"Mirvaso has really made a difference for me, and I'm honestly shocked by the poor reviews. I have a history of terrible, lifelong acne. Even after using Accutane, I still had a lot of redness. My current acne/rosacea meds: Oracea, Atralin cream in the PM, and in the AM, Mirvaso for face and Onexton gel for acne around the jawline. It might seem like a lot, but it beats going on another round of Accutane or adding more pills. I have VERY sensitive skin, so when I first started using Mirvaso, I only did a tiny drop mixed in with my daily face moisturizer. My derm did not tell me to do this, this was from reviews read online. I very gradually got my skin used to this, and after 1 year, I still love it. I get minimal rebound redness, but I do use it every day."

"It took me a long time before I had the courage to use this product. My doctor mentioned Mirvaso to me. I wanted to find out more about it and began researching. After reading all of the horrible reviews, I was very scared to even try this. But I was also tired of my red, and makeup does not cover well. I was desperate and decided to give it a try. After the first couple of days, I was amazed. Though I kept waiting for the bad to come. So far, my face has done pretty good. The Mirvaso takes away most of the red. For once, my face looks like it used to before I had rosacea. The huge downfall is it only lasts for about 6 hours. I hope they can improve and make its effectiveness last a lot longer."

"I only used Mirvaso once. I applied a pea-sized amount to my mild rosacea. It did not take long for the medicine to work, although it made the redness go away, my skin was very pale and discolored looking. About 10 hours later, I had a terrible flare-up, and my cheeks were more red than they have ever been. I do not recommend this product. It is a waste of money. My facial redness is worse from using this product and has not gone down since I used it."

"First and last time I will use this rubbish stuff called Mirvaso. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. If you want your face to look like a pomodoro (or bright red tomato!), then please do use this, that's how bad a rash you'll get."

"I have no idea how the FDA approved this cream. It LITERALLY BURNS AND BLISTERS YOUR FACE. I always make sure I read the side effects on medications, and this one explicitly said there were 'NO COMMON SIDE EFFECTS,' only 'RARE SIDE EFFECTS.' The cream would work for maybe 5 hours tops before my entire face would start sweating and become increasingly red. At night, I would lay in bed with an ice pack on my face because my skin left my sheets burning hot. After a couple of weeks, I woke up, and my face felt scaly and had hundreds of tiny bumps, which turned out to be blisters. I literally wanted my old rosacea face back because it looked and felt like I had stuck my face in the sun and shook it around with this medication. Avoid at all costs."

"I was given a sample by my dermatologist and decided to give Mirvaso a try for a couple of weeks before purchasing. After a week, I noticed that my facial skin would start tingling, then turn bright red! It has now been 4 days since I discontinued using the product, and fortunately, the brightness is finally starting to fade back to where it was before I started using this product. The episodes of tingling skin have occurred less and less frequently. Bummed that the product did not work!"

"I first thought Mirvaso was effective, but it actually increased the redness of flushing and made my skin even hotter. After two weeks of trying it, I have stopped using it and hope my rosacea goes back to what it was before, which was not good, but better than after using Mirvaso."

"I ordered Mirvaso from an online pharmacy, thinking it would calm my facial redness in a healthy way, like many websites say. I put on a pea-sized amount, and within 15 minutes my redness had almost gone. I was very happy and hopeful until my face gradually got paler and started to feel unnatural. I then went online and read reviews on this website and saw the horror stories, I panicked and washed it off after 2 hours. My chest felt very tight, and my arms and hands felt shivery. I didn’t know whether I was panicking or if it was the gel, but I think it was a mixture of both. It’s the morning after now, and my face is redder than it was before, which I am really hoping will calm down soon. My advice is to not try Mirvaso at all, but also don’t panic after reading reviews, wash it off, and don’t use it again."

