For Insomnia "After spending the past two and a half years sleeping in hell on Belsomra 10-20mg/night, I have finally found a caring physician willing to Rx me Quviviq 25-50mg/night. There are still some negative side effects, especially next-day anxiety. But I take a low dose of benzodiazepine to calm that down (but ask your doctor whether that's okay for you, as everyone is different). At least there is much less anxiety and next-day sleepiness with this than with Belsomra; it has a shorter half-life. They both work equally well in the long term, in my experience, and apparently based on their clinical trials. But again, no drug is perfect. I cannot pretend to know whether this drug is right for all insomniacs, but so far it's the best thing out there that these sleep industries have to offer for me. Finally, I do not understand how this is a Schedule IV controlled substance. I cannot imagine getting high off of it. Just another barrier from the government in the face of suffering patients."

For Insomnia "I was very discouraged from trying Quviviq after reading patient reviews. But my close friend told me her doctor had recommended it. She and I have very similar sleep issues... cannot fall asleep for hours, cannot go back to sleep, wake at 3:00 a.m., groggy and dizzy upon waking, no energy. My friend got optimal results the very first night. She slept seven hours through the night with no waking. Upon waking, she felt refreshed with energy and a positive outlook for the day. My doctor prescribed it for me, and I have the same benefits... deep solid sleep, waking up refreshed. It has been a miracle for both of us. no more Ambien!"

For Insomnia "DO NOT TAKE THIS IF YOU TAKE GABAPENTIN! I took one 25 mg pill an hour before bed, but it did not put me to sleep. The doctor said to double the dose if one doesn't work. Two worked, and I slept without waking up. The next day, I felt terrible. I would compare the feeling to a really bad hangover. I was very tired, had a headache, felt dehydrated, and just off. It's a miracle I made it through work. I went to sleep when I got home and did not take the meds again. It's day two, and I feel better but still don't feel good. I googled meds not to take with Quviviq, and gabapentin is on the list. It intensifies side effects such as grogginess and headache. Due to my gabapentin prescription, I will no longer take Quviviq."

For Insomnia "I've had severe insomnia for decades. Quviviq is working well, and I will continue it. Definitely worth a try. Some drowsiness the next day, but that's a small tradeoff for not getting any sleep at all."

For Insomnia "At first, I thought this was great. It did take at least two hours before I fell asleep. But dreams were turning into vivid nightmares. After three weeks on it, I was groggy and totally dysfunctional the next day. I would rather not sleep than feel how I do on them."

For Insomnia "I wish I would have read these reviews first and dealt with the Ambien that only half worked. First couple of uses of 50 mg took about two hours to fall asleep. Intermittent deep sleep with disturbing dreams. Waking at times to see things that weren't there. Groggy with headaches the next day. Tonight I had three terrifying vivid nightmares. Fall asleep, wake up terrified after a half hour of deep sleep, then the same cycle again. Then nightmares within nightmares. I thought my husband was trying to attack me, and when he shook me to wake me up because I was screaming but paralyzed, it took me nearly 10 minutes to figure out what was real and what was a dream. This was not listed as a side effect, and if it was, it was lighthearted and vague. Needless to say, I flushed the pills and am typing this review. I'd rather be tired tomorrow, which I will anyway, than be too afraid to sleep."

For Insomnia "Unlike a lot of others on this review site, I had previously not been taking any sleep medication. I work shift work, and the shift from nights back to days was always tough, and I would typically go in on my first day back with 90 minutes of sleep. This drug is incredible. I am no longer a zombie at work the first 2 or 3 days. It usually takes 2 nights to work for me; then it works great, so plan for that (I wouldn’t use it as a one-off treatment). I do get slightly groggy on days I go a full 50 mg dose."

"I started Quviviq two weeks ago, after experiencing a horrible panic attack from burnout and PTSD/GAD. I wear a smartwatch and since last September my sleep scores never reached above an average of 30-50 (70+ was RARE!). My stress levels were high all night, I wasn’t getting any rest… My HRV remained between 13-16. I was having the same night terrors almost every night. Upon calling my psychiatrist about the panic attack and describing sleep quality, he immediately prescribed me this medication. I was hesitant after trying Trazodone, Zopiclone, benzodiazepines, and a few other medications for sleep that never gave me the rest I needed and made me feel SO groggy all day. Well, folks! My doctor wasn’t lying to me, this medication has been indeed a “game changer!” My quality of sleep and life has dramatically improved. The first night I got a sleep score of 80, my stress levels were much better. I got plenty of REM and deep sleep. My HRV was up to 25 after 1 week!"

For Insomnia "I have taken this drug for 2 1/2 weeks to help me get to sleep. It still takes me an hour or more to get to sleep. The day after, I have a headache and feel sleepy, taking several naps. I don’t like feeling dopey all day. I take 50 mg."

For Insomnia "I'm totally satisfied with my doctor for prescribing Quviviq. I didn't read any reviews or side effect symptoms. So I'm thinking I'm not prejudiced. I sleep like a rock...have to make sure I have ample time to sleep 8-10 hrs or yes, I'm slightly drowsy, it does clear within a couple of hours. Only use occasionally. Seems to make all body sleep."
