"Do not take this birth control. I had and still have terrible anxiety from it. It's hard to go to work or grocery store without feeling so nervous that I'm gonna pass out. I've never felt this bad in my life..ask for a different one. Trust me"

"My Dr. told me Enskyce would clear up my acne & I would have no bleeding because she highly suggested skipping the placebo week. HOWEVER, about 2 & 1/2into taking Enskyce, I noticed bleeding outside of my period time. Apparently it was spotting from withdrawal bleeding (something my Dr. failed to mention to me) & when I looked it up, it seemed normal for women starting a new birth control, so I thought nothing of it. It wasn’t until the bleeding became heavy & constant that I began to worry. It’s been 13 days & the little “spotting” is now a heavy flow of blood. My normals periods have NEVER been this bad. What sucks even worse is the cramps that accompany this constant bleed. The pain has woken me up at night, interfered with my job, & overall just made doing anything difficult because the it’s crippling. To top it all off, this med has given me intense headaches every evening, hot flashes, & zero improvement on my acne. I would absolutely not recommend Enskyce to anyone."

"I wrote a review about this birth control when I first got on it. I had a positive experience both then and now and wanted to update. This is the only pill (or birth control method at all) that has worked so well for my body. Everyone is different of course, but I haven’t had any bad side effects at all! Before I got on any birth control, I would have the worst period cramps that I couldn’t move or perform daily tasks. This pill has helped significantly with my period cramps and hasn’t contributed to any acne or weight gain. I used to be on Azurette and had the worst anxiety and depression ever. It’s crazy to me how just a slight difference in the formulation of a pill can have such a drastic effect. I feel like most of the time people only write about when they had a bad experience, so I feel it is necessary to share when we have good ones, too! Definitely worth the trial and error and I’m grateful I found one that works for me."

"My skin has cleared up immensely, my periods are lighter with way fewer intense cramps, and I haven't been paranoid about pregnancy scares in forever! The placebo pills week has made my period quite regular too. The only downside is perhaps a lowered or nonexistent libido. Like, it's just completely gone. But that's okay! I'll take all the benefits over the one disadvantage! Been taking it for over six months now -- I never want to go off this birth control."

"I’m giving Enskyce a 4 as a rating because I have been on this pill for almost 3 months now & I have terrible headaches. I get headaches every day. They are very dull yet the still occur every day & it interferes with my daily life. It has done a great job at preventing pregnancy & clearing up my acne. Sometimes I also get stomach pain & tend to get somewhat constipated. I usually have my period on the 3rd-4th day of taking the placebo pills and they have became a lot lighter but my cramps are still terrible to the point where i am unable to get up off the couch. I truly do not recommend this birth control & I would ask your doctor to switch you on something else."

"This pill is absolutely awful. Took it to help with my PMS symptoms and nothing has changed, if anything it’s only gotten worse. On top of that, I have experienced extreme mood swings. Worse than anything I’ve known in myself. I am not the usual person I am. I am angered easily, I have severe depression. I am dazed and drowsy. Enskyce has done more harm then good. Would strongly recommend to avoid it!"

"I’ve tried this brand twice and each time just gets worse. First time trying I was just nauseous and no energy almost all day. Just started it again and it’s awful! Mood swings like crazy, random crying out of nowhere and feeling dizzy. Shouldn’t even be available to anyone."

"Taking Enskyce has been an awful experience! I was on Juliber for 6 months before my pharmacy switched me to Enskyce because they claimed it was the “same pill, just a different brand” but these two pills are NOT the same when it comes to side effects. Sure, it had prevented pregnancy, and it has given me regularly scheduled 5 day periods (compared to extremely painful, abnormally heavy 10-14 day periods that did not come regularly). On this brand I have been extremely nauseous and almost completely lost my appetite, and as a result have lost a significant amount of weight (around 5-10% of my average body weight, which was already on the low side of the healthy weight range). Due to this I have also become extremely fatigued and often feel weak and light headed. It has also done very little to take away period cramps I experience. I will do everything I can to be able to switch back to juliber ASAP."

