"I got on birth control because my periods were very heavy. I’m giving the Enskyce pill a 7 because it helped clear acne, other than the occasional breakout, and it has done a good job at preventing pregnancy, however, it barely helped make my period lighter, and it has changed my mood drastically. I’ve noticed at the end of each pack I get very depressed for a few days for no reason, and then it goes away. It just messes with me emotionally."

"I was diagnosed years ago with dysmenorrhea, and ever since then, I have been completely miserable while on my periods. (Back pain, leg pain, cramping, clots, diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, etc.) I couldn't attend work or school because it made me so sick. I felt like the pain was worsening every month. Tylenol quit working, tramadol had no effect, I had to take a Lortab to feel relief. So I asked my Dr. for birth control pills, and since taking them, I have such a light period I forgot I was on it. It only lasted four days. I am relieved of the horrible symptoms, and I can finally live a normal life. However, there were side effects of this drug, as expected (rash, nausea, loss of appetite, vaginal infection), but they are manageable."

"I’ve been on this for 2.5 years. At first, everything was fine, but a year into it I started having constant spotting. My emotions are all over the board. I’ll be feeling really low and recognize I have nothing to feel down about, but I can’t shake this sad/nothingness feeling. This is my last month, and I’m getting off."

"I tried this pill to help with cramps, and I haven’t had the greatest experience. It’s definitely not the worst pill ever, but I’ve had a few problems with it. I noticed that it’s made my anxiety worse (I was previously diagnosed with it), and I get a lot of random headaches. Periods are pretty normal, you get little weird cramps when PMSing. You get them for a few minutes, and they go away all throughout the week. Didn’t make the period much lighter or shorter. Usually lasts 5 days, but cramps aren’t bad. It’s probably different for everybody."

"Terrible, terrible, terrible. Other than it working, it’s terrible. I've NEVER had an issue with acne until starting this BC. When I first started taking it, I thought that the acne and extreme fatigue were because I switched birth control methods and my body was adjusting. Three months in and acne worsened, and I’m still tired all the time. I’m more emotional and sensitive towards things, where I’m constantly putting myself down. Come Monday, I’m calling my doctor to switch me to a different brand. I just can’t anymore with this birth control brand."

"This is my second birth control I've tried, and compared to the first one (whose name I forgot), this one was amazing for me. My acne on my back got better and wasn't a concern with acne on my face. I was more susceptible to being emotional, but that was at night, where most minds are typically active. I didn't have any major negative side effects either. Cycle started and ended at the same time and length consistently. Sex drive wasn't affected. Would get a cramp once in a blue moon. I suddenly got switched over to Isibloom when I went to pick up my prescription. So I'm going to give it a go and see how it goes for a couple of months and switch back if needed."

"I just finished my first month of this. I previously was on Nortrel 7/7/7 and have tried the ring. This has been the most problematic off the bat. Although my acne seems to be getting better, I have bled every day since starting the pack. It seems to be more than spotting though, it's a flow similar to the middle of my period. Also, when I started my placebo pills, my “period” has been more heavy than any I've had in my life. In the first week, I experienced nausea, extreme mood swings, and depression. My symptoms have not been consistent with any of the other times I’ve been on birth control, hopefully, they get better over the next 2 months, or I’m asking for a different birth control."

"I’ve been on this pill for 6 months. I thought my period was starting to get normal, but out of nowhere (after intercourse), I got my period and have had it for 2 weeks now! It’s time to change! Now I have to get an MRI to make sure there’s nothing wrong."

"I took Enskyce birth control pill for approximately 3 years to help decrease my heavy menstrual flow as well as regulate my cycle. It worked well for these purposes. However, I suffered massive bilateral pulmonary embolisms at the age of 33 and the physicians all felt that this medication was the root cause. Please be very careful!"

"This stuff is not great. I only was on it for 6 months just because I could not handle the side effects. It made my skin extremely dry, and I had nice skin, my skin has never been a concern until I started this pill. Also, it made my cramping terrible and made my period extremely heavy, but my period did regulate, so I guess overall it did what it was supposed to do. But I did end up changing pills."

