For Opioid Use Disorder "I've used heroin for 2 years. After one year, it became an everyday thing. I was so hooked and scared to stop using, as the withdrawals were horrible - it made me so scared not to have heroin. Being so tired of wasting money and disappointing my family, I got the courage to call a doctor I found from suboxone.com. He prescribed Zubsolv. After a week on Zubsolv, I woke up one morning feeling in such a good mood. I felt like I didn't need any more opiates in my life and have so many more goals in life now! And I can actually see me progressing in life and having the good things it offers... DON'T BE SCARED TO GET HELP, JUST DO IT!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "It is great for opiate addiction withdrawal, and to stay off opiates. You do not have withdrawal and do not feel the opiate high while taking. I took Suboxone for 6 years and Zubsolv for 2. I have been off all for just over 3 weeks and finally starting to feel normal. I do have to tell you it can get your life back together, but at some point, you will want to stop. Withdrawal is just as bad stopping Zubsolv as opiates. The first 9 days for me were horrible, and I knew what I was in for. Not to discourage anyone, but hang in there, it will get better. You may feel like time has stopped for a couple of weeks, but for what it's worth, you'll be free and clean."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was in a horrid motorcycle accident and ended up having to take almost 8 10 mg Norco a day to feel good/normal. I went to a doctor who told me the Norcos were causing the pain now, and I needed to get off. Skeptical but hopeful, I tried the doc's plan. The first 3 days I was on Subutex, which I started as soon as my withdrawals started, and it took 2 pills before my withdrawals stopped after about 10 minutes. I continued on that dose for 2 more days and then started Suboxone strips, and after about 6 months, my doc switched me to Zubsolv. I cut down Zubsolv, as tolerable, from 2 pills a day to a quarter pill, then quit. 4 days later, I think I'm feeling a lot better, but I still need more time to normalize. Hope this helps!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I switched to Zubsolv after being on Suboxone for 3 months. They are so much better. I'm not sure if people understand the dosing, though. It's not a lower dose than Suboxone. Zubsolv has a higher concentration, therefore, the 5.7/1.4 is equal to the 8/2. The two medications are identical, except Zubsolv tastes a lot better and dissolves faster. I, like most of us, was a very heavy user, and I don't start to feel withdrawal symptoms after taking my Zubsolv for at least 3 days. I didn't read through all the posts, but the few I did, the people were still using, so of course, you're going to experience withdrawal faster... you're still using!!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "Recovering opiate addict that I got into while in college. Came back home to a world of pain, but after treatment, got started on Suboxone. Went fairly well, then insurance wanted us to switch to Zubsolv. It’s pretty much the same, but DO NOT try and go cold turkey off these meds. They will send you into the worst withdrawal of your life, worse than oxy 80mg a day for months kind of stuff. They have really helped me get my life back, and if you play by the rules and work the system, you will get better. Trust the process and want to get better. We are all with you :)"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been taking Suboxone for about 5 years, buying them from a friend. She tends to oversell her extras, and at least a few times per year, I end up in withdrawal when I run out. I finally went to a doctor to get my own script, but since my insurance doesn't cover Suboxone, he put me on Zubsolv. So far, I feel fine. My only issue is the pill form. I was taking 4 mg of Sub a day, half of an 8 mg film. Now I'm taking half of a 5.7 mg Zubsolv tablet, which means cutting the tab in half. I've accidentally crushed half and had to scoop it up and get it under my tongue, which worries me because I'm afraid I'm losing some of it this way. The taste is actually better, like a breath mint. I miss the strips, but I'm keeping an open mind!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on Suboxone for several years, first for addiction to pain pills, now for pain management. I was switched to Zubsolv for insurance reasons, and I was in withdrawals in 3 hours. I don't understand why or how most of these people on here say it works for them, but for me, it has been awful! Why do the drug and insurance companies have to mess with something that is working!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "This medicine saved my life. I was on it for 2 years and just finished 3 months ago. The withdrawal was mild due to how I tapered off. My only issue with it was the withdrawal symptoms seemed to last slightly longer than your standard pain pill type medication. But I would highly recommend it, just make sure you’re ready to commit to this medicine. Anyone that’s taking this or Suboxone needs to taper properly or you’ll have a really bad time."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been using oxy for over a year and a half daily for the last 3 months. I knew I needed help to get off of these drugs, and so I went to seek help from a doctor. He prescribed me Zubsolv... and after 15 hours of being in withdrawal, I took my first dose and went hard into precipitated withdrawal. The doctor was sure that enough time had passed using the Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS method), but maybe I have a slow metabolism?!? It was terrible for the first 24 hours. However, I am now finishing up my second day on the medication, taking two pills a day, and my withdrawal symptoms are gone. I still feel very achy in my joints and just have been lying in bed, but this medication has really given me hope that I can stay strong and off of using. Give it a chance!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I have been on and off Suboxone for years from taking pain pills for bad neck pain and headaches. I was doing great for a few months until my doctor prescribed me Zubsolv 2 months ago. I noticed immediately I felt withdrawal symptoms and shortly afterward I started having stomach problems. I gradually became deathly ill and have been in and out of the ER 3 times with all kinds of GI problems, along with a feeling of gas pains all over from my feet, head to my hands. Bad headache, trouble breathing, blurred vision, cannot think clearly, depression, and so on. I think there is something else in Zubsolv that is doing this as I have racked my brain with how this all started. I have episodes of delirium and feel like I'm not going to make it."

