Prednisone - For gout flare up how should prednisone 20 mg be taken and for how long?

A few years ago I was given methylprednisolone 4mg dosepak taking 5 first day down to 1. New doctor gave me straight prednisolone 20 mg three times a day till finished, about 14 pills. Does that sound right?

Prednisone - OK to stop after 5 days?

I was prescribed 10mg prednisone for bronchitis. 5 pills for 2 days, then 4 for 2, 3 for 2 and so on. After the first day at 3 pills I forgot to take any more since I was feeling better. I've now forgotten for 2 day and feel perfectly fine. Should I be concerned about any unforeseen issues?
