Fioricet (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine) for Headache "Fioricet is the only pill that stops my everyday headaches and neck pain. I also get aura, and it helps with that also. I’ve had headaches since I was a little girl. I’ve taken every drug in the book my neurologist and doctor prescribed it, and it has been a Godsend. I tried Excedrin, but with the color red of the pill I’m allergic, plus it barely helped. Thank you for making this drug! Thank you. Oh, I also took them while pregnant, and my children, who now are grown adults, are fine. Unfortunately, my one daughter has this curse."

For Headache "For me, it works very well for migraines. I read below where it caused someone else a seizure. First time I've ever heard that before. Perhaps they had a rare allergic reaction or mixed it with something else that was not compatible. This drug has been around a long time. It works very well for me. I used to get migraines before my periods, and it worked great. I would take 1 or 2 pills as needed. Later on, after I was postmenopausal and went on bioidentical hormones (all natural and custom to what my body needs) and between treatments (lasts 3 to 4 months), I might get migraines before I am due for more hormone pellets, and I take the generic for Fioricet, and it works great. Never had any problems. I know of other people who have used it without any issues. So it works well for stress headaches or hormone headaches."

Fioricet (acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine) for Headache "I have taken this medication for approximately 25 years. Sometimes I go months without taking it if I do not wake up wanting or craving one. The dosage is two every four hours, I take one in a 24-hour period. Maybe I am not addicted to this. I cannot take NSAIDs, Aleve, Tylenol, or any of that, I’m allergic to it. Why can’t they just leave the Iris set on my list of medications? It’s the only thing that has ever worked besides a strong opiate, and I do not want to take one of those. It works fine for me. It always has. I’ve never had a problem with it. I know I’ve been taking it, as I said, forever, everything else I felt like I had to have water. It wasn’t going to go away with the fear that I do not feel like it works for me."
