For Pain "This is simply an awful drug that is shockingly being misrepresented as a frontline pain management drug versus a rehabilitation drug. Doctors are being either scared or bullied into writing scripts for this trash and people like myself with MS, 11 invasive surgeries including multiple cervical fusions, multiple thoracic disc replacements, and one of my fusions is broken. Furthermore, in my case, it was equitably compared to a fentanyl patch in performance. It was my pharmacy that actually told me what it was and how it would, or more so would not, work. I had no titration down from 100 Morphine Equivalents and was started on a patch of 7.5 mcg. This medicine is so misunderstood that when I went into withdrawal, then became dehydrated from the bowel distress and vomiting, our little hospital didn't know what to do and was too scared to help on a Sunday afternoon. IF GIVEN THE CHOICE, please don't agree to it and save yourself a ton of unneeded misery. Best of luck and find a doctor you trust."

For Chronic Pain "It probably would work fine if titrated to correct level. I can’t take NSAIDs because I’m a stroke survivor so got Hydrocodone many years ago. Didn’t take except as prescribed. The Belbuca is fine (with its non-dissolving issues), but it’s over $600 a month for Humana Medicare. It’s more than 8 if above 300mcg. They offer no discount for Medicare. The copay for me was $317.00. Butrans was given since it’s a lot cheaper but the mcg start at 7.5, which is way less than 150. I’m in fear to start it. I’m in fear of withdrawal and severe pain. The doctor doesn’t seem to care. He’s doing his job except he’s not helping his patient. He’s obeying the government."

For Opioid Use Disorder "My experience is that I had been taking large amounts of opiates for about 20 years. After rehab, I was on 28 mg of strips for about 5 months. I got one 300 mg shot of Sublocade about 5 months ago and haven't been back. I'm still testing positive for Subs in urine, and I'm still struggling with restlessness at night, but I'm taking advantage of the chance to beat the beast, and I'm also very involved with a 12-step program. My life is magical!"

For Chronic Pain "About 6 years ago, I had a failed back surgery. The surgeon kept saying there was nothing more he could do. I took tons of pain meds that wouldn't last long at all. Then they said I needed pain management, and they took me off all meds, so my pain was bad. Now I have a new pain doc who put me on Belbuca 300 mg. I tell you now, it works for me. I still have pain, but it's totally better than I have been in 6 years. I finally have my life back, hunting and fishing. I am so glad not to take pills anymore. I've been taking it for 3 months now."

For Chronic Pain "Butrans changed my daily living. I loved what it's done for me so much that I have 2 other friends suffering and their doctors have them on it now too. The only thing I don't like is the prickly itchy feeling but, after reading some of these reviews I may talk to my doctor about their suggestions. Also, I find that after the first 3 days I have had little to no side effects. I am sometimes able to push my days out to 8 as long as I don't overdo the week. Otherwise, I am ready by midday of the 6th day and will often change it the very eve so that by my 7th day I'm back up and running. Hope this review helps, I know when I went on it, the reviews were helpful to me. Thanks Butrans for my life! If you have pain, Butrans works."

For Chronic Pain "I am a nurse and I am also a med student. I have been in chronic pain for 5 years. My average daily pain without meds is 9/10. I did 5 rounds of shots, the 2nd round almost destroyed my life and my pain had new manifestations. Tried chiropractic, great for 90 days then decline. Finally one day the pharmacist surprised me with Butrans. I didn't even know they sent it over! I put it on and within 3 hours I recognized I was in pain, but I just didn't care about the pain. The next morning and from then on I have been completely pain-free! It's like nothing I've experienced before. I'm not foggy like with other drugs, I actually feel mentally sharper and my performance supports that, but I'm literally not experiencing pain! I HIGHLY recommend it!"

For Chronic Pain "My wife has suffered from chronic pain for years. We have been through the regular pain management routines that physicians are trained to perform, for example, injections, pain pills, physical therapy, muscle relaxers. Butrans gave our family life again. I forgot she was sick. It also helped with her depression and mental illness. You will build a tolerance to it as years pass and it seems to start losing strength around the fifth day. It is definitely worth trying. Expensive without insurance though."

