I have been with my boyfriend for 9 months now and haven't had any issues. Today I found out I have trichomoniasis. He says he hasn't been with anyone but me in a little over a year. Can trichomoniasis lay dormant for that long or is it more likely that he is cheating?
How long can trichomoniasis lay dormant in men?

He was likely infected when you got together if you can claim no doubt that it was not you. The little parasites (flat worms) have likely been multiplying since the first time you had unprotected sex.
It is never 'dormant', the only thing that changes is your bodies ability to fight the infection.
It definitely wasn't from me. I was a firm believer in condoms the few times I've been intimate before my boyfriend. Thank you for the help!
