How effective is Clindamycin on foot infections?

I have a serious foot infection on my right foot underneath my toes. I just started taking the medicine yesterday. How long does it take before i will see any results of the medication starting to take effect on my infection? Thank you, John

Medication - I found a clear pill with a black or brown packed powder in my brothers ash tray. There was weed ash inside so I know he is using drugs.. Can anyone help me figure out what it was? It had no markings on it :-/
