How critical is the expiration date of Carafate?

My doctor recently prescribed Carafate again. The remaining bottle I have from 2013 states that it should be used by 03/13/04. It is now June 2. This is a very expensive medication and, if this date is arbitrary, I would prefer to finish this bottle before reordering.

Is 5mg of folic acid thats prescribed by a gp the same as buying them from asda?

My husband has ran out of his prescription only medication, folic acid 5mg, so he has bought some from asda but it doesn't provide the strength of the individual tablets, are all folic acid tablets the same strengths?? Thanku in advance x

Metronidazole - Dark Brown Discharge!?

I've been taking metronidazole tablets for four days now.. And I've been having dark brown, almost black, discharge. Is it the medication getting rid of old blood? I'm not sure what it is.. Help!
