i had gotten nexplanon implanted at my 6 week check up after having my daughter(sometime around aug 2012) i literally bled almost every single day besides a few weeks, and finally got it taken out 2 weeks ago, i was just wondering if i need to get on something right away or how long it takes for the nexplanon to be out of your system, esp considering i had unprotected sex 2 days after getting it removed. thank you

Me and my husband are stress out cu we’ve been trying since I got my Nexplanon implant out in September 2019 after I got it in in November 2015, my period has been Irregular as heck, and last month I Bled from the 18 till last week on I think either Thursday or Friday. I have an appointment with my OB/GYN, to see what’s going on with my body and hormones, we r just worried that I’m not capable of having another baby
About to get this out of my arm. It's been causing stress and pain in my arm and also I be on my period for a couple of days, it's goes off and then it comes back again. Is it best for me to go ahead and get it taken out?
I got the nexplanon removed in 2014 only had it for 3 months & ever since 2015 I’m not able to get pregnant & I still be trying but nothing.
Are your periods regular?
I know this is an old forum but I will say I definitely noticed a difference in the Nexplanon, I first got mine put in July 2012 had it in the full 3 year and had it replaced in July 2015 those first 2 did fine, when i first got on it i did have my period for 3 weeks then off for a week and that went on for 3 to 4 month but still i felt fine and I went back to mine normal period after those first few months, now I kept the 2nd one in the full 3 years but was late getting it taken out, I got it out in November 2018 and after that everything went wrong,
I could tell my body was not liking it and my period went to every other month but I still kept it in for a year thinking the bad reaction was due to having the 2nd one in for too long but I also thing being on any birth control for 7 years can cause some bad reactions so I'm not sure what to think of it all and it could be that they changed the medicine somehow over the years but my husband and I have decided to try and have a child so i have got the nexplanon removed as of yesterday Nov 22nd, 2019 so I will keep an update here on how my period went and if I was able to get pregnant, if I dont respond that means nothing happened.
Wow I got mine taken out the same day . My question is I had sex on the 17th which he came inside me . On the 22nd I got it removed that morning . I started spotting pinkish color the same day and then started bleeding a little bit but it went away it seemed like it was implantation bleeding but that’s impossible right ? I haven’t bled anymore so i just want to know is this normal or its impossible for sperm to live inside a woman that long . Atleast two people told me that the doctor said it can live up to 7 seven days but idk how true that is.. someone please respond
It's up to 5 days sperm can live inside fertile cervical mucus. It's advised that you keep the implant in for 5 days after sex.
Everyone is different, some can take a few days, weeks or even months. I gotten my first implant 6 Months after having my first baby. My period was pretty normal, some were heavy but had regular periods. I've had the implant for a Year and a half and gotten it taken out. I gotten it taken out in June of 2017 and got pregnant February of 2018. It took a while for me to get Pregnant but wasn't trying neither. After having my 2nd baby in October of 2018, I gotten the implant again a Month after. This time around my period is NOT regular. They are always heavy and I'm always bleeding. I will be on my period 7-9 days, off for 2-4 days and back on my period just on and off. If this doesn't stop in the next Month or two I'm going to get it taken out and just use another birth control..
I’ve had nexplanon since November of 2017. I bled for about a year and two months and it finally stopped. I have regular periods now. You can get pregnant within a week after getting nexplanon removed. Best of luck to you ❤️
I removed my nexplanon after having it for 4 years on November 26, 2014 and found out I was pregnant December 31 2014.
I got my implant removed February 6, I’m due November 14! I got my period while on the implant and it was irregular. Once I got it removed i never got a period
Can I ask you a questions?
Hi Im 25 my kids are 7and a half I been on birth control six straight years and getting it removed tomorrow how long will it take me to get pregnant while on birth control I really never had a period the whole six years
Every woman is different. But my doctor told me that after having the nexplanon removed that you can get pregnant within the first week. She also suggested starting a birth control pill a week prior to getting it removed. I've had my nexplanon implant for almost three years. Getting it removed in three days. Because me and my boyfriend decided we want to have a child. But again with the nexplanon every woman is affected differently with it. But I would suggest going and getting on some type of birth control. If you and you're boyfriend/husband are not trying to have a baby right now. I hope this is helpful to you in some way.
After You Took Your Nexplanon You Got Pregnant ?
