For Asthma, Maintenance "I have tried using the RediHaler 3 separate times. Each time, I get hoarse within 2 days! My mouth feels like it is full of cotton. I rinse well and even gargle with fresh water, but symptoms persist. QVAR 80 was terrific with a spacer. Now I will have to switch to Flovent, which was never as effective as QVAR 80. TEVA, you made a big mistake; your greed will cost you many customers. I suspect there may be a class action lawsuit in your future!!"

For Asthma, Maintenance "I've been using Qvar for about two weeks. I used Advair before for years, and though it was extremely effective in treating my asthma, it kept making me lose my voice, so my doctor suggested trying Qvar. I happen to be out of my Albuterol inhaler until I see my doctor later this week, so I'm experiencing Qvar with no backup system, and I find it to be very ineffective against my asthma. I'm using it twice a day, two puffs each time, as prescribed, and though it doesn't make my asthma worse, it doesn't appear to improve it either. Except for short spurts during the middle of the day, which might just be incidental. Anyway, I'm going to ask my doctor for another alternative to Advair because Qvar's just not working."

For Asthma, Maintenance "I pushed for Qvar since it was no longer on the formulary and considered an exception through my insurance. The old version was my go-to savior for controlling my asthma with no side effects. I found reviews here that confirm my suspicions, which is my inhaler stopped dispensing the medication properly. AFTER I’ve inhaled it, the powder starts to come out of the canister. I’m not sure how many days' worth of medication I’ve lost, and my copay is $50. I’m on a budget, so this is extremely worrisome. Now I’m not sure if I can afford to continue with it when I’m not getting my money’s worth. Also, it seems that the new version isn’t as effective as the old one, so I’m not sure if there has been an ingredient change or if it’s just the inefficient dispenser. I also noticed it caused hoarseness in my voice. Total disappointment, to say the least."
