Why does my daily 5mg of tadalafil seem not to be working for me to achieve a hard-on strong enough for sex. I wake up early morning with a super erection but it goes away fairly quickly. Would a 20 mg sildenafil help any if I added it to my regime of 5mg daily?
Tadalafil 5mg daily not working very well?

No! Do not combine these drugs unless you speak to your doctor about it first.
I also take 5 mg of tadalafil daily. When I first started a couple years ago, I noticed an immediate difference in the size of my penis, even when flaccid, indicating much more blood flow to the penis.
What I do now is take 5 mg 6 days a week, so that I am always saving one tablet per week. That way, if I know I am going to be engaging in sex, I have the option of taking up to 20 mg of tadalafil prior to the sexual activity, although I have not needed to do that yet. There are two ways of dosing for tadalafil: either a 5 mg a day maintenance dose, or a 20 mg dose prior to sexual activity.
I would suggest that you see your doctor or a urologist and have your testosterone checked, if you have not already. I also have low testosterone, so I take testosterone transdermal gel every day, and that also helps with my sex drive. We have had to increase the amount a couple of times to get me where I needed to be.
Finally, look at other factors in your life, especially your diet, your activity level and your tobacco and alcohol use. Any one of those things can affect your libido and your ability to achieve an erection.
Are you single or do you have a sexual partner? Oftentimes, ED cannot be properly diagnosed for those without a sexual partner that arouses them. In other words, some of us need that (a partner that turns us on, pornography, etc) to get aroused and maintain an erection and have an orgasm. If you are masturbating, another suggestion that was given to me by my physician was to mix it up. Don't always masturbate in the same place or the same way. Try different techniques, different positions, different rooms in the house, etc. If you watch porn, try it sometimes with porn and sometimes without. Keep things interesting and fluid and above all, relax. Stress over the situation itself can get in the way of getting an erection. So relaxation is paramount.
I can tell this is very important to you, as it should be. so please have a serious conversation about it with your doctor or a specialist.
I take tadalafil for BPH at 5 mg a day in the evenings. If you have a nice morning erection and tight scrotum, wanting further arousal through to orgasm, try teeth crushing a 5 mg tadalafil on an empty stomach soon after waking up. With stimulation, it takes about 10-15 minutes to fully climax to a copious ejaculation. You can skip the evening dose that day.
"You shouldn’t take Cialis (tadalafil) and Viagra (sildenafil citrate) together to help with treating erectile dysfunction (ED).
It’s also typically recommended that you take one or the other shortly before sex, but not daily or on a regular schedule. These ED medications only work if you’re already aroused.
Taking both Cialis and Viagra can also increase your risk of side effects, such as low blood pressure.
And if you feel like you need to take a second ED medication because the first one isn’t helping, you may need to see your doctor so they can check for any underlying issues that may be causing your ED."
