I have an itchy red rash that the doctor isn't sure if is psoriasis. I was prescribed betamethasone dipropionate cream and since I used it I'm itching worse.I was wondering if Zyrtec or something I take orally would help? Also was given nyamyc powder for a sore on my breast that she thought was fungal. Feel like I'm going to itch to death.
Will Zyrtec help me with an Itchy Rash?

Yes you can try Zyrtec which is an antihistamine used to control symptoms such as itching. If the itching does not resolve using the betamethasone cream and Zyrtec then it is important to go back to your doctor to confirm the original diagnosis and perhaps be prescribed another medicine that will control and heal your symptoms.
Before going on Stelara in June 2011, I would use Aterax for my itching. It did not take it all away
but it helped some. I have had psoriasis for 50 years.
