For Opioid Use Disorder "I hate this medicine so much. I was a heroin addict for 2 and a half years and I stopped by taking suboxone. I’ve been taking suboxone for about 7 months and it worked perfectly fine. But then I lost half my script and when I went to the doctor to figure out what to do, he said he would prescribe me Zubsolv for the remaining amount of time cause he said the pharmacy wouldn’t prescribe be suboxone again. Zubsolv has been making me feel like I’m wired, but not in a good way, giving me horrible headaches, nausea, and making my BP go up so high and I don’t know why it’s doing this. I still have a week to go taking it and this is literally pure torture."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I started taking suboxone twelve years ago( 2006) and initially I was prescribed four 8mg tablets a day (32mg) which in all honesty was too much. I had a nearly a 30 year heroin addiction and have the same war stories everyone else has with their addiction. I stayed on the suboxone up until three years ago when my insurance no longer covered them and was switched to Zubsolv pills. I started taking one 5.7 tab and then two 1.4 tablets a day. I once tried to wean myself off of the suboxone and did fairly good getting down to a 2mg piece. When I looked at how small a 2mg piece is I had the brilliant idea that since it was so small of a piece I could just stop, never been more wrong about anything in my life!! Now that I've been on the Zubsolv for three years, I've asked my PCP to start titrating off of them and have gotten down to just the one 5.7mg and one .70mg tablet and feel fine."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was addicted to heroin in high doses for almost a year and was unsuccessfully trying to get clean the whole time, getting all the way through cold turkey detox and relapsing once I felt better and the cravings took hold. I'd taken suboxone in the past but only because it got me REALLY high and not as a maintenance med. After a week clean with immense cravings I started on Zubsolv maintenance and have had almost zero cravings since. I much prefer the taste and dissolve time to subs, however I do find that if I sleep in too long and don't take my morning dose on time I wake up very sick and start vomiting (extremely painful vomiting at that) until my dose kicks in after 30-60 minutes. I still highly recommend it, I have my life back!!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I took Zubsolv 5.7mg (2/day, #60 tabs per month) and this is no where near the same dose as the strips, I'm sorry but I don't buy it. I never woke up in sweat from Suboxone strips like I do when I take Zubsolv (I need to take another half in the evenings because they don't last as long) and it certainly is a sucky drug. I have state funded health insurance (it doesn't cover many name brands) either and use their coupon but it is still SO expensive! $211 after the coupon for one box, or $496 for both boxes. If you need 3 boxes, forget it! My Suboxone film is $12 cheaper per box with their own coupon. I gave Zubsolv more than a shot, I put up with it for several months!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on and off suboxone for years from taking pain pills for bad neck pain and headaches. I was doing great for a few months until my doctor prescribed me Zubsolv 2 months ago. I noticed immediately I felt withdrawal symptoms and shortly afterwards I stated having stomach problems. I gradually became deathly ill and have been in and out of the ER 3 times with all kinds of GI problems along with a feeling of gas pains all over from my feet, head to my hands. Bad headache, trouble breathing, blurred vision, cannot think clearly, depression and so on. I think there is something else in Zubsolv that is doing this as I have racked my brain with how this all started. I have episodes of delirium and feel like I'm not going to make it."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was prescribed Zuboxone but my insurance covered Zubsolv instead. From the first time I felt tremors and told my Dr. He prescribed increasing the dosage and it got worse. It felt like I was trembling from my core along with anxiety. I just was switched to buprenorphine alone and can't believe how much improved I am. I wouldn't recommend Zubsolv."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been switched to zubsolv from suboxone 8 mg so far I am not feeling as fatigued as I use to on the suboxone. The effects of the zubsolv do hit you faster. However I am worried about how long the medicine will last I am afraid it won't last as long as my suboxone strip did."

