For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "OMG. You name it. Bloating, in Stomach area right under my rib there was burning, extreme pain & discomfort. It was tender to the touch. There was a tightness & feeling of fullness in that area. I was fatigued. Then came severe stomach cramps throughout my abdominal area. It felt like my entire torso was cramped up bad. Very uncomfortable & painful. It jeopardized my job. Many mornings the pain & cramps were so bad I could not go to work. Diarrhea, Constipation, Defecating all types of colors, textures and consistencies. Absolutely horrible. First was given pantoprazole acid reducer and bentyl stomach muscle relaxer which did absolutely nothing. Then Chlordiazepoxide-clindi which solved my problem. My prayers were answered. Its a magic pil"

For Peptic Ulcer "I've been taking Clidinium for over 20 years to deal with acid stomach and esophagus spasms. When eating, I would have the feeling that food was "getting stuck" after just a few bites. This is the most wonderful drug to deal with my "nervous stomach" so to speak, and also has the side benefit of reducing instances of lower tract issues as well. without cramps. CVS Caremark is now giving me a hard time covering this medication, saying the problem is that it's not FDA approved, having gone to market in 1966, preceding the FDA. Actually the real problem is that it's "expensive"! They suggested 2 other IBS drugs which did nothing for my stomach, and resulted in abdominal cramps. I'm still fighting but out of room!"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "This has been very effective in managing my symptoms of IBS-D. It helps with intestinal burning, gas, bloating and diarrhea, etc. I do still have to take Imodium at times. Side effects are not bothersome or have worn off. I have been taking it regularly for years and if I forget to take a dose, my stomach (or intestines) remind me! It used to be very low cost which was great. Now it is getting more and more expensive. Medicare does not cover it. "

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I have been on and off of Chloridiazepoxide for about 6-7 years. It has been a life saver. My new doctor was reluctant to put me back on it, but decided to give it a shot. The only thing I don't like is the cotton mouth, but hey, I need to drink more water anyways! It really helps with my spastic colon and my anxiety that caused my Irritable Bowel Syndrome episodes. I'm always afraid to get dependent on it, so I stop taking it after awhile then begin again when it starts bothering me. My new doctor is monitoring me to make sure he knows every time I refill and contacts me if I keep requesting to make sure I'm OK."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "This chlordiazepoxide/clidinium is the only drug combo that "cured" me. I had struggled with IBS for 2 years before my doctor told me about this drug. At first it was not available in my State and I had to order it from another State but then that State stopped it from being used or manufactured there. By that time, thank goodness, Maryland approved the use of this drug and I have been taking it since 2004 and now I am being told by ALL the pharmacies in this area that it is on back order and not readily available. I only have a weeks worth left and am waiting to hear from my doctor as to what to do or if there is something similar that I can take. I'm scared because I do not want to go back to the IBS symptoms and all the abdominal pain that goes with it. Why the shortage?"

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I have been diagnosed with IBS and starting taking the generic form of Librax almost 2 months ago. My stomach pain and issues have almost been completely eradicated. This pill definitely improves my quality of life. There is some annoying side effects including dry mouth, but they are worth it."

Librax (chlordiazepoxide / clidinium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I have been taking Librax for over 40 years. Most of the time, one at night. Foods make me sick to my stomach. I've noticed no side effects with Librax except do not drink alcohol! I did once. Never again. I had 2 beers and felt like I drank 8 and passed out. Librax does the job. No complaints. Anyway, librax has gotten so expensive. I called CVS and it is now up to $1,500 for 60 pills!!!! My health insurance will not pay for it. I have taken Donnatol which helped but I prefer Librax or the generic version. Actually, I cannot find Librax at any pharmacy near me for many years, just the generic. I am a Senior Citizen and cannot pay $1,500. I do not understand why it is so expensive."

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "Librax (chlordiazepoxide/clidinium) is the only med that has helped IBS-D. Diagnosed about 25 years ago. Maintenance of 2 daily works until flare-up, then 4 daily. Anxiety, stress, and some food cause flare-ups. Nothing else has worked! No side effects. Insurance does not cover, use drug cards or coupons. Harder to find either."

Librax (chlordiazepoxide / clidinium) for Irritable Bowel Syndrome "This is the ONLY medication that helps for my irritable bowels. I also have acid reflux and anxiety. It is now NOT a controlled substance as it shouldn’t be. I take it before every meal. Bentyl and hyoscamine were way too painful. Librax is gentle to my sensitive system. Yes, I changed my diet and lifestyle too. Ask your doctor, the Valium in it slows the smooth muscle in the colon. Does not get me “high.” Some doctors need to learn more pharmacology. However, you will need prior authorizations because it is not cheap. I fought to get it covered and you should too. I also do not drink alcohol on this medication. So if you cannot stop drinking, this is not for you."
