For Insomnia "I let anxiety and insomnia run my life for way too long. As soon as I got prescribed clonazepam, both were fixed within a couple of days. As long as you take it responsibly, it is a miracle drug as far as I'm concerned."

For Anxiety "I have been on Clonazepam for 1 week now. Prior to taking this medication, I was so depressed and had terrible anxiety. I wouldn’t leave the house. I stopped taking care of myself. My doctor recommended trying this to treat this anxiety, hoping that it would cure the depression from being secluded and not leaving the house. This medication has absolutely saved my life. I’m leaving the house. I’m taking care of myself. My self-esteem has gone through the roof. I take one 1mg tablet three times a day - morning, lunch, and dinner. I was worried about there being an addiction problem since it is a controlled substance, but if you use this responsibly, it can be an absolute lifesaver. If you have severe social anxiety, I recommend mentioning it to your doctor. I would give this medication a 100/10 if possible. I wish the best of luck to everyone out there!"

Clonazepam for Anxiety "Clonazepam is a wonderful medicine that stops all the bad feelings like anxiety, feeling of impending doom, or just nervous but you don't know why. It's in the pit of your stomach, a nauseated twisted feeling in your gut that won't go away. Good news, clonazepam is wonderful for these feelings. 2 mg 4 times a day and maybe a Halcion for sleep, you won't get so nervous and you will feel comfortable in your own skin."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "Sad to read all these bad experiences. I guess I am a lucky one. I started with 4mg dose (a very high starting dose, yes! If I only had known back then...) for severe GAD 2+ years ago and was instructed to take 4mg at once before going to bed, which I did for around a year. Then I kind of skipped doses, and there were multiple days in a row I didn't take anything, on some days just 1mg. Now I am taking 1mg a few times a week, if even that. Haven't had any kind of side effects or negative symptoms so far. Now, that Covid-19 is here, I have decided to take even less and eventually (hopefully) stop this for good. GAD still exists, though, but the medicine has helped me through some tough spots. I guess this medicine is very different on the individual level."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "My GP prescribed Klonopin for me for anxiety several years ago - BIG MISTAKE... I should have done my homework before EVER taking it! I was taking 2 milligrams per day. A relative of mine, & my G.I. doctor told me just how addictive it was, & I decided that I wanted to wean off of it. My GP suggested to take 2 milligrams for the first 2 weeks, then to take 1 milligram for the second 2 weeks, & then take 1/2 milligram for the next 2 weeks. He doesn't have a clue how to wean me off of it, & he honestly doesn't care. I'm almost done the 1/2 milligram for 2 weeks, & needless to say - I'M MISERABLE?!!! First of all, if I'd ever known how addictive it was, I NEVER would have taken it in the first place. I've never abused it, but my body feels like it's being abused NOW! I'm having heart palpitations, headaches, stomach pains, etc. I would welcome any suggestions..."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I've been on it for 2 years and YES it is a great drug to help with anxiety. Without it, my life wouldn't be the same at all. It is very hard to come off of. But you have to make a choice to live with the pain of anxiety or be addicted to something that fixes the problem. Neither one is great, but I don't like pain."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I have generalized anxiety disorder. Before I was prescribed Klonopin, I was on the verge of losing my job, house, even my family. I couldn't stop worrying, stressing, and overwhelming myself. I had no energy to even play with my kids. Once I started taking this medicine, it brought me back to living and enjoying life, family, and even performing better at work. I really recommend this medicine if you have generalized anxiety disorder, it works like a miracle."

For Insomnia "I have suffered from insomnia most of my adult life. Like many here, I was prescribed clonazepam 1-2 mg at night. I have never increased the dose after years of use. In fact, my doctor recommended that I go down by 0.5 mg as often as I felt comfortable to do so in order to reduce the chances of becoming tolerant to the medicine. Works like a charm after many years of use. I wish there was something else, but this has become the best for my insomnia. I tried many other things."

For Anxiety "I developed anxiety years ago. Tried SSRI meds but they gave me such bad migraines that the doctor was afraid I’d stroke out. After prescribing me Clonazepam 0.5 mg that I take as needed, it has helped me so much. I don’t have any bad side effects and I can function normally. I’m thankful for it."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "Anger. Anxiety. Stomach in a knot. Wanting to die. Then I take my Klonopin and a warm feeling envelops me. I'm suddenly calm. I'm reasonable and rational. The violence in my heart temporarily melts away. I'm not angry anymore. I take a short vacation from misery. Then I blissfully drift off to sleep. I won't take it often because I don't want to become addicted. But when things get unbearable, my Klonopin soothes my racing mind."