For Pain "I have been on 4 Norco 10 mg for a few years now, and last week my pain management doctor prescribed me the 10 mg Butrans patch to go along with my Norco. I went in to see him and explained how the Norco wasn't lasting me all day. I was wanting him to up my dose of Norco to 5 a day, but instead he prescribed me the Butrans patch. I got the script filled and gave it a try, really not believing it would work, but today I really could tell it was... this is my fourth day on the patch and also my first day off. For the past year and a half, my days off I run back and forth to the couch trying to get comfortable from my pain and not able to sleep. I got up after 11 uninterrupted hours sleep feeling the best I have in years! NO pain! Butrans works!"

For Chronic Pain "I've been on pain meds for about 8 years. I have disintegrating discs in my neck, bulging discs in my lower back, fibromyalgia, ovarian cysts, and I had major neck surgery last year. I've been on every pain med available and got up to 80mg OxyContin after my surgery. I was still hurting and even had DNA analysis which shows my body burns through meds at a much higher rate than most people. I started 600 Belbuca, and I'm weaning off Dilaudid, which is what I had to switch to after Oxy no longer helped me, and next month I'll move up to 750 and be completely off Dilaudid. I'm baffled at all the bad reviews. I've tried everything, and for the first time in years, I don't hurt and feel clear-headed. The pack is hard to open, but it's not a big deal."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Subutex for 2 years now. Before, I was into pain pills, then moved up to heroin for about 8 years. A lot of people blame the drug for just not working, but you have to be ready to stop getting high. This last attempt to stop, I was desperate, went to a 120-day treatment facility, and started Subutex. I have now been clean a little over 2 years. A lot of people say I'm trading one addiction for another, and that's fine. At least now I'm not sticking a needle in my arm or hurting the people I love to get another fix. When I started Subutex, I was jobless, living in a homeless shelter, and now I have a house, job, car, and kids back in my life. I've seen people leaving comments bashing the drug or praising it. Look, it's different for everybody. No, I do not give the drug all the credit because you need to have the desire to stop getting high for it to work to begin with. Just like NA and AA, Subutex isn't the cure-all. It can help if you really want it to, though!"

For Chronic Pain "I've taken numerous medications on the chronic pain control list, and I have found this one to be the best at overall pain control with only one dose per day required. It works a little differently than other narcotic pain medicines. While it is relatively new in the United States for pain control, it has been used in Europe for pain treatment for many years. I have also found that the normal effects you would normally expect from narcotics, like euphoria, dizziness, and light-headedness, are just not as pronounced, which has really given me a lot of my activities back. While no medicine will ever stop pain 100%, this medication has been a life-changer for me."

For Chronic Pain "As an opioid dependent patient of 10 years that has transitioned onto buprenorphine. The doctor started me on 75mg as a starting point and increased the dose each month. This month is month 3 and I am currently on 300mg twice a day, and it is finally calming me down and actually working for my pain. It only lasts about 6 hours, and I push myself to 8, but it is supposed to last 12. So, this next month I will be on 450mg 2 times a day. I will say this, how I've felt the past week has been a drastic change that I can see. The Belbuca is starting to actually work, and it will work as long as you are on the correct dosing amount that suits your needs. Any time you change or come off of pills like Percocet or Norcos, you will feel the change and feel it strongly if you're on too low a dose for you. Belbuca is now my preference, especially since I don't have to suffer when a pill such as the 2 I just listed above only lasts 2 hours compared to my 6 with Belbuca. Please stay strong! Good luck all."

For Chronic Pain "I have CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy) and was in severe pain in my arms and legs. Tried a high dose of tramadol for a year until the pain didn’t respond at all. Pain scale was 8-9. Prescribed Butrans, and my pain was down to 3 on the 2nd day and a 2 on day 3. By day six, the pain crept back to 5. Started a new patch, and the pain reduced to 2 again by the end of the first day. This medication is a MIRACLE for me! I have my life back."

