Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic "I went to the doctor because of some ear pain a few days ago and an overproduction of ear wax. My doctor prescribed me Ciprodex. I was fine at first. The pain started to go away very slowly, slight clog right after using the drops, but my ear would pop and go back to normal after a few minutes after using the drops. Last night I put in the drops and, as expected, I was waiting for my ear to pop...it didn’t. Let’s just say I spent the whole night crying and got absolutely no sleep. I have pressure and the feeling of a big chunk of wax stuck in my ear that just won’t budge. I also have been experiencing tinnitus since last night. I can’t hear anything from my ear. I’ve never had ear problems. I am miserable, and I’m worse than ever. I contacted my doctor about this, and they said it was normal. But I’m just not believing it."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "I had a pretty bad ear infection and was prescribed Ciprodex. I applied it in the evening right before bed, and it felt like it was burning, I was in so much pain. The next morning, I woke up with mild tinnitus. At first, I didn’t put it together that it was the drops that gave me tinnitus after, but because the drops gave me terrible pain, I didn’t use them again. After a week, and I still had the infection, I decided to use the drops again in the morning, by nighttime, tinnitus increased to a massive level, and I couldn’t sleep for weeks. Luckily, tinnitus eventually went down to being very mild, but I’m not sure it’ll ever go away. No hearing loss, I’ve had three expensive tests done. I wish I could have researched this medication. Even my ENT told me the drops are not good for middle ear infections."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "Ciprodex was prescribed by my ENT doctor in Portland, Oregon, in January 2008. Immediately after using this drug, I developed serious vertigo issues that resulted in a fall. I also got tinnitus, ringing in the ears, which is especially annoying."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Middle Ear Infections "I've been using this medication for 3 days now. The pain from my infection is gone, but the ringing in my ear is still there, and everything is muffled. I am also on an oral antibiotic for tonsillitis and sinus infection as well. Overall, I am very happy with this medication. The only downside is that if I had not had insurance, this medication would have cost $101, with insurance, it was only $25."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I had ear canal inflammation for almost 4 weeks and haven't touched these drops since the reviews say that it'll damage your cochlear nerve, cause hearing loss and tinnitus. Taking these drops, I've seen some improvement. Yeah, a little pain here and there, and yes... a little tinnitus here and there, but that's cause the medicine is eating the inflammation like Pac-Man. It works like a charm. Just don't overuse it or you'll get hearing loss and resistance. It works, trust me."

For Otitis Externa "Been taking Ciproxin HC ear drops for 3 days and now have the worst ringing in ears. It started with a muffled left ear on Monday. Saw doctor on Tuesday who prescribed these drugs. Since Tuesday, I have had ringing in both ears, which has caused vertigo, vomiting, nausea. These are also symptoms of ear pressure from a cold, but I’ve never had ear noise like this before. Think I need to stop taking them."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I’ve been taking Ciprodex for 48 hours now, and I have constant tinnitus. The swelling or pain hasn’t really improved. If it’s not improved by tomorrow, I’ll go back to the doctor. I live in Canada and paid 0.57 cents with insurance. Even without insurance, I doubt it would be very expensive."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I had an outer ear infection. These drops made my left ear feel clogged up and ringing in my ear and ear pain. I would not recommend this medicine. I'm hoping it is temporary."

Ciprofloxacin / dexamethasone otic for Otitis Externa "I’m on the 4th day of using Ciprodex for an ear infection. There is a ringing, whooshing in my ears. I can barely hear properly! My ears are pulsating. Feel so terrible. I’m worse off than when I started the drops! I hope I’m not going deaf from this stuff."