"Awful product! Was prescribed it by my dermatologist, who said I had rosacea. Does remove all redness in less than 20 minutes, but my face starts flushing hardcore after 10 hours when the product stops working. The whole time I used it, I thought my rosacea had gotten worse and worse, so I applied it daily instead of only occasionally. Stopped the cream after one month to see what would happen, and in two days my face went back to normal, and I don't even have rosacea anymore. Just a reaction to coffee. Bad doctor and bad drug. Stay away!"

"Never, never, never use this cream!! It doesn't help in any way!!!! I'm so angry and disappointed because my face is extremely red after this cream!! I finished my 6 months of Accutane and went to my derm because I have little red blemishes from acne. He gave me samples of this cream. I applied it at night. In the morning, my face was like snow. I haven't seen my face like that before, but closer to the evening, my face turned bright red. Now it's the second day after this cream, and my face is still red. I'm extremely disappointed in this cream! I want to sue the Mirvaso company!! How can people make such harmful products for the face?!"

"I've had mild rosacea for nearly 10 years. This is by far the best product to take the redness away, albeit temporarily. It is important that you use this product properly. Once a day and ideally at the same time every day. I use it in the mornings when I wake up, and I combine it with Metrosa gel in the evenings. If not used in the right way, back flushes of redness can occur, but I have managed this by using both medications in a regimented manner. Metrosa on its own doesn't seem to do much, but together with Mirvaso, the pair work brilliantly."

"Like most of you, I have a red face. Especially when I go from cold to hot and when eating food. I decided that I wanted to fix it as it can be embarrassing to go flush red over lunch. So I turned to my doctor, and he prescribed me Mirvaso gel. DO NOT EVER, EVER TRY THIS. I'd give it a 0 if I could. Even the price of it is disturbing. It does what it says on day 1, my face went all white, and I felt great. Day 2, I applied it as instructed, and after a couple of hours, my face went into meltdown mode. I got rebound redness, and my face was redder than it has ever been for hours. I stopped the treatment straight away, but for weeks after, I was still feeling the effects. My face would go burnt red to a point I couldn't leave the house, it was my lowest point. Please do not buy this garbage, it's a scam. It does not work, people like us have sensitive skin, and this stuff is so harsh it destroys it. I was going red in places it never went red before."

"I tried a tiny amount smaller than pea-sized on my forehead and cheeks one time and had the worst rebound flushing for several months. Finally, after 14 months of not using the drug, my face is getting back to the baseline pre-Mirvaso. I would hate to see how much damage this drug could do over long-term use if just one use wrecked my face for over a year. I would absolutely not recommend this for anyone, I'm actually surprised Galderma still even has this on the market."

"I have rosacea. A dermatologist that wasn't worth his weight in gold gave me this medicine to use. Before I did, I researched it and found terrible reviews. All in all, I figured my doctor knew what he was talking about and ignored everyone saying how bad it was. I put it on, and my rosacea went away, then, 40 minutes later, it was so bad my face burned and turned tomato red. I stopped using it after 4 days, and my face was permanently red for 5 days after using this product. I would have figured I was the only one with a bad reaction if other people didn't complain about it too. Please! Find another product to use!!! How many bad reviews does it need to steer you away?!!"

"I've been suffering from moderate rosacea for 6 years. I went to a new dermatologist, and she gave me several samples of Mirvaso. She told me to try it for at least 14 days. I put it on my cheeks every day but didn't notice any improvement in the redness. However, I continued as instructed by my dermatologist. Around day 10, I woke up to see that almost my entire face (not just my cheeks) was swollen and with a dark red color that I'd never seen on my skin before. Not even during my worst rosacea flare-ups was my skin this inflamed, red, and splotchy. I've tried aloe vera and chamomile tea on my face, but to no avail. I hope the redness subsides soon - I'm worried! And I'm calling my dermatologist - she should warn future patients!"

"I have been recently diagnosed with rosacea that makes my cheeks and under my eyes extremely hot! I just began using the expensive Mirvaso. It helps sometimes, doesn't last for very long. I'm in terrible discomfort. I'm still in hopes Mirvaso will soon help with my horrible burning sensation that makes life difficult, as a fan on my face constantly is my relief. I'm still going to give it time. Also praying. Please respond if anyone has had the hot burning sensation."

