I just found out that my husband has Pancreatitis, he was in the hospital for 4 days, however they didn't refer him to any specialist, they just said to follow up with his primary physician. I know that there has to be a Doctor that specializes in this, does anyone know?
What type of Doctor Specializes in Pancreatitis?

Did you ever find out what type of Dr. deals directly with the pancreas I am wondering because I have had nothing but problems with my stomach since having pancreatitis
sporter669, I looked up the disease and it would be a Gastrointestinal specialist who would handle pancreatic issues.
I hope your husband is on his way to a good recovery!
Best wishes,
Chris
I meant what Maso said, Gastroenterolgist (sp?)
No not a GI dr I’ve seen 3 of them they do not! Know about the pancreas if they do it’s limited so please everyone stop thinking that a GI dr can help this. They don’t know about it.