For Anxiety "Been taking clonazepam for a decade. 2mg per day, was at 6mg per day max a few years back. Helps tremendously. Tolerance for me doesn’t increase like other Benzos like Ativan and Xanax does. Negative side effects are very few other than maybe dry mouth."

For Burning Mouth Syndrome "I have suffered with BMS (burning mouth syndrome) for over forty (40) years, without a cure, perhaps induced by toothpastes meant to treat tooth sensitivity. Most practitioners I visited had no idea of what it was nor how to treat it, but please bear with me. There, this past December (2018), my dermatologist prescribed Clonazepam tablets, dissolved in the mouth for three minutes, then spit, three times daily, as already mentioned on another thread. Additionally, 1-2 drops of Tabasco Sauce (YES! Tabasco Sauce - CAPSAICIN) in four tablespoons. Swish and spit. “Increase the number of drops of Tabasco in the same amount of water slowly as tolerated (one drop at a time).” I now use 12 drops in a cup of water, kept in a flask, just like the neighborhood alky. By now, 6-24-2019, the improvement is hard to believe. Almost miraculous, folks. And soooooo grateful to my dermatologist at the Mayo Clinic. Cheers! Enjoy life, do good deeds, share your blessings and read all you can, especially classical literature. Hopefully this will help cure your burning mouth syndrome."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I have been suffering from intrusive and ruminating thoughts that I could not control. I could eat, sleep, and even get my work done. I am also having chronic health issues at 32, otherwise fit and healthy. I was on Prozac, Trintellix, Lexapro, Viibryd, and a few more. Nothing helped. I told my doctor my anxiety was causing suicidal thoughts as it worsened my depression immensely. She prescribed 0.5 mg 2x daily (1 mg per day), and oh my goodness, I actually feel sane! I'm able to drive without any anxiety, hang out with family and friends, and stop worrying about literally everything. Amazing medication."

For Migraine Prevention "I've been taking 1 mg per night for almost 5 years to prevent migraines. I had at least 15 migraines per month, now it's rare for one to come on. Why isn't this prescribed as a migraine prophylactic more frequently? It actually works, and because it's used at night (at least in my case), there are no side effects that I have experienced...unless good sleep is a side effect."

For Restless Legs Syndrome "Have had increasingly severe restless legs syndrome for 45 years. Finally started using Requip about 12 years ago, and got relief from RLS at night, but had to be doing something physical or at least on my feet all day to keep it under control. Got up to 3 mg at bedtime, but that was causing horrible nasal congestion every morning. My doc suggested clonazepam, and the effect was absolutely amazing! Wonderful, solid sleep every night. But, even better, the RLS disappeared during the day, as well. Daytime movies, meetings, and travel all now possible for the first time in decades! Need only 0.2 mg each evening, and no adverse side effects or tolerance increase after more than a year. This truly changed my life."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I started on 0.5mg for anxiety & panic attacks. Doctor recommended I take 2-4 times a day. I did that for 2 months then stopped to a few times a week. When I didn't take the medication every 3 days I feel like I was having a panic attack so I would take it thinking it was my anxiety but only to find out it was my body going through withdrawal. I'm trying to get off for good because this has only made me feel worse. Very depressed, stomach issues, bad headaches, arms hand and legs would get tingles and feel like my heart is about to pop from my chest. After doing a bunch of research and speaking with my doctor I was going to taper myself off but since I haven't taken it in 4 days I'm just going to continue to ride this horrible experience out and hope I get better within the weeks to come. If you suffer from anxiety or panic attacks please try something your body won't depend on. Didn't think it could happen to me and it did."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I have tried every medication under the sun for anxiety! I was born anxious, I have always said. My doctor put me on Klonopin as more of a long-term anxiety medication in her mind. It was such a miracle for me. I was prescribed 1mg x 2 at night, if needed for anxiety and insomnia, at the time of my divorce. I found I was able to wake up the next day without feeling groggy if I had taken it the night before. When the panic and anxiety set in, it allowed me to calm down and get through the hardest moments. I only take it once in a while these days, but it truly helped me."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "This drug, even at a medium to low dose, once given - is nearly impossible to stop taking. I for one have no desire to ever stop taking it. It gave me relief at 33 years old from a life of nonstop anxiety. It was godsend. However, the issue lies within the medical profession in different regions of the country. I have relocated 9 times in 15 years for work. 9 times, I was told no, we cannot prescribe a controlled substance to a new patient regardless of Dr. records showing I’d been taking Klonopin for years. I literally have been shut down at the window at a new Dr. office, ERs have made me feel humiliated, previous Drs. can’t call in controlled substances across state lines - NINE TIMES I have had to go through the absolute worst nightmare of withdrawals I have ever experienced. Because the medical profession turned their back on me. And continues. I am terrified to move because this will happen again."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "A+. Couldn't function without it. Takes away that tense feeling in my brain. I don't have panic attacks, but I deal with a lot of anxiety that brings on severe irritability. Just one 5mg pill in the morning and one when I get home from work, and I'm free from all that. I can live a normal life and not let my anxiety ruin my relationships, work, etc. Lasts longer than Xanax and more effective, in my opinion."

