I have been diagnosed with shoulder tendinitis,I have tried physiotherapy treatments which don't work, my doc. just prescribed naproxen 500/20mg twice daily for two weeks. He said if this treatment does not work I would have to get a cortisone injection. I am curious about all this and would appreciate your comments. thanks
Does Vimovo 500/20mg twice daily for shoulder tendinitis work, and is Naproxen the same?

WHat is the proper sleeping position for one with shoulder problems??
I have following suggestions-
1. Look for underlying cause like diabetes or liver problem
2.Regular shoulder rotation , movement and exercise is Must.
3.Reduce time by 50 % on computer and tv.
4.Go for more juices ,warm water , green tea and redice sugar (in any form )
by 50 % in 3 weeks.
5.Meditate on shoulder for 20 mintes at a time and twice a day and visualize
a strong ray of Light is entering the spot and pain is relieved.
6. Give light massage and heat on alternate days.
7.Pray for others who have similar pains and HE will help you.Do Give sufficient rest to shoulder and check sleep position.
My Prayers with you and All in this Group--God Bless-
I like your #7 suggestion, it never hurts to pray for others. Ane the other ones sound pretty good too.
Dear Digal,
Kaismama is right. I've got OA and bone spurs in both shoulders and had cortisone injections in both on more than one occasion. If the naproxyn doesn't help the swelling and pain, the injection should. Just don't become too dependant on these injections as they will eventually break down the cartilage in the joint, causing extreme pain with few treatments. But the occasional injection over time will be fine. Hope this helped and you feel better soon!

Thanks Kaismama and Lisa for your helpful info, I hope the meds will help so that an injection will not be necessary, regards
Dear Digal, I agree with all these women... kaismama, Lisa01, and the others. Lisa what you said was helpful information. I have bursitus in my shoulders, and today my pain dr. gave me an injection for it. I didn't know too many could harm you. But I've only had two over several months. I also get injection's in my knee, and have had several. Digal, kaismama is right on about the Vimova. I got a voucher for 12 months free, and it works. It's just like naproxen, wich I was taking but for free for a year..you cant beat that. Go to Vimova's website and see if it offers this voucher. Good luck to you, my friend, Ruthie
To all who had responded to my queries. I became shoulder pain free without the aid of meds, by seeing an osteopath, 3 sessions in and it was gone. So much for the doctors meds and cortisone injections which I did not do...
Vimovo is nothing more then naproxyn with a medication to protect your stomach.
