Hello my wife is taking a penicillin based drug for infection In foot "STOOD ON A NAIL OUCH " . I'm allergic to penicillin I had a mild reaction when i was much younger so doctors though best keep me off the antibiotic anyway i would like to know if it can be transferred by sexual intercourse . I know it's possible by kissing depending on the drug . Be we would really like to know can it be passed to me via intercourse of any type . Thank you

This depends on how allergic you are to some extent (yes vaginal and seminal fluids can contain traces of antibiotics) and it depends on her method of taking the medication, dosage, stop date -and then you (or her physician or pharmacist) can determine when it should be out her system entirely.

Thanks for your answer , she is taking tablets with a glass of water , she's only been on them for a day and a half 5 tablets up to now . We were wondering she looked shocked when i refused her advances haha protection will be used . To clarify vaginal oral and anal all possible of passing penicillin on to me .

My experience with my allergic wife has never been an issue as long as I don't let saliva come in contact with her mouth or other sensitive areas. Even then she had a cream or ointment and it was itchy but not as bad as if she took it she said.

All holes are potential risks, but the risk is highest with saliva spread.
