I think you're having worse pain now because (if it works like Imitrex) the blood vessels may still be restricted or expanded. I forgot what exactly it does with the vessels. How long ago did you overdose on this medication? If you aren't feeling well, please get to a doctor soon!! I found this info for you. Is it safe to assume you use it to prevent migraines?
. Topamax is also used to prevent migraine headaches. Topiramate will only prevent migraine headaches or reduce the number of attacks. It will not treat a headache that has already begun.

Yes, I agree with you I take Topamax fot my migranes... at the time hust wanted to get this person to seek medical attenton immediately, but you are 100% spot on.

Thank you so much for your info..I overdosed about 3 weeks ago..I don't remeber, but they said to my husband that since it was after 13 hrs till I was found they were not going to do anything..just let me sleep it off. I actually went on it as a mood stabilizer..I was fixated on something awful..I have ptsd and it works welll..But this pain is sooo much worse now..I could write a book just in the last month of the hell I went thru with this... Again, thank you...

Is there a different medication they could prescribe for the migraines? My daughter suffered terribly from them as a teenager. She would vomit, sleep in a dark room, sweat, no noise, and need ice packs on her neck and forehead. Then her doctor prescribed her the Imatrix injections. It was like a miracle! After her pregnancy, she simply outgrew them. Migraines can be so debilitating. Good luck to you and hope you feel better soon.

Topamax Overdose
If you happen to overdose on Topamax, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
Topamax overdose symptoms may include:
Seizures
Speech problems
Blurred vision
Thinking problems
Lethargy
Poor coordination
Low blood pressure (hypotension)
Abdominal pain (or stomach pain)
Agitation
Depression.
This may cause signs or symptoms that include:
Lightheadedness
Dizziness
Fainting
Treatment for a Topamax overdose will vary. If the overdose was recent, a healthcare provider may give certain medicines or place a tube into the stomach to "pump the stomach." Treatment also involves supportive care. This type of care consists of treating the symptoms that occur as a result of the overdose. For example, supportive treatment options may include:
Fluids through an intravenous line (IV)
Dialysis
Medications to prevent or treat seizures
Other treatments based on complications that occur.