"I've been using suboxone 8's for about 4 years now. Recently my insurance required me to switch to subsolv(5.7). With the exception of keeping the physical dependant withdrawals at bay this hasn't helped with the Intense chronic pain much at all. It's been just a week now and I'm not impressed. I had decided to continue trying through a full month to give it a fair trial, but I am pretty much already regretting it. I hurt and it's not doing the job. Maybe this is far more successful in the opioid repentance fight, but as help with my crazy intense chronic nerve pain it's not worth it. All I can say is no wonder it's so much less expensive. Not worth the switch for me."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Ok my wife has been on this zobsolv for over a week now. At first it seemed, to help her yesterday she woke up with a rash on her lower arms. She has gotten really depressed her anxiety has gone thru the roof she snaps back at the slightest things. It is not helping with her cravings, its seems the longer she takes it the further my wife becomes a different person she was doing pain pills. I'm starting to think it was better she stayed on the pain pills. Has anyone else heard of anything like this before I'm at a lost for words and idk what i need to do or what to do at this point other than start cutting her dosages down and ween her of this garbage......"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I had been prescribed to suboxone for about 1 year. I heard about zubsolv at my doctors office and found out it was much cheaper than suboxone. My doctor wrote me a per scription for zubsolv( 5.7 ). I stayed on zubsolv for about 1 month. It tastes nasty but will dissolve in about 5 minutes. Zubsolv didn't even compare to suboxone, it actually made me feel horrible."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was on suboxone strips which was working great for over a year then new insurance put me on zubsolv and the body aches started, constant yawning, then diarrhea. Feels like withdrawals all over again it is miserable and it hurting me at work always tired. Now I pay $650 for my suboxone a month out of my pocket cause insurance covers only some rubbish placebo. Do not recommend can put you back to square one."

For Opioid Use Disorder "Am experiencing considerable difficulty getting Zubsolv to dissolve under my tongue. After 15 minutes there is still a considerable amount under my tongue and I’m struggling to keep it from moving around my mouth and not on top of my tongue , back of tongue or attaching to cheek of mouth. Have used several other under tongue dissolving medications ( not opioid related) and Never experienced any difficulties with any other under tongue dissolving medication"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been suffering with opiate addiction my whole life having been to 9 different rehabs in 9 years. Always relapsed. I have been sober since starting zubsolv a year and a half ago. No cravings, no side effects. I hate that I have to take a pill every day (2x a day) but I have a life again. after reading these comments, it seems like the only people who hate zubsolv are the ones that started off with suboxen and switched to this. from my experience, suboxen withdrawals are just as bad as or worse than heroin withdrawals, so I would guess that suboxen is just stronger or has different chemical make up (that I personally wouldn't trust) and that zubsolv doesn't exactly match up with."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I am on day 3 of zubsolv and I'm still in precipitated withdrawal. I started on Sunday like the doctor told me too. I was on methadone for two years, my highest dose was 45mg. After doing the prove testing and telling them I wanted to switch to Suboxone because I know it works for me and it helped me get clean before, the doctor agreed to switch me, however my insurance doesn't cover suboxone because zubsolv won the bid for the insurance company. So with three days of taking this and basically being in withdrawal for the majority of those three days I can honestly say that I hate it. It wears off so fast, its like I'm ok for a few hours, but about 4 hours after I take it I'm in withdrawal. Its the worst withdrawal I've ever had."

"I was on suboxone for pain for 13 year's until my insurance would not pay for it any longer, they switched me to Zub's which taste a lot better. I have now been on this drug for 2 year's and want off of it because it does NOTHING for my pain. I am on Medicare and they only covered 60.00 of the cost and the price of my script was 400.00 which I can NOT afford. I broke my neck while in the service and the pain is constant. I have been taking 1 dose daily 2.5 mg, trying to ween myself off of the drug, and so far today I have not had any withdrawal symptom's as of yet but it takes about 36 hrs for it to really kick in so I am waiting to see if I have any problem's. This drug is great for short term use to get off opiate's but if you take it for pain management you will find yourself just as addicted to this as the drug you were trying to get off of. I HATE this drug and it has become the bane of my life . I only hope that i can handle the withdrawal ."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was taken off of Suboxone and put on Zubsolv and it was terrible. They tell you more of the medicine is absorbed so the actual mg is lower than Suboxone or Subutex. I was ok during the day but, by the time bed time rolled around, I felt the affects of the medicine wearing off. I even kept it in my mouth for 20 minutes. Still didn't last very long. I'm now taking Subutex and feel much better! Didn't work for me, may work for some!