Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory drug and it will help with swelling and inflammation but it is not an antibiotic. If there is infection present, it will not help the infection. I recommend that you consult a dentist. If the swelling is just due to inflammation the naproxen is a good choice but if the swelling is due to infection, you will need to treat the underlying infection with an antibiotic.
