Evoxac (cevimeline) for Sjogren's Syndrome "First, I must say I have never written any online review for any product or service. I just don't have the time, and I am not into social media. However, I read many reviews about Evoxac, and due to the feedback, I got up the nerve to try it. I hate taking any type of medication, so it was a big deal for me. Exactly one hour after taking the first pill, I had two episodes of lightheadedness. It went away after a second. That night, I had a headache. I only took one 30mg tablet of Evoxac because my doctor said to take as needed, up to 3 per day. The next day, I took another tablet at the same time in the morning. No dizziness or headache. After about a week of just taking one tablet each day, I noticed about one hour after I took it that my mouth had saliva and I could swallow! This was a lifesaver for me. I've been taking it for one month, and I still only take one per day. I also use Biotene mouthwash twice a day. I would recommend this drug to anyone with dry mouth due to Sjögren's."

Evoxac (cevimeline) for Sjogren's Syndrome "I’m really glad Evoxac helped people here with Sjogren's. It has really improved my dry mouth, and I can cry again. The problem is I have all the side effects they list, and it’s really bad. I’m sweating constantly, I’ve got headaches and chills, I feel like I had the flu last week, and I didn’t. I’m just miserable, and I can’t take it anymore, so I’m gonna stop taking the medicine. I know the dry mouth is really bad, but I can use other things for that. I’m gonna go see my rheumatologist and see if she’s got something else for me. Good luck to all of you, and God bless."

Evoxac (cevimeline) for Sjogren's Syndrome "I just started to take Evoxac yesterday around lunchtime. So I took 2 pills yesterday, and at night I cried these huge tears. So I know it's working. For the dry mouth, it takes one hour for it to work, it feels moist but not wet. At the end of the day, a headache comes as a side effect. Overall, it is good."

Evoxac (cevimeline) for Sjogren's Syndrome "I had been telling all my doctors about my dry mouth, eyes, and skin. Well, I finally got a new rheumatologist, and she checked me and said, 'Boy, you have severe dry mouth.' I said yes, along with eyes and skin, and she recommended this for me. At first, I had dizziness and headaches, so she told me to stop, and I did. But to me, I can handle the headaches but not the dryness, so I went back on it, and within an hour of taking it, I am doing better. I can swallow now, I had not been able to eat anything dry, it would get stuck in my throat. Now I can. I am a happy camper. Now to deal with my other issues at hand, I hope this helps... God bless."

Evoxac (cevimeline) for Sjogren's Syndrome "Just started taking this medicine. I’ve taken it for almost a month. It definitely works very well for dry mouth and dry throat. I am taking Restasis for the dry eyes, and that is working great. However, like one lady mentioned here, I have felt like I have had the flu for the last two weeks. So I was prescribed Tamiflu. That made it worse. Severe, severe fatigue. I am not sleepy, I am just tired all the time. I have back pain, upset stomach, headaches, body odor, shaking, nausea, vomiting, and other bad side effects. I’m going to speak with my ENT about this tomorrow. I have an appointment to see a rheumatologist for the first time in February! Takes a long time here in Memphis to see a rheumatologist since we don’t have very many. So I need my ENT to figure out what I need to do for the next two months. This medicine definitely works for Sjögren’s syndrome, but the side effects are too severe for me to keep taking this medicine."