"I was on Suboxone for pain for 13 years until my insurance would not pay for it any longer. They switched me to Zubsolv, which tastes a lot better. I have now been on this drug for 2 years and want off of it because it does nothing for my pain. I am on Medicare, and they only covered $60.00 of the cost, and the price of my script was $400.00, which I cannot afford. I broke my neck while in the service, and the pain is constant. I have been taking 1 dose daily, 2.5 mg, trying to wean myself off of the drug, and so far today I have not had any withdrawal symptoms as of yet, but it takes about 36 hours for it to really kick in, so I am waiting to see if I have any problems. This drug is great for short-term use to get off opioids, but if you take it for pain management, you will find yourself just as addicted to this as the drug you were trying to get off of. I hate this drug, and it has become the bane of my life. I only hope that I can handle the withdrawal."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been taking Suboxone for many years now. I continue it for maintaining my pain relief. What I would like to say is... Generic Suboxone is not the same. I've been having withdrawal symptoms, and my anxiety has soared through the roof. Here is a copy of what the generic Zubsolv had to say: 'There are some preferential differences between Suboxone and Zubsolv, such as taste and dosage forms. Zubsolv also has improved bioavailability, which allows the user to absorb the buprenorphine and put it to use more easily. As a result, there is a lower opioid content in a dose of Zubsolv than in a dose of Suboxone.' So, those who say 'it's the same' rubbish, it's not."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I was on Suboxone strips, which were working great for over a year. Then new insurance put me on Zubsolv, and the body aches started, constant yawning, then diarrhea. Feels like withdrawals all over again. It is miserable and it hurts me at work, always tired. Now I pay $650 for my Suboxone a month out of my pocket, because insurance covers only some rubbish placebo. Do not recommend, can put you back to square one."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I am on day 3 of Zubsolv, and I'm still in precipitated withdrawal. I started on Sunday like the doctor told me to. I was on methadone for two years, my highest dose was 45 mg. After doing the prove testing and telling them I wanted to switch to Suboxone because I know it works for me and it helped me get clean before, the doctor agreed to switch me. However, my insurance doesn't cover Suboxone because Zubsolv won the bid for the insurance company. So, with three days of taking this and basically being in withdrawal for the majority of those three days, I can honestly say that I hate it. It wears off so fast, it's like I'm okay for a few hours, but about 4 hours after I take it, I'm in withdrawal. It's the worst withdrawal I've ever had."