For Pain "So I have been on the Butrans patch 10 microgram/hour for the last 5 months. I took anti-sickness tablets so I had no sick feeling or any side effects at all. It has been a godsend, this patch. I'm in no pain, I noticed in 4 days... I'm from Ireland. I fell and fractured my back in 5 places, I was in severe pain with my back and spasms which left me sleeping in a chair for 3 months. Since I came on the patch, I'm back in my bed. So, this patch is the best ever in my opinion. Anyways, hope this helps someone. I'm a 25-year-old girl from Ireland."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "After 11 years of struggling with heroin addiction and intermittent failed attempts to stop with Suboxone, I successfully got clean with Sublocade. It bought me time and allowed me to change my behaviors and thinking. I had to discontinue it after 3 months of shots due to a mandated drug program. I continued to test positive for Bupe for 6 months. After 2 months of negative tests, I can tell you it was a fairly painless kick. Cravings returned about 3 or 4 months after my last shot but improved and are gone now. Bad insomnia, but I didn’t feel tired during the day. I also had some mild to moderate restless legs. Gabapentin helped me get through that. The shot self-tapers very slowly, so it seems to be a great way to transition off Suboxone as well. I am now on Naltrexone and opiate-free. Sublocade saved my life and I couldn’t have gotten clean without it."

For Chronic Pain "To Badbones who commented about PM Clinic being rude & disrespectful. Honey, 'YOU ain't seen nothing yet!' Yanno how the DMV is just understood & expected to be a NIGHTMARE? Welcome to Pain Mgr! You MIGHT actually be in some pain but if so, it's your own fault for choosing to live as a junkie. You MIGHT get a low dose, low effective med but you will sell your soul to pay for it, that's for sure. Do NEVER say you took more than rx'd because your pain spiked etc... NOT EVEN 1! DO NOT tell them this doesn't work. They'll take it & give you NOTHING until you've successfully begged & groveled... I was BLESSED to find a Neurologist that's also PM. THEY'RE OUT THERE. LOOK!!!! They're ALL run this way. Thanks to real junkies & Trump, they're all getting worse as he vilifies actual pain sufferers. I'm in NC & go from Charlotte to Raleigh to see my PM MD... it's worth the trip! To ALL... PLEASE find better doctors because you will DIE waiting for help through ANY of the so-called pain mgmt."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Sublocade is the best option and highly consider. I was using 24-32 mg Subutex a day and the shot worked immediately. The next morning, I did not wake up sick, just felt awkward reaching for pills in which I did not need. The habit of taking medication to not feel sick was the best feeling to break. Literally a month goes by, and my doctor has to remind me about my next appointment. I think Sublocade is more stable with no ups and downs. Most people still want to feel high and when they don’t, they think they are sick, but it’s in their head. If anything, the doses are strong for low dose Sub users. I actually feel normal like the Subs were supposed to work. They say traces can stay in the system for a year. I have heard of a few people wean off successfully. I am hesitant to get off. Medicaid even covers it, so you can go every day to a methadone clinic to still get high or get a shot once a month and gain clarity."

For Chronic Pain "I've been on Subutex for about nine years and have been taking it for off-label use for chronic pain. I'm kind of a split case because due to chronic pain and overprescribing pain medication, my new doctor at the time decided he wanted to try Subutex with me. This medicine has improved my quality of life beyond any other modality that I've tried. The only thing I will warn other people about is if you stay on the medicine for a long time and decide you want to stop taking it, it affects your brain chemistry so much that you may not recognize yourself. This happened to me and the lights just went out. I was sick for weeks but more than that I couldn't think straight and made terrible decisions. Not until I was placed back on my medication at a very low dose did I regain my sense of self. I think I may be on this medication forever."

For Chronic Pain "I have RSD/CPRS Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) or AKA Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). I also have diabetic foot neuropathy. Pain had me screaming out loud. My doctor put me on oxycodone 10/325 mg. It did not alleviate the pain. I was bedridden. The doctor could not prescribe opioids. He switched me to Tramadol. I got a new doctor. On the way to her, I began to shake and twitch. I went to the ER. I have no memory of the hospital. I had a mini-stroke. I was sleep deprived & had a UTI without any symptoms. The new doctor put me in pain management. He put me on Belbuca. Being in pain, you will try anything to get relief. I started with 75mg for 1 week and increased to 150mg in the 2nd week. I can sleep at night. I do not wake up in great pain. I have no side effects. I do not experience a sense of being high. I do not like placing the tabs in my jaw, but the relief is well worth it. I have read the reviews, and I'm sorry it did not work for some people. It works for me. I get to have my quality of life back. That's a blessing all by itself."

