"I have been taking Farxiga for a little over a year. From day one, I was having severe breathing issues and shortness of breath, severe back and muscle pain, and cramps, and also felt like my kidney area and low middle back are on fire. I talked to my heart doctor, and we are reviewing alternative medications."

"I was on this medication for about 4 months. My cardiologist put me on it as part of my treatment for heart failure. My heart function improved significantly while taking the Farxiga along with a few other meds, but I had to stop taking it because of the unbearable vaginal itching, redness, and irritation it was causing. The side effects outweighed the benefits for me, unfortunately."

"Farxiga 10 mg also taken with Nadolol 20 mg and Spironolactone 25 mg. Seemed to work for a time. Recently, I suffered with a bad rash under my stomach. Genital yeast infection. Itching in the genital area. Moderate itching of the neck. The rash, itching, and yeast infections started approximately 6 months after starting Farxiga and the other medications. I stopped all for a week, and itching subsided and yeast infection cleared. Neck itching has also subsided. I went for a 6-month check and informed the doctor. He told me to start taking it again, which I have. That I may have to suffer some of the side effects if it helps my heart. I need to diet. So I am giving it another try. If having the side effects again, I will contact the doctor and see where he will go from there."

"My doctor put me back on after they took my melano pump off. I had the worst side effects just after 5 days of use. Dizzy/lightheaded, laziness, weakness, terrible headache, go to bed at 9, wake up at 11:30+ the next day, fast heartbeat, deep sweat at night, and a few others. This medicine is not for me."

"Farxiga has been a godsend for me. I developed CHF with an ejection fraction of 30% after a heart attack. My doctor had tried me on Entresto first, but it caused extreme dizziness/fatigue. We decided to try Farxiga, and it has made a huge difference for me. I'm able to carry groceries again and can sing without fighting for breath, among many little things I can do again, all thanks to Farxiga."

"In October 2020, an ICD wire had failed as my heart failure advanced. I felt terrible-to say the least. Every meal was miserable for me as the shortness of breath became intolerable. I thought the end was around the corner. Long story short, FARXIGA was and is the last thing they could do for me short of an LV pump. FARXIGA was a little rough around the edges for a couple of weeks, these days, I'm doing very well. Perhaps I'll take it easy a couple of days a week, other than that, I take care of myself and every chore and travel. Ask your cardiologist to give you a chance with it..... Incidentally, I was not a candidate for Entresto (angioedema caused by lisinopril, I was happy with lisinopril for 5 years)."

"I gave this a 5 rating because a resting is required to post a review. However, I have no idea how to rate it as I did not take it for very long. I had read about Farxiga and asked my cardiologist to put me on it. Normally, I do a lot of research on meds prior to taking any, but with this one, I did the research after I started taking it. I cannot say if it made any difference because, after I read the possible side effects, I stopped taking it immediately. One of my biggest health phobias (given I, of late, have had a lot of severe-looking, undiagnosed skin problems) is contracting a flesh-eating disease. After reading that Farxiga can cause Fournier's gangrene, as well as seeing a picture of it, I was terrified to continue taking it. I do not think I was taking it long enough to determine if it helped with my heart failure and my ejection rate; however, I wanted to post this comment so that others can be aware of this possible horrific side effect because my doctor never mentioned it to me."

"The only good thing I can say is their side effects info is correct. I believe I got every single one of them."

"I’ve been taking it for about 6 weeks now and developed a UTI. It is taking days for it to clear up."

"I attempted 2 trial runs of Farxiga. Within two days of taking it, I had severe pain in my groin area that caused me to limp and difficulty getting up and down out of the chair. My kidneys felt like they were on fire with the pain. My blood glucose levels went up, and I had severe muscle cramping, constipation, weight gain, headaches, dry mouth, nausea, stomach cramps, severe pitting, and edema from my ankles up to my knees. I continued taking it for about 10 days. When I stopped taking it, within 24 hours the pain in my groin area stopped, and by 48 hours, my muscle cramps had stopped. My physician recommended I stop taking it for two weeks and then restart it. I followed the instructions, and all the above symptoms came back again. I stopped taking it, and again, most of my symptoms subsided. However, I still have constipation issues, fatigue, and some swelling in my legs."
