control. I’d bleed for 12-14 days straight, and the flow was very heavy. So Isibloom birth control works great for me, and I hope it will work well for you as well. Definitely recommend it!"

"Period: Months 1-3, I took placebo tablets, as for flow, it remained the same. Cramps were manageable. On month 4, I skipped my period- it was great! I skipped AGAIN, but a few weeks into the new pack, I got breakthrough bleeding that lasted 2 weeks, so I took placebo tablets again, and bleeding subsided. Moods: Months 1-3 were great! Month 4, I started feeling sad, but it wasn’t bad. It was off-putting, and I knew it was the pill because I never felt sad for no reason. It hasn’t messed with me that bad like I’ve read in the reviews, though. Sex: The pill doesn’t make sex painful, but lubrication may be needed the first few months. Appetite: I have lost weight since Isibloom, but that may be due to busy schedules. I don’t get cravings. Pill intake: I’m fairly consistent with when I take my pill, other than occasional mishaps when I take it 1-3 hours later, but I haven’t forgotten to take my pill!"

"I've been taking Isibloom from Pill Club for almost 3 or 4 months now. I was very nervous about taking it because it was my first time taking birth control. And oh boy, did I change. I was angry all the time, always mad at something, felt like I was going to throw up all the time, my weight changed, I've gained almost 30-40 pounds (maybe that's because I live with my boyfriend lol), my acne was doing okay, but the changes in my period were great! My flow isn't as heavy, the first day it's light, but the second day it's heavy! The cramps are the worst on the first day, but after that, no cramps! My period lasts up to roughly 2-4 days, depends if Mother Nature wants to be nice. ALSO, this is coming from a girl that has sex almost every day or every other day, AND I'm not pregnant. AND we don't use a condom either. I would say this birth control is effective, but it just depends on who you are. And we all are entitled to our opinions. And taking the pill is worth all the struggles! Xoxox"

"I’ve only been on Isibloom for 8 days. I’m taking it for acne more than I am for actual birth control. The reason why I’m writing this is because in just a few days my mood swings have been INSANE. I have gotten this random anxiety that feels very intense and scary. I normally do not get anxiety or mood swings like this at all, but I get these sudden rushes of rage and depression causing me to sob uncontrollably and act hysterical. I’m scared of how this may affect my life if I continue, because it’s causing me to feel depressed after each moody episode. I’ll continue taking it until the end of the month because I desperately want to clear my acne, but if it’s not 100% clear skin by then I will definitely switch brands."

"I am 19 and am on my 3rd week of Isibloom. So far, I haven’t gotten any crazy bad side effects. I honestly feel like it has balanced my emotions, but there have been about 2 days that I was more emotional than normal. I haven’t gained weight or been extremely emotional or anything. Towards the evening, I am really tired, which wasn’t always the case before I started the pill. I really like this one, and I would recommend it."

"When I started this birth control, I had really intense mood swings. I even started struggling at work with handling my emotions, and as a reasonably tempered person, I was scared. Within the first couple of weeks, I called the National Suicide Hotline for the first time ever. I’ve had a major drop in weight because of loss in appetite. The mood swings subsided within the first three weeks or so. This birth control also caused a yeast infection that could not be cured by over-the-counter Monistat. I had to go see my doctor. So, I have yet to even 'put it to use,' as it has been a month and a half of incredibly painful, unbearable even, intercourse. I would only recommend this birth control if this is the only option available for you or if your only concern is gaining weight."

"I have been on Isibloom for a little over a year. It was great, I had super short periods, the start of acne clearing up, but just yesterday I woke up with horrible chest pains and was sent to the ER. I found out I had a pulmonary embolism in my lung. I will be going to my OB tomorrow to make sure I’m on the right path to getting healthy. Super scary and hope no one has to deal with that! I am 22 years old and never thought something like this would ever happen as I am super healthy and have no health issues."

"I received Isibloom from the Pill Club. The first month was kind of crazy. It made me extremely nauseous, my boobs hurt all the time, and I definitely noticed an increase in anxiety, depression, and just overall mood swings. I didn’t notice a difference with acne (but I’ve been lucky enough to never really have a problem with that). I decided to stick with it though, and I'm glad I did because after my body adjusted to it, everything else leveled out. I’m now on month 3, and the ONLY issue I still have is ongoing breast tenderness and occasional breakthrough bleeding (but it’s such a small amount that it’s not troublesome or a hindrance at all). I also have not gotten pregnant, so it evidently does its job. I’ve previously been on other birth control pills that literally turned me into The Incredible Hulk, so the side effects from Isibloom have been relatively mild by comparison."
