Hi, I suffer from a torn rotator cuff and am in constant pain especially at night. My doctor prescribed me four 50mg tablets of Tramadol a day or as needed. She told me to take two at bedtime. Will I be okay taking three? And what's the max mg I can take every day?
I just took three tablets of 50mg Tramadol. Will I be okay?

yes,,i take 8 50 mg a day for pain,,,
The maximum daily dose is eight tablets daily but usually Doctors prescribe four a day instead of eight because, God forbid, we actually get adequate pain relief. The makers of the drug says you can take eight. I usually take three at a time but I have a high tolerance. Whether or not you could handle three at once would depend on such specifics as your tolerance, weight, other meds you take that also cause drowsiness, and if you've ever had a seizure disorder. If you're of average weight, don't have seizures and aren't on other drugs like sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, or anti-anxiety drugs, three should be fine. But don't take three four times a day, still break it up so that you're not taking more than eight or nine as your total daily dose.
You a bitch I'm off 14 and a fist full of Xanax go big or go home
I am not sure what you just said?

I am prescribed 6 50 mg tablets a day. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have taken 3 within a 3 hour period and you should be ok.
You should be fine. I took 2 50mg my first time taking them and I barely felt any effect, I take like 6 at a time and feel great. Don't go more than 8 50mg pills though, 400mg=Max dosage recommended.
i take tremandol to im on 100 mgs every 6 hours the max is 400mgs a day.
Hello chaoskaye- I am on tramadol 50mg three times a day. It's not nearly enough for the level of pain I'm in from several incurable, lifelong conditions. I have been on it for eight years and just recently they cut me back from 100mg four times a day to 50mg three times a day. I'll be honest with you, I have taken 4 at a time and it does help. However, I would like to be put on hydrocodone- they are both narcotics but narco has way less side effects. Good luck to you finding the correct dose for your specific pain level, hope your dr works with you.
Yes you will be ok taking 3 or even 4 i used to abuse tramadol and ive taken 10 without the seizures that are said to come with it . not a pleasent experience however . vommiting and nausea all night
You should be fine. I've personally taken up to nine 50mg tablets and I'm fine. Don't worry
To be on the safe side, I would call your Pharmacist and ask them what is safe and what is not. They tend to know more than even the doctors. Please be careful until you know what the safe amount to take is, and what isn't. Hugs
Usual Adult Dose for Pain
Immediate-release: 50 to 100 mg orally every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain
Maximum dose: 400 mg per day
I am planning on taking 8 100mg. Will this do the trick?
That is twice the amount suggested so at least you know.
I hope everything was ok when you took three I only go by what the bottle say to do.
Yes. You will be fine. I take 300mg tablets. I chew them up. 3 times per day.
I take six 50mg tablets of tramadol or 300 mgs if you add it up.
I don't take it every day, I skip 1-2-3-4- or even 5 days at a time before I take it again. I have never had any with drawl symptoms at all. In years. If I run out I run out, there is nothing bothersome other than my regular back pain returning to its usual intensity.
