Maybe over-the-counter products, anything at all? I also have MG which makes it very dangerous taking depression drugs. Thanks everyone
Is there anything out there that will help to relieve depression other then dangerous drugs.

Some other folks should be coming along with some "natural" remedies but be careful with both OTC's and natural remedies, as many can interact with other medications and medical conditions. Check with your doctor, naturopath, or pharmacist first.
Have you tried therapy as an alternative? CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) can be especially effective for many people.
Actually, most antidepressants aren't terribly dangerous when used properly. I've been on many, if not all, of them over a whole lot of years and have had nothing but very positive effects and results with no long-term consequences.
Hey WC: Have you had any experience with Diazepam/5 and 10 mg? Thanks for your replies WC...
Some of the benzodiazepines (BZD's) have been shown to be moderately effective for atypical and non-anxious depression when compared to the earlier antidepressants (TCA's and MAOI's). There have been relatively few studies comparing BZD's with the newer generation antidepressants such as the SSRI, SNRI, and atypical classes.
I've had no personal experience with Valium or any other BZD because I'm a recovering addict/alcoholic so no controlled substances for me. I do know they are generally only used for short term treatment because they can be addictive for many people and long term use can actually cause increased depression.
Hope some of this may be helpful...
