Eliquis (apixaban) "I am 53, male. Diagnosed with Heart Failure, Fatal Arrhythmia, and Chronic Fatigue. (Since 2010) I have only been on Eliquis for 30 hours. Two 5mg doses twice a day. It’s a miracle pill for me. It’s cured my dangerously high BP. *I am currently seeing 94 over 78. It’s cured my episodes of Atrial Fibrillation. *No episodes within the last 24 hours. It’s cured my chronic fatigue. *It took between 6 and 8 hours, from the first dose to begin actually feeling the amazing improvement. I haven’t felt this good in nearly thirty years! *It is the result of one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a very very long time. I hope others are as fortunate as I am in treatment. It’s an incredible experience. Two big thumbs up!!"

Eliquis (apixaban) "I was prescribed Eliquis in March of 2022 due to having paroxysmal afib. I was diagnosed back in 2014 but was terrified of blood thinners due to all of the negative reviews, so I put it off. However, my experience has been very positive. I take the 5mg pills 2x a day and have not had any side effects at all, except for minimal gum bleeding the first week. In fact, multiple times I have asked if it's possible that it isn't working at all since I actually seem to have less bruising and bleeding than before. Doctors and nurses say I must be less clumsy than others, but that's not true at all. I also had surgery and stopped it for 3 days before and 2 days after with no problems at all. Every person's body is different and you may find this medicine works for you with few or no side effects. Also, Bristol Myers helps if you can't afford it, so the cost is no longer an issue."

Eliquis (apixaban) "First dose Eliquis Mar 25, final covid injection April 22, heart ablation May 6, then May 12 I could not walk. Have all symptoms mentioned in reviews I have read. The pain in the feet was unbelievable , bedridden for almost 4 months, spent 3 days in ER test after test, all come back clear ."

Eliquis (apixaban) "I have been on Eliquis for 4-6 months. I have had all good results. The only complaint I have is the price. I have been getting free samples from my doctor at this time. I have no drug insurance. I am 66 years old, have MS, RA, high BP, and atrial fibrillation. Taking Eliquis has not added to any of my problems. I no longer have pains in my chest area."

Eliquis (apixaban) "Just started and so far not bad. However this medicine company is all about making money. Overly priced and it's said because most insurance company's only cover a small portion of them cost. The average before deductible is 560 dollars for 30 2.5 milligrams pills. It's really not right how they hold your life hostage to get rich. You will lose your house after paying for this medicine. So many people are complaining about the price yet they still hold your life in their hand."

Eliquis (apixaban) "In 2018, I had awful experiences (side effects) with competitive blood thinner, Xarelto. In early February 2022, my Cardiologist prescribed Eliquis. What a difference! Even though twice the co-pay, absolutely worth the extra out-of-pocket expense."

"this medication apixaban is awful. I take 5mg twice a day it causes me dizziness several times a day though each bout only lasts for a second my fingers and body continue to tingle for several seconds afterwards not to mention the ringing in my ears. Additionally, I itch all over and have sores on my head. It has got to the point where I have just resigned from my job as a development manager as I felt uncomfortable on the occasions this happened when dealing with customer problems."

"I was put on apixaban in Jan 2016 after taking a few attacks of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation (PAF) I also have a small leak at mitral valve and will be on medication for life. I was also prescribed bisoprolol to lower BP. I felt terrible as if I had chains around my ankles and was dragging them every step I took. Read up on the 2 drugs but both had similar side effects so I went to my gp in 2017 and changed the bisoprolol to atenolol. I still the side effects so I have come to the conclusion that is was the Apixaban all along causing the problems. I get abdominal pain daily and get so breathless even doing the slightest thing. I can't go out shopping as I used to do as the breathlessness is awful. My gp said my oxygen levels were fine, but I feel as if there is a giant peg on my nose and cannot get a breath. It has been worse since COVID as the masks make me feel worse. The only good thing is that I haven't had any more AFib attacks since 2017 I wonder if half the 5 mg dose 2x day would help. I am a woman of 74."

Eliquis (apixaban) "I was diagnosed with aFib 2 years ago. Initially, my primary care physician prescribed eliquis. Initially, I said, I'm not taking that. When I researched it and what it prevents decided to. The cardiologist who performed the cardioversion told me that I can go off of it 9 months after the procedure but she said most people decide to stay on it. I'm 68 and Eliquis is the ONLY drug I take. I take 5mg twice per day. I have no ill effects from it. The aFib has not returned. I do have vein issues in my legs and that is another reason I'm staying on it."

"My 93 year old mother has had 2 respiratory problems in 3 months which required hospitalisation, firstly for 8 days because of a heart attack/atrial fibulation event and secondly for 3 days with more respiratory problems which were eventually diagnosed as being due to a Urinary Tract infection. During this second period she was put on APIXABAN 2.5 mg twice a day. She was discharged before any was administered by the hospital; I was given it and we started the next morning. She was in good shape when she left the hospital but steadily started to decline to the point where she was badly confused, incapable of walking, her speech was almost unintelligible, and her appetite has disappeared totally. She will not eat at all now"

"When I was on Eliquis for Afib that comes and goes, I developed terrible pain in both hips and both shoulders. I would wake up in the worst pain and could hardly walk. I had to go off it. Now I have been told I have bone on bone arthritis in my hip and need a replacement. I never had any of this until I went on Eliquis. All of it happened within the first year and a half that I was on it. I hate Eliquis. I believe it caused my arthritis!"

Eliquis (apixaban) "I have been diagnosed with palpitations and occasional afib. I was resistant to starting Eliquis, but after much research, I have been on it for a few weeks. I have not experienced any of the severe side effects others have described. Ultimately, my decision came down to this: Do I prefer to have a stroke or endure some potentially annoying side effects? I chose the latter. I’m only 66 and very active. For those considering taking themselves off Eliquis, please be aware you may be putting yourself at a greater risk of a stroke. I recommend getting an Apple Watch if you can, to monitor your heart rate, afib events, etc."

"I was on rivaroxaban, but had severe jaw pain as well as other side effects. So they changed me to apixaban. I then had most of the listed common side effects, but the most severe was toothache. I am now on warfarin, been off apixaban for 6 days but still have gastric stomach and toothache. Has anyone else had these side effects? Really need it to stop."

"I started this drug about two months ago as I have AF now for a few years, off and on. Two ablations were unsuccessful before getting a pacemaker. Dosage is 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg at night. I take Flecainide to try to control the AF. I am on BP medication and a few others as well as diabetes type 2. My heart doctor, on my last look at what my AF has been doing with the pacemaker download over the last few months, and because the AF is lasting longer and more frequent, he took me off the aspirin blood thinner and said I need an anti-blood clotting medication, which is Apixaban. So far so good as I have no side effects at all. I'm sure the Apixaban is not as bad as aspirin for digestive and stomach discomfort. I hope it stays this way. I am seventy-seven years old male. I have also had asthma all my life, which is my main concern. I won't know if my AF is getting better or worse until I see my heart surgeon again. I don't feel the AF, so I don't know it's happening."

"I had a heart attack and underwent an emergency double heart bypass. There were complications that left me in an induced coma for 17 days. This was three years ago. I was only 47 years old. I had a Defibrillator / Pacemaker fitted. Two weeks ago it activated. I had made a huge effort over the past three months to address my health. I lost 21kg in weight. I didn't crash diet but more so drank protein shakes and fruit. Then all of a sudden I kept feeling dizzy. I had lost a lot of energy. Even walking 100 metres was difficult. Then my Defibrillator activated. I was taken to hospital. My Defibrillator was adjusted and I was placed on Apixiban. Within hours I felt great."
