Hopefully you have seen your doctor by now, but lots of gas can be associated with some intestinal flora/fauna that is not usual for your digestive system. I won't endorse those pro-biotic pills and drinks but a few spoonfuls of plain yoghurt can be surprisingly helpful.
You haven't told us if you have a known disorder that might present with these effects. If it is not contra-indicated with any of your other medications you will need a laxative or similar to get things moving properly (preferably plant fiber based rather than chemical although many of these have listed cautions on the label and ALL assume the person taking it is in good general physical health). Intestinal pressure/ minor distention from gas can be very effective at preventing proper movement of waste through the large intestine in some people (and consequently bowel movements). Also, the presence of mucous with the movements is a concern.
if you have Crohn's disease or IBS or some other gastro-intestinal disorder; that will have to be managed by a Doctor. I would hate to provide a generic opinion, only to discover you have something, as yet, unmentioned where all of the above does not apply (except for seeing a doctor).
Good luck, Steve
