Depends on who told you and if this is the prescribed path.
My Dr said the anxiousness would go away to continue taking it and that I could take the Ativan until it does. I've only been on it a week
Ok. Dr knows best. Stick with it, be patient.
i agree, i just started buspar less than a week ago and still get panic/anxiety attacks and have to resort back to ativan some mornings but i am trusting the buspar will eventually work. you are not alone i promise! hang in there!
i just realized this is from 2015...
You should start feeling better in a week or two or possibly sooner.. It's best to take it the same way all the time like always with food or without food and try to take it at the same time everyday. How long have you been on the ativan?
Hang in there..
On ativan 13 months,I want off, started at .25 mg now on 1 mg. A day for about 6 months last couple weeks not working anymore I took 1.5 today before I felt relief..5 at 9am,.5 at 1 pm and then .5 about an hr. Later. I have gad and panic disorder. What about taking buspar to wean off of ativan?

Buspar is a great drug for some people. You have have to give it time to work tho. If it works for you you'll feel much better.
How long does it take to kick in?