"I am giving this Enskyce pill a 3 in terms of 'effectiveness' because it worked to prevent pregnancy, but as others have mentioned the emotional changes are not worth it. When I started with my pharmacy a year ago they switched the medication without notice. Like others, I assumed the generic version would be the same as I am usually not picky. This pill made me feel extremely irritable and it usually takes me a lot to get worked up. I didn't realize that it was due to the pill switch until I forgot to refill with Caremark and had to pay for a pack of Apri at my local pharmacy. I had 0 issues with my mood when I switched back and then as soon as I was back on the Enskyce my irritability started back up again. I'm not sure what the difference is but it is different. I was searching for a reason as to why I could possibly be irritable since there were no actual reasons for it - adding my review to this pile because reading other's experiences helped me not feel so crazy for demanding my Apri back!"

"I did not last more than a week on this pill. I was nauseated every single day that I took it for hours until a friend of mine advised me to discontinue to see if the pill was the problem. Once I stopped taking it, all of my nausea went away and I could get out of bed and get on with my life. I changed to a different pill after that."

"Started this pill 2 weeks ago (pharmacy switched me from the “same” pill different brand). Since taking it I have felt crippling anxiety at night. I also am suffering from a huge breakout (not sure if it’s because of the pill directly, or a side effect of not getting enough sleep). Either way, I’m and getting off this thing."

"worse worse pill ever!! I was on isibloom then insurance changed to enskyce. It has been 7 weeks on it and I'm spotting everyday which is horrible for sex life; I'm moody and emotional which is not like me and gained 6 lbs! I'm finishing this pack and requesting my old pill even if I have to pay more! This is not worth it and FYI I take it at same exact time daily. Oh and the headaches are daily!! Run from this brand plz."

"I do not recommend this pill. I have been taking this pill for 2 1/2 months now. The first month put me in the ER because of unbearable pain before and during my period, and I actually shed 3 lots the size of a quarter!!! My doctor said the pain was because I was experiencing pain similar to the early stages of labor because my cervix had to open to 3cm to pass the pieces of lining!!! The second month of pain was barely any better. On top of all of that, I have been severely irritable, depressed, and moody the entire time I’ve been on this pill. After this pill pack, I’m getting off of it - no matter what my doctor says."

"I never give reviews but this is the worst birth control pill I’ve been on besides TriNessa. This one is absolutely worse though. This specific one gave me horrible headaches for the first two packs and extremely emotional. I’m a very sweet person and it takes a lot to get me angry. Now I get so annoyed and angry extremely easily. I shouldn’t have the angry feelings I have and did not have them before I started this prescription. Do not recommend at all!"

"I’ve been on enskyce for almost 2 years now. I have experienced increasingly worse PMS/periods, random spotting or early periods, mood swings, unstable angry/anxious/depressive episodes, and the nausea seems to be every day now to where I just don’t eat until I’m sick for calories. It’s the worst. Eating has no enjoyment anymore. It took me so long to figure out that enskyce was the cause of my unpredictable moods and horrible stomach pain/PMS. I’ve experienced anxiety/depression beforehand, But I assumed I was just getting worse and worse. I only came across this page while searching for a therapist when I realized my stomach was hurting again 2-5 hours after taking the BC. I then searched the side effects and kept reading the symptoms other women were having. 1/10 and the 1 is because I haven’t gained weight"

"Literally do not ever take this pill. I’ve been on the pill for 3-4 years. I’m not sure what I was prescribed but everything was beautiful. Light periods. No cramping. No mood swings. Nothing. Then randomly 2 years ago they switched me to enskyce and told me “same pill different packaging” a month in and I haven’t stopped bleeding for 2 years. I get 3 days of bliss off my period( mind you I still spot during this time ) and then boom. Blot clots. UNBEARABLE cramps. Migraines. Sore muscles and bones. Hot flashes. My feet tend to get very cold and numb. I lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks. I even had to go see a doctor because my parents thought I had an eating disorder. I thought that something was wrong with me but now reading these other reviews I realize the pill is the problem. Please for the LOG do not take this pill ever. Only thing that’s good is I never got pregnant."

