Uses of Methylergonovine Tablets:

• It is used to stop or treat bleeding that happens after a birth.
• It may be given to you for other reasons. Talk with the doctor.

• If you have an allergy to ergonovine, methylergonovine, or any other part of this medicine (methylergonovine tablets).
• If you are allergic to this medicine (methylergonovine tablets); any part of this medicine (methylergonovine tablets); or any other drugs, foods, or substances. Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
• If you have high blood pressure.
• If you have toxemia.
• If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. Do not take this medicine (methylergonovine tablets) if you are pregnant.
• If you are breast-feeding. Do not breast-feed for at least 12 hours after getting this medicine (methylergonovine tablets).
• If you take any drugs (prescription or OTC, natural products, vitamins) that must not be taken with this medicine (methylergonovine tablets), like certain drugs that are used for HIV, infections, or depression. There are many drugs that must not be taken with this medicine (methylergonovine tablets). Your doctor or pharmacist can tell you if you are taking a drug that must not be taken with this medicine (methylergonovine tablets).

• If you drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit often, talk with your doctor.

Use this medicine (methylergonovine tablets) as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.

• Do not use this medicine (methylergonovine tablets) for more than 1 week unless told to do so by your doctor.

What do I do if I miss a dose?

• Take a missed dose as soon as you think about it.
• If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your normal time.
• Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.