For Opiate Dependence - Maintenance "I was on Suboxone for 4 or 5 years without even thinking of going back to heroin. However, occasionally I would take an extra or even two extra! I knew that it didn’t even do anything or get me high, but I did it anyway. When I heard of Sublocade, I thought to myself that this was my answer to finally not be dependent on the pills! The first couple of days I went through “withdrawal,” but I believe it was in my head. Then, a few months in (maybe 5), my friend asked me, “wouldn’t you be able to just stop getting it and it would slowly take you down?” and I was like, “uhhhh idk?” Lol, but I couldn’t stop wondering. One month I decided to stop getting it, and I could always go back if need be. That was in October or November of last year, and knock on wood, I’m still good... absolutely no withdrawal. I’ll update if it happens though."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I got my life back with Sublocade. I am that guy that couldn’t take my tablets or strips correctly. I struggled for years, using my docs as my new dealers. I even had one teach me how to beat the system. After years of playing the system, everything was catching up to me. I was about to lose everything, and then I found a real doctor, one that wouldn’t play my game, that held me to a standard. He also got me on Sublocade, and it has been my saving grace. I live life now! It took a couple of weeks, but it was pretty fast. All of my relationships are top notch, and I actually have real friends again. My wife and I are back in tune with one another and enjoying every day together. I recommend this to anyone that needs help."

For Chronic Pain "I have many different problems. I broke my lower back, my pelvis in twelve different places, my pubic bone, and many other things. Also, I have a titanium rod in my left femur. All due to a wreck I was in 2012. I have been through multiple surgeries. SI joint injection (which made my pain 10 times worse). Many different medications. Nothing has worked. But Belbuca has made an amazing difference in my pain. I also get nerve block shots and just recently had my nerves in my back cauterized. This, along with Belbuca, has made me feel alive again. Yes, I still have daily pain. Yes, I still wake up popping, cracking, and groaning from pain. But I take my medication, and my pain level goes from a 9/10 to 4/5 pretty fast. Couldn't be happier!"

For Chronic Pain "My pain management doctor prescribed me this awful expensive medication that was supposed to take away my pain. I have psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia. I took it and it made me feel horrible. I was in bed all day and had to call off of work because I was in excruciating pain. It just made me want to sleep. I could not believe the price and I could only afford two patches for $29. My prescription was for 100 at $566. He prescribed me 300mcg and I will never take it again. I take hydrocodone to control my pain which works for me. I don't want to go on anything stronger so he tried this out and obviously I would give it a zero if that was an option. Everybody is different but I would not purchase the entire prescription without trying one or two patches before you spend that kind of money on it. I read the reviews and I tried it anyway and I would have to agree with the bad reviews."

For Pain "So, I am on Belbuca at 150 mcg twice a day for pain. I can't actually tell that I am taking it. In other words, it is doing nothing for my pain. I also have to say the packaging can't be opened without scissors! And the little patch doesn't stay in place once you get it in your mouth."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I am now on my 4th shot, it’s been so amazing! No withdrawals or cravings. I can get up every day and live my life as normal as one can, no pain too. The Sublocade shot has given me peace of mind, no more worry about if my meds are going to be in stock or no more worrying about insurance if it’s going to be covered or if I need a prior authorization. People, take it from me, the needle poke doesn’t hurt, it’s the medicine going in that then it starts to burn a little. Nothing I can’t handle though. I’ve been on subs since 2011 straight, being on 20mg daily. This shot has given me comfort when I switched. The more shots you get, the higher blood plasma that the medicine will be in your body. The 300mg shot is equivalent to about 24mg sublingual films. I hope this helps."