For Opioid Use Disorder "First, I would like to state that I've read the comments and reviews on Zubsolv in this thread, and I have to say that I think the positive reviews are BS. I think the pharmaceutical company paid people to write the reviews. Zubsolv is horrible! Three hours after taking my dose, I go into full-blown withdrawal. I'm in a long-term treatment center, and everyone who has switched from Suboxone to Zubsolv mirrors what I'm saying. No matter what is being said, the buprenorphine in Zubsolv is not the same as Suboxone. Zubsolv is great if you want to be in withdrawal all day. Thanks, but no thanks."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been on subs off and on for years. My insurance recently made me switch to Zubsolv, and it SUCKS!! I feel like I'm in withdrawal most of the day. It has some good effects, it dissolves quicker and I'm not as constipated, but as far as being better than subs, no way. I feel like I'm constantly craving one all day almost, and if you don't take it at the same time every day, you're sick as hell until you do...."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I feel like Zubsolv puts you into withdrawal too fast, and that's after splitting mine up to 4x a day, even. Suboxone never did this, I could go hours past my typical dosing time and not even realize the time had passed. It does taste better, but personally, I feel it is less effective. I miss Suboxone, I feel like the Zubsolv is making me irritable, and I bet it's because I'm withdrawing, even though they claim this is the same dose as far as what's absorbed. If that's true, then I wouldn't feel this way. I have to stay on it though, because with the copay card you can Google and print off, it is costing me $0, which is so much better than $186 a month!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I've been prescribed Suboxone in the past, and it always worked. Although I wasn't too happy when I started to feel physically reliant (and because I was not forewarned by anyone). My new doctor wrote me a script for Zubsolv. My sub dosage was 16 mg daily (2 8 mg strips). The first day on Zubs was horrible, I was in full withdrawal with no effect. I even took double what was prescribed because I thought it might be that, and it was low to begin with (just 2 5.7 mg tabs per day), and with no prevail. I suffered for 3 straight days, it did not work at all. Finally, on day 3, I felt some relief, but I'm sure it's just because I was through the worst of my detox. I would not recommend this to anyone for the sole reason it's not worth the risk. It could make you relapse."

For Opioid Use Disorder "So it's great to hear everyone being able to swap so easily, but I've been on subs for over 15 years, they saved my life. Then insurance changes have forced me to go back to Zubsolv again, and in less than a week, I had dilated pupils, couldn't sleep, all the typical withdrawal symptoms. I went from 1 and a half 8 mg strips a day to the supposedly equivalent 5.7 Zubs. So my doctor was like, listen, their whole thing is a marketing ploy to be able to sell the meds cheaper. He swapped me to the 8.2s, and I finally felt the same again. So maybe I have a crazy fast metabolism or something, but I can tell you I've had to do this twice, and both times had to be bumped up to the Zub mgs closer to the 8 mg strips, and that worked for me. Regardless of what the internet tells you, they do not have any different bioavailability than the strips, that's nonsense. Otherwise, I wouldn't get this sick every time I've been forced to switch."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I'll be 100% real. Zubsolv is terrible. They claim that Zubs and subs are the same strength, however, that is not true. When coming off/withdrawing, SWIM can usually take a half to 3/4 of an 8mg strip of subs (possibly a full strip if SWIM's relapse is bad enough) and then they will feel fine. However, they recently tried ZUBSOLV with the directions of only needing to take one every so many hours. After waiting the correct amount of time, SWIM took the Zubsolv as instructed and soon after, the withdrawals came. After waiting an hour and a half, the withdrawals had emerged with full-on sweats, vomiting, etc., so they took a second one, and after about another hour, the vomiting had stopped, yet cold sweats and shaking were still present. It wasn't until after a third Zub was taken that my friend was even able to take a deep breath and finally sit up straight and not have to be in the restroom. And yet, still had sleepless nights. Finally went back to subs and after a half of one, had no complaints. So if you're thinking about switching, don't. The taste may be better, but wow, who cares what it tastes like? It's about being able to function without withdrawals and without cravings. So all in all, don't waste your time, your health, your money, and your sanity on ZUBSOLV."

For Opioid Use Disorder "I'm on Zubsolv for the first month. I was prescribed 5.7 mg one and a half times a day. I tried that dose and almost went into full withdrawals. I've been taking 12 mg of Suboxone strips for a year now. And all of a sudden, my insurance wanted me to switch. Today is day 22, and I've used all my meds. I left a message with my doc and have not heard back yet. I wouldn't recommend this med to anyone. I'm in full withdrawal right now, and I'm going to a new doc on Friday. Please say no to it, I've been fine on 12 mg of Suboxone until now!"

For Opioid Use Disorder "I feel like this is a miracle for me. I can't believe how well I'm functioning since having stopped daily heroin use. I started with my first dose of Zubsolv about 5 hours after my final use of heroin. I was feeling at least 3 of my usual withdrawal symptoms before I took the first dose. I was amazed by my 3rd day that I felt like I did prior to starting heroin. I felt great!"
