Does RhoGAM have long term effects on your immune system?

I am 59 yrs old. I also had Rhogam for 2 pregnancies. I have Lupus, Sjogrens syndrome and a lot of other things. My son 38 has MS and my daughter 36 has a lot of muscular/joint problems. I had never given the Rhogam any thoughts until now. After reading for weeks about this I now believe the shots do destroy the immune systems of Mom and baby. I cannot believe I haven't ever learned any of this until now.

I am 39 years old and my sisters are 36 and 37. Our mother has B- blood and she had the RhoGAM shots with all of us while pregnant and after. Unfortunately, all four of us have been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune issues and some things we suffer from doctors can’t even pinpoint what it is. I also have an older half sister on my dads side that does NOT have these autoimmune issues and every day pain, to me that’s a pretty big red flag. I wish someone would do something about this shot so that no one else has to go through this. At the very least they should figure out a way to help those of us that are suffering. I’m so sorry you all are in the same boat, but I feel less crazy now that I’ve found you all.

I firmly believe that shot caused my autoimmune issues. Hyperthyroid, fibromyalgia, sun allergy, hives, muscle problems , joint problems, arthritis, POTS. My neurologist found lesions in my brain that can't be explained. All these symptoms started not long after my first Rhogam shot. I never thought about it being the cause and recently began looking for answers, and found this site. I was COMPLETELY healthy before those shots.

I have had 5 shots total. Prior to those shots I had not had any vaccine in decades. I had very few vaccines as a child because I got most childhood illnesses naturally. I have never had a flu shot. I have not had a vaccine for anything since the rhogam shots. I will NEVER take a vaccine again.
Damn the doctors , and the FDA , damn the corrupt vaccine manufacturers for LYING, with lies of omission and commission !!
There needs to be more awareness and warnings, that will be more difficult because only a small population of women are RH-

I got my Rhogam shot at my confirmation appointment of my 7 week missed miscarriage (a week after my 8 week appointment). A few days later I started experiencing hand joint pain-it woke me up in the middle of the night. It lasted a week or so and then the left side of my jaw started hurting. The joint hurt so much it was hard to chew. That lasted less than a week. And then it flared up again a little bit soon after that. So for a few weeks I definitely experienced joint problems. Since then, about 2 months ago, I seem to be doing fine. I suspected the Rhogam shot. There's nothing else it could have been.

JL I know Plexus Worldwide has an anti-fungal probiotic. They have amazing gut health products.

I ended up sensitized despite having Rhogam but went on to have a healthy rh positive baby boy. Praise God
But the shot is not proven to work as intended!!

I received a Rhogam shot last year in March(2021) I didn't even need this because I'm rh positive. i definitely have alot more allergies now. Reading everyone's stories has me even more nervous. I would like to detoxify my body. And would love to know what supplement exactly to take to do that.

It is impossible to prove. I had a very similar experience, 3 pregnancies, 3 sets of Rhogam shots (6 weeks and shortly after birth). After the second pregnancy is when the autoimmune diseases started. It seems like they escalate every year since. The frustrating part is the denial in the medical community about it. I'm not sure I would have listened to a warning, but I would feel better about it if I was warned. Or if i knew to begin with what I was getting into being a rh negative female. I found out about it being a problem after I was already pregnant. I only know 2 other people who have also had the Rhogam shots and also had similar results. This seems like it has to be more than coincidence. I wonder if the Manufacturer may have interfered with any studies regarding any negative long term side effects of the Rhogam shots?

I am 17 weeks pregnant, o-, and being told I must get the rhogam shot at 28wks, right after birth and possibly a few days after. My gut reaction when I found this out was deep suspicion. I was shocked at how little research there is out there on the side effects and potential issues that could effect moms and babies after the rhogam. After reading all your stories I know my gut reaction isn't uncalled for. Thank you all so much for sharing your stories. It literally brings me to tears - I was feeling crazy for saying no to the shot but now feel much more certain. It amazes me how hard OB drs are pushing this. If anyone has any other links or research to share please do. I will try and do the same.

I'm amazed to find this thread and so many women posting about problems with the rhogam shot. It's almost impossible to find this kind of dialogue. I myself have had 7 rhogam shots. I too question if my health issues are from the shots. I have suffered from various health issues the last several years. Severe eczema. Severe digestive problems. Many food allergies; gluten , nuts, sulfites among others. Thyroid issues. Among other health issues. I feel lied to about this product. I felt coerced into getting it. I have been bullied by an OB about this shot. I was not aware of the potential problems associated with it. Knowing what I now know after many hours of research I will never get this shot again. Too much harm has been done I believe.

I was searching for long therm studies and outcomes on the babies and can't find anything. I was given RhoGAM 4 times, developed different manifestations of autoimmune disease, including ugly skin conditions. After second round I was feeling so tired all of the sudden, and no one could answer what is happening to me. My child also stopped growing in utero, around the first shot, I had to to for a weekly ultra sonograms and deliver early. My child was diagnosed with autism, her immune system was very weak. My second child is super smart, athletic, I did not receive RhoGAM while pregnant with him. I don't understand why FDA is not doing longitutal even retrospective studies, making sure that this product is not causing huge damage on pregnant women!

Yes yes and yes. It shut my immune system down. I’ve been on thyroid mods ever since! I went through a period of rashes all over my body. I got thrush at least 4 times. My face had a rash that made me look like a monster. I dang near died through the year after I got it!!! I ended up with fluid on my lung a kidney not properly working Oh and my hair fell out I became extremely anemic and it was all horrible. I still have effects of what it did!

I feel the Rhogam shot gave me a gluten allergy. 3 months post birth I developed hives and peeling skin on my hands which would not go away. They were excruciatingly painful and itchy. I eventually connected it to wheat consumption, an issue I never had b4. I have found that taking a combination of probiotic, vitamin D, and zinc really helped with the symptoms. I had a benign tumor in my breast that developed a year after pregnancy which has shrunk dramatically since going GF. I took rhogam twice, the 1st after a miscarriage (age 31) and 2nd after birth (age33).
