I'm looking for help. I get tested by probation once a month, and I tested positive for abapentin; I don't take it. I haven't taken it. Is there anything that can cause false positives? I am on Lyrica, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Synthroid, Cytomel, omeprazole, and cyclobenzaprine, and I also use THC.
I’m currently investigating false positives in urinalysis testing for illicit prescription opiate use.
Specifically, I am looking for reports of falsely positive results which indicate fentanyl use in patients taking gabapentin.
Please let me know if you are being tested for fentanyl and other opiates and if you have received any results which you know to be incorrect.
I take a drug test every two weeks and my counselor told me it would be fine and would not cause a problem at all but I would say it may depend also on the type of drug test, some are so much more easier to pick up stuff this is a test that I take that is done in a lab and it is one like they use in dr. office so I think quest does this test.
