I dont want to lose my Xanax?

What is the difference between 0.5mg Xanax and Prozac 20mg? The doctor said that when I turn 60 years old in December, he wont give me Xanax any more for fear of me falling. I am active and have no physical disabilities. Is there any other kind of drug that is similar to Xanax?

Can Metformin have the side effect of depression?

The only new medication this particular patient has been taking is Metformin. Since taking this drug pt has experienced panic attacks and depression. Both the anxiety and depression were not present prior to the use of Metformin.