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Zubs for about a year. I was on subs the year before that while living in buffalo. When I moved to rochester I got switched to Zubs because the subs were not showing good numbers in my system meaning it wasn't dissolving correctly and doing what it's supposed to. My insurance didn't cover zubs so my new doctor told them subs werent working blah blah blah and I ended up getting covered for them. I am constipated every day and it's very hard to poo so I have to drink miralax every other day which I ALWAYS FORGET TO DO. So that's my own fault. Overall everything is fine no drugs for 2 years now besides my zubs. I make about 15 to 25 dollars an hour depending on what position I'm working at my job. And I'm a trainer. zubs saved my life. They work if you don't abuse them."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I hate this stuff. Once over withdrawals, may as well be off it. Still crave narcotics every day and if I was able to get vicodin, wouldn't be on this stuff. Now I'm fat, constipated, zero energy and miserable. About cry every day. Can't afford therapy and NA doesn't want anyone on this stuff since not considered clean."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I feel like Zubsolv puts you into withdrawal too fast and that's after splitting mine up to 4x a day even. Suboxone never did this I could go hours past my typical dosing time and not even realize the time had passed. It does taste better but personally I feel it is less effective. I miss suboxone I feel like the Zubsolv is making me irritable and I bet its because I'm withdrawing even though they claim this is the same dose as far as what's absorbed. if that's true then I wouldn't feel this way. I have to stay on it though because with the copay card you can Google and print off it is costing me $0 which is so much better than $186 a month!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I'm on Zubsolve for the first month. I was prescribed 5.7 mg 1 and a half times a day. I tried that dose, and almost went into full withdrawals. I've been taking 12 mg of Suboxone strips for a year now. And all of a sudden my insurance wanted me to switch. Today is day 22 and I've used all my meds. I left a message with my Doc and have not heard back yet. I wouldn't recommend this med to anyone. I'm in full withdrawal right now, and I'm going to a new doc on Friday. Please say no to it, I've been fine on 12 mg of suboxone until now!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've not not had a good experience thus far. I have to pay cash because its not covered by my insurance and Zubsolv is CRAZY expensive ($28.00 for 1 pill). I'm not eligible to use their discount cards because I have Medicaid, although Medicaid isn't paying for a single portion of my RX. Orexo (Zubsolv manufacturer) must not want people on their medication bc of the cost and unwillingness to help with discounts due to stipulations. I'll be forced to switch back to buprenorhine tablets $164.00 a month"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been taking zubsolve for awhile now! I will not take suboxone, the film and the tabs make me sick. This is a minty pill that actually tastes good. And my insurance covers it 100%. Without it I have no energy. I don’t so much have cravings anymore. This is my second time on this. It’s been 6 months since I’ve had some. I tapered down. Well my doc put me on the 5. Whatever milligram twice a day. Mainly for pain management, for some reason it helps. I’ve only taken 2 pills, one last night and 1 this morning. I’m so dizzy. I’ve never felt this way with this. I also take adderall and Wellbutrin. I know it’s not the adderall because I’ve been on that combo before for years. The pharmacist said it doesn’t have a interaction with Wellbutrin. What could it be? I feel like I’m gonna pass out"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been taking Zubsolv for a few months now for opioid dependency. Two main side effects I have from taking this medication is that it makes me nauseous and tastes like metal. I absolutely hate taking this medication, it makes it hard for me to want to stay clean. And the Suboxone gives me an allergic reaction. Wish there was an easier way to get clean."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was addicted to buying pain pills from the streets for 8 years, after doctor initially prescribed them for me for 2 years and then cut me off cold turkey. Total of 10 years. October 2019 I was finally able to break free. It took me 3 weeks to get to see a certified doctor to prescribe me suboxone, which for 3 weeks I was buying off the street also. 1 strip a day of suboxone for 3 weeks and I was doing great. Finally get in to see doctor and tell her my story. She decided to put me on Zubsolv instead even though I told her I was feeling good with one strip a day. Started out at 5.7 MG Zubsolv for a week. Now I’m not feeling as good as I was previous 3 weeks so explain to doctor following week my symptoms. I get bumped up to 8.6 MG a day Zubsolv. Better, but still not masking my symptoms for 24 hours. Now I went back to doctor third time in 3 weeks, got me back down to 5.7 mgs 1 and half times a day. Arghh!!!"
