It should work fairly quickly, I've been on it for years, it's a longer acting benzos, campared to xanax, probably spelled that wrong, but it lasts longer,so it controls my anxiety better.you get a quicker ,more intense relief from xanax ,but will quickly go away.
I just started it and it .5 so how fast well it work
sadyoungwidow; Yes I agree with my friend that posted prior to me. Klonopin does not take a long time to kick in, It well work shortly after you take it and if you can take it on an empty stomach which most can it well get in your system faster. But around the time you want to go to bed take it a hour or so prior to going to bed. And try to do very little or think and worry about things. Like they say you get better sleep if your in a dark room, no TV to stimulate your mind just quiet and relax. And don't even think about the pill you took to help you sleep between habits and the medications you should be able to change your routine. It is not easy but remember maybe like no soda, or coffee after 3 pm to avoid caffeine. Or even if you enjoy music turn on a radio low to smoothing music. But I know I was reading to turn off your TV AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR BEFORE YOU LAY DOWN. All of this stuff should help you get some sleep.
This is a very common problem are you taking other medications too that might be making it hard for you to get to sleep? But anyway try and change your nightly routines and take the Klonopin anywhere from 1/2 to a couple hours prior to laying down. And work on shutting your mind off. hope you well be sleeping soon.
Klonopin works rather quickly. But if taking it at 9pm isn't helping you sleep try taking it at 7pm. Then go to bed at 9pm, and try just reading until you feel sleepy. You have to slow down, get prepared to fall asleep. You can't take it and walk around doing things thinking I'm going to get sleepy soon, Is this the only medication you take? Was it given to you for this specific purpose? Try taking it on an empty stomach as well.
