The cost of Ranexa is prohibitive! As a disabled person I can not afford it. The manufacturer no longer offers assistance with cost. The lowest cost is $100, with Medicare. As a cardiac medication, like many others, it a required for survival. With Medicare costs rising I don't know how the disabled and elderly are able to afford their medication. The is wrong on so many levels!
I can not afford Ranexa at $307 a month
Wow that is awful, have you emailed the company that makes it? They give you huge coupons.
You didn't say why you would be considering stopping Ranexa... I mean this is a med that has changed my daily routines almost back to where they were. Please don't stop UNLESS YOUR dR SAYS TO, DOESNT SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE TALKED TO YOUR dR ABOUT.
I gave my dr a list of my meds and several are on the list of dangerous interactions. I ended up in the hospital with undiagnosed kidney failure. You do the math.
Yes my kidney doctor took my husband off this medicine because it was raising his creatin levels and bun. Also his heart doctor agreed to stop ranexa. we want to know how long it lasts in the system since he developed a chronic cough from Ranexa.

weird dreams talking to people that aren't there hears people in the hall thinks he has talked to someone that isn't there
I have been taking for about 4 yrs. After heart failure and earlier bypass surgery. But a 74yrs old I can not afford to go from $130.00 for 90days to $400.00. My Humana Gold plan. 3 pills left will call my doctor and see what else we can use. I do not understand how insurance companies can do this to people. The new America let all the old people die while the rich get richer.
I cannot afford it. I am on SS and my copay is $480 per month and I take several other meds for BP
You can order this drug from Canada 100 pills of 500 mil. For 80.00
The effects on the kidney is a bit frightening considering it takes away the angina pain in an unknown method. No one knows how it achieves that.
@nlhutson couldn't agree more, things have only worsened now in 2019.
You'll probably experience angina symptoms again.
