Hi, I am new to being on birth control. I started Sprintec 4 months ago to ensure that my body would be adjusted to it by our wedding 2 weeks ago. I have taken the pill very consistantly every day at 9am and haven't missed a day. I usually get my period the 3rd day of the placbos (white pills or inactive pills). I am wondering that if I have sex anytime during the placebos pills am I still protected or is there a chance of getting pregnant?? Thanks for you help!
I am on the Sprintec 28 day tablet. Can I get pregnant if I have sex during the placebos week?

No you cannot get pregnant
The pill works by preventing ovulation. When you get to the placebos, the active pills have already prevented ovulation so there is no chance to get pregnant while on the placebos. Once you are established on the pill, having taken it for at least a month (manufacturers say seven days but most gynecologists and other womens healthcare providers feel it is better to wait a full cycle) you may have sex and be protected from getting pregnant at any time in your cycle as long as you dont miss any pills. The pill also works best when taken at roughly the same time of day to be most effective. You are good to go!
Yes, you are protected if you have unprtoected sex, while you are taking the placebo pills. So long as you take it on time, etc. daily... which you have been doing.