Clonazepam for Anxiety "I have been taking Klonopin for 20 years. It all started because I lost function of both my inner ears and had no balance. The ear specialist concluded that there was no treatment available for this condition, so my stress and anxiety level landed me in a pain clinic where medicine, exercise, counseling, and diet did the trick. In three days, I was back to normal. What I later found out is that Clonazepam was not only very effective for my balance disorder, but it took the anxiety away. Today I take 2mg a day in two or three doses and feel completely normal. When stress increases, I slightly increase the dosage. I take it with Lexapro so as not to end up in depression. The secret, for me, is daily exercise (walking) and Clonazepam/Lexapro 10mg."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "This drug is saving my life right now. It's a shame that the people who abuse it ruin it for those of us who get relief from debilitating issues from it, because many doctors just don't want to prescribe it now. I say, what's the point of having a drug if you can't use it to help people who need it."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I began taking Klonopin when it first came on the market in the 80s. When nothing else would even touch it, Klonopin stopped my severe anxiety and panic attacks completely within the first week. Klonopin gave me my life back. I never thought I would be anxiety and panic free but I was and still am. This drug continues to be a miracle for me. I was on 4 mg a day when my panic/anxiety was at its worst, but I am now on a low maintenance dose of 0.5 mg 2x a day. It's not for everyone, but for those who benefit from it, it's a godsend. Don't be afraid to try it. It changed my life for the better. Hands down, a miracle drug for me."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I started taking clonazepam after back-to-back panic attacks in the middle of the night that kept me awake. I started taking 1 mg a day in late 2014. I moved to a different state last January and could not obtain a prescription. So, I started taking a lower amount to make it last. I felt I was losing my mind mainly due to no sleep. I went back to my home state a couple of times and got a prescription with intentions to wean off. Now, 8 months later and taking 0.5mg every other day. I try to go 2-3 days in between, but I get terribly sick. I've been depressed. Can't get things moving with my career (self-employed). I can't take it anymore! I intend to start cutting the doses to 0.25mg a day instead of 0.5mg every other day. I think I will take advice to put this in a solution or use a nail file as I have read. Please post your updates with your weaning process, and I will do the same. It helps. Pray you all can get yourself off this junk."

Clonazepam for Insomnia "I find that this medication works on insomnia when other drugs don't except for a true heavy duty narcotic sleeping pill. It also helps as a very mild tranquilizer for 24 hours, so it is spread throughout the day to calm anxiety attacks or the fight or flight effect. It is good even if you have bouts of depression because without sleep, your depression worsens. So I give this medicine a 10. I have been using it now for 3 years with no side effects. I am also on an antidepressant as well. But getting more than 3 hours of sleep a night is wonderful, especially without flashbacks."

Clonazepam for Panic Disorder "I have been prescribed many nerve medications but now that I am on Klonopin, I feel like a brand new person. I actually feel like getting out and being more social with people. A big thanks to the people who made the little nerve pill called Klonopin. You have made my life so much more worth living. I actually want to be around my family and friends now. Thank you very much for making my life so much easier."
