Ranexa - What is the best way to deal with the side affect of constipation and hard stools?

Try elemental magnesium. It's extremely gentle and works the best out of anything. I've used everything in the past. Taking any laxative that is a stimulant is no good because eventually your body gets used to it and you then have to take more and more and it will slow your intestines down more and more till they barely work. I use a brand called Mag O 7 by Aerobic Life. It's not expensive and it's a huge bottle with 180 capsules. I get it off Amazon. I've had problems for 21 years due to a very rare illness and the meds i have to take for it. So believe me, I've tried it all. This is the best I've found. I don't take it everyday. I take it like every 4-6 days. I take 4-5 pills at night. But it's different for everyone. You just have to figure out what works best for you. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Miralax. It is not a laxative but it forces more liquid into the colon and the stool. I use it EVERY DAY for my opioid induce constipation. My GI FPC SAID IT WAS SAFE.