"I have been on Enskyce for 10 months now. I like it. I do not get headaches and my period is way shorter and lighter than it was, not having to sleep on a towel anymore, thank goodness. Other than that no weight gain, headaches or breakouts and less cramping. I had one month where my period lasted two weeks, but I spoke to my doctor and she told me it was breakthrough bleeding and to just keep taking the pill normally and it hasn't happened again. Overall happy with Enskyce."

"Do NOT take this medication. I am 22 years old and have been on the pill since 16. I was having intense menstrual bleeding so my doctor prescribed me a higher dose and ended up giving me this brand. It did not help my cramps what so ever and it made me very emotional. I lost all of my sex drive and became very dry down there. The most scary part is yet to come... A month and a half into it I became EXTREMELY dizzy and light headed. I decided to finish up the month then get off of it. However 2 weeks off of it and I am still extremely dizzy and lightheaded. I have gotten every blood test and nothing comes up. I have seen that several other women experienced pulmonary embolism in the lungs and will be getting this checked out. DO NOT USE!"

"I only took enskyce for 3 days, so I know my body probably wouldn't have gotten used to it. But after the third day, I was extremely nauseous, dizzy, and had a terrible headache. I had to call out of work I felt so sick. After about 12 hours after taking it, I felt much better. And the next day (after not taking it for 36 hours) I felt completely fine. I also was irritable while I was taking it. I did have some positive effects, like increased sex drive. But I did not want to suffer through that awful feeling for 3 months while my body got used to the hormone. I know it will be different for everyone, but this is my personal experience. Keep in mind, I have a very sensitive stomach and anxiety."

"I have had a very good experience with this Enskyce pill. I was on a previous pill that gave me massive headaches and I needed a switch. I kept asking for peoples opinions and got sucked into the internet rabbit hole. Now, I’m taking Enskyce and have been for 2 years. I love this pill. Great contraceptive ladies, also my acne is NOWHERE to be found. Highly recommend."

"I've been on the Enskyce contraceptive pill for over 2 years. My acne, which was absolutely awful on Nortrel cleared up pretty quickly (not sure if it was because of a move to the Southwest from Florida, but I'm back in Florida and acne is still pretty gone). My periods are regular and I can delay them or speed them up by taking an extra pill or not taking the full dosage, respectively. Anyway, that's not recommended, but I'm saying the medication is spot on. I hardly have any cramps, though I do generally have larger bowel movements the day before and day of starting my period. Overall, the period only last 5 days (down from 7-8 days 6 years ago) and overall much lighter on Days 1, 3-5 then every before. I wouldn't recommend this for a starter pill, but as a more experienced user it works well. I do think I experience strong emotions the days before period starting but it could also be environmental changes. Cost went from $9/ month to over $20/ month."

"The last pill I used was triphasic, which triggered panic/anxiety. Doctor suggested Enskyce. I skipped my periods which didn't alter my mood or depression, but I've started to feel empty. I used to be more excited, but I feel numb to everything. Panic/anxiety hasn't improved from switching to Enskyce. I'm managing it, but I start to panic in situations where it's never bothered me before. I'm not suicidal, but I have negative thoughts, even strange thoughts which I've never had before. My sex drive is nonexistent. My skin is decent but not very clear (I'm taking Enskyce for acne). These days I'd rather have acne and be happier with life. I feel bloated after eating salads. Stomach pains are uncomfortable. I began getting chest pains, shortness of breath, my GP noticed heart palpitations/murmur, and my legs feel heavy all the time. I also cycle 30-45mins every day and take walks. After a year, I'm starting to gain more weight and my diet hasn't changed. I eat pretty healthily."

"I was diagnosed years ago with dysmennorhea and every since then I have been completely miserable while on my periods. (Back pain, leg pain, cramping, clots, diarrhea, nausea, loss of appetite, etc) I couldn't attend work or school because it made me so sick. I felt like the pain was worsening every month.. Tylenol quit working, tramadol had no effect, I had to take a Lortab to feel relief. So I asked my Dr for birth control pills and since taking them I have such a light period I forgot I was on it.. it only lasted four days. I am relieved of the horrible symptoms and I can finally live a normal life. However there were side effects of this drug, as expected (rash, nausea, loss of appetite, vaginal infection) but they are manageable."