"I didn't have the severe side effects that some people had with this medication, but I did have so many more papules than usual. It didn't burn when I applied it, and it did reduce redness. I stuck with it for just over a week, and then I couldn't stand how bumpy my face was, so I stopped."

"Had beautiful skin. Spent life caring for it. Developed light flushing as a side effect from antibiotics. Went to the derm (as recommended online). Derm prescribed Mirvaso. With 1st use, it completely destroyed my life. My skin went dead pale, and my ears turned hot and red (didn't apply it to ears). 48 hours later, the entire face turned red (did not apply it to the entire face). Face began developing a rash, getting worse and worse for 3 months. For 3 months, have had a severe flushing disorder induced by Mirvaso (not better yet). All food caused flushing. Have health problems from weight loss. On a strict diet (there are 21 foods I am able to eat). Can't lie down. Lost job. Nerve pain in nose, jaw, gums, lips, eyes, ears. Burning soap in eyes feeling."

"The first few hours were a bliss, what happened afterward was a horror show. It turned my skin purple and increased my flushing. Not only physically, but psychologically distressing as well, as I was worried I had effectively made my condition worse. Luckily, the side effects subsided after a month (yes, a full month). Do not recommend."

"I didn't give Mirvaso a 0 or a 1 because it really does what it claims. I had mild rosacea, and it seriously took it away within 30 minutes to an hour. The effect lasts about 10-12 hrs, and even by the time I'm going to sleep, the returning pinkness is only very mild...but then in the morning, it's on fuego. I don't feel my face burning or anything, but it's redder than my original starting point. I kept with the Mirvaso for a few days because even with the seemingly stronger redness I would wake up with, the Mirvaso would always erase it like magic for 10-12 hrs. Eventually, the redness got so strong in the morning I stopped using it. It's been 3 days, and my face is still way redder than usual with a few pimples, which I usually don't get."

"After suffering from rosacea for as long as I could remember, I visited my doctor who gave me a sample pack of Mirvaso. As instructed, I applied it the following morning after my shower. I waited (as instructed) 5 to 10 minutes to then apply my moisturizer. I did the same for the next 3 days and was stunned and so impressed by the results! For the first time in years, I wasn't red! Unfortunately, on the fourth day, I became bright red in my T-zone and worse than I had ever been. I applied it again the next morning. My face was fantastic all day, but by 5:00 PM that night, my whole face was redder than ever before. I was in a shop, and the owner asked if I had high blood pressure (I don't) because I was so red! I have stopped using it."

"My dermatologist gave me samples of Mirvaso. I’m sure glad I didn’t pay for this horrible, damaging cream. Like others, it worked great for me at first. But the rebound has been absolutely awful - so much worse than the original redness. I really wish I had read reviews before trying it. Hopefully, others will be wiser than I and see all of these horror stories before suffering the same fate. If you’re thinking of trying Mirvaso, don’t! Just don’t."

"I was given a sample of Mirvaso by my dermatologist. I applied it in the morning, as directed, and my face instantly became extremely red where it had been applied. This redness continued the entire day. The following morning, the redness had subsided a bit, but my face was still redder than normal."

"I tried Mirvaso as recommended by my dermatologist. He gave me samples to try. The first few days using it, I was so excited. My face looked clear of redness and 'normal.' I loved what I saw and thought there was finally something out there that would combat the redness for good. After a few days at night when I washed off the medication, I noticed that my face looked redder than ever. It looked red like a tomato and a little swollen. I continued using the medication thinking it was my skin adjusting to it. Wrong! The redness only continued and got worse. I stopped using Mirvaso for good. Hopefully, others have a better outcome than I did."

"I'm 49, and I've had severe rosacea since I was 17. Nothing I've tried worked until I was prescribed Mirvaso a year ago. I am so happy this is the medicine that finally works! The only problem is my insurance carrier, for some stupid reason, considers this 'cosmetic' and won't cover it!"