"I've had a mostly positive experience with Enskyce. I've experienced tender breasts, nausea, and an acne flare up that has gotten better with time. I use it to regulate my periods, so it's nice to have normal bleeding every month. My first withdrawal bleed was very crampy and heavy, so be prepared for that, especially if you have/had irregular or absent periods."

"I was very hopeful this pill would help my condition. I’m 28 years old, have suffered with endometriosis since I got my period and have suffered with chronic ovarian cysts for the last 3 years. This immediately improved my pelvic/abdominal pain and cramping with my period and I was so excited. It also improved some hair that grows on my chin that I have to wax or pluck and I felt much less moody. However, after about a week on it I started suffering severe nausea to the point it was debilitating. Then came the migraines and I had to stop taking it. Instant relief from nausea one day off of it. So bummed this didn’t work out."

"The worst experience I have ever had. Was put on this due to irregular periods on IUD. Got the IUD taken out, needed a D&C after. Then after taken one form of birth control that still given me irregular periods I was placed on this one. This is my third month on them and my period came the last week of active pill and even though I have kept taking it as directed I have been on my period since September 3rd!"

"I have been on Enskyce for 6 months. Before Enskyce, I was on Azurette, which is the same hormone combo but a little lower on the estrogen. I switched to the higher estrogen pill, Enskyce, because I kept spotting terribly on Azurette. The spotting did get better on Enskyce, although it took months. So far, Enskyce is the best birth control I have ever been on - others I have tried have been Ortho Tricyclen Lo (neither good nor bad, but didn't help my heavy period at all), Norethindrone minipill (awful, terrible side effects, constant heavy bleeding), and Azurette as I stated earlier. So far Enskyce is the clear winner. I did have emotional side effects for the first month, however - I was really cranky and over-sensitive. Just really impatient and easily annoyed. I became a real jerk and it was very out of character for me. It went away after a month. My period is significantly lightened by Enskyce, which was my goal in taking BC as my natural period is horrendously heavy."

"Love this medicine. No side effects, no weight gain, best pill I’ve found for my acne! Love this one. I’ve tried a few different types of pills, the Depo shot, and the arm insert, and this one is my favorite by far."

"I’ve been on Enskyce for about a month now and TBH at first it was pretty bad. around the first two weeks I became SUPERRRR emotional and would complain to my boyfriend all the time LOL (he didn’t mind I promise). but now it’s gotten slightly better and I’m chillin. I got no physical changes other than being more susceptible to bloating and my boobs are more solid. other than that it’s been pretty good ig."

"I am not a fan of taking any birth control pills or any other drugs at all. I was prescribed Enskyce in preparation to my fertility treatment. I am a very active person and don't eat junk. My main concert was weight gain that can happen even if you're continuing with healthy lifestyle. Happy to report, that after a month of taking it, I didn't experience any bloating or weight gain at all. On the of the not-so-good side effects is somewhat weaker libido and a bit of fogginess. Like my emotions are so neutral, I am not getting very excited or upset, I am just neutral to everything."

"This Enskyce birth control was amazing at first, but started to get worse over time . First 6 months , clear skin, no weight gain, I skipped my period with it , no mood swings. After about 6 months I randomly had spotting and extreme pain where I had to go to the urgent care. It went away, and I’m covered in acne, very emotional, and no sex drive ."

"I’ve been on enskyce for four months now and my acne has not improved. Other then that I feel fine on this birth control pill. No headaches or anything. Period last three days now which is cool. Mood swings occasionally. I’m kind of bummed this hasn’t helped my acne go away though."

"I took Enskyce for about 6 months. I was terribly depressed and often was in a really dark place. My anxiety was out of control, too. Enskyce also made me very nauseous. I do NOT recommend!"

"This is the worst! I have taken Desogen and Apri, but switched to Enskyce a few months ago when it was cheaper and it was supposed to be the same. But Enskyce has made me bloated, retain water (take diuretics for this), and I had breakthrough bleeding at all different times of the month. Can't wait to finish off these last packs and switch to something I like again, even if it costs more. Don't get Enskyce!"
