My cousin had a tonsillectomy and is in a lot of pain and doesn't want to take pain medicines we were wondering if she can use Orajel to numb the pain a little?
Can you put Orajel on your tonsils after tonsillectomy?

Michelle; It is not really for deep in the mouth use If she is having problems still give the doctor a call and they do have a product that is a prescription that is specially used for things like this and is very safe for in the mouth use. Lidocaine Viscous is a common name for it. But if she does use this have her be very careful it can numb the area and she won't know if she is drinking something hot that she could be burning herself or biting down too hard on something she is trying to eat
